*DAILY DEW 15TH/FEBRUARY/2022* *The Bible: The Guide to Christ* _Key Bible Text:_ *"You have your heads in your Bibles constantly because you think you'll find eternal life there. But you miss the forest for the trees. These Scriptures are all about me (JESUS Christ)!."* (John 5:39 (The Message)) _Bible Insight:_ Desire: I want to read my bible. Plan: I'll read through the book of Acts today. Discipline: Picks up bible and flips to Acts. Gets tired at chapter 2. Gets up to stretch, sits back and continues to read. Feels sleepy at chapter 7, gets up again, sprinkles water on his face, sits back to continue to read. At chapter 14, sees something remarkable that he's never seen like that before! Keeps reading with much curiosity. Gets to chapter 20 and feels sleepy again. Gets a gum to chew to stay alert. Reads till the end. *** In the matter of reading your Bible, always remember this: It isn't sin alone that hinders spiritual growth. Watch those legitimate things that fight against your attention towards spiritual things and learn to put them in their proper place. God first! When He comes first, nothing else can distract you or hinder growth. If you are praying that God should make you to be like Christ, or that you want to draw closer to God, remember: From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible has a central message: God's plan of Redemption accomplished in Christ. If you miss this, the bible remains a closed book, even a mystery. Christ is the Light of the Scriptures! Your prayer to be closer to God, or to be more like Christ, is only answered as you discipline yourself to be consistent with your personal Bible reading and studying scriptures. Selah! _MEDITATION:_ *You said you will study your bible and pray everyday but you missed a day or two and you gave up. A lot has been said about consistency but do you know that consistency is also about CONTINUING even when you fail sometimes? Learn to CONTINUE from where you STOPPED. *DAILY DEW 14TH/FEBRUARY/2022* *Faith Series: Righteous Rebels-- The Rebellion of Faith* (III) _Key Bible Text:_ *"By Faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with peace."* (Hebrews 11:31 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ Following a step further from the example of Moses, Rehab was on a whole new level of rebellious righteousness. Like Moses, Rehab had to abandon her people and took sides with the children of Israel who sent in spies to the land of Jericho. Unlike Moses, Rehab had never been a citizen of Israel. She was by birth and by default from Jericho. So, whereas Moses only reverted back to his original people, Rehab actually "betrayed" her people. As a radical righteous rebel, Rehab, seeing the chips were down, refused to play by the book, and rather, shifted her allegiance towards God and his people Israel. At some points, all true radical righteous rebels of the Kingdom, must shift allegiance from this world, to God. This has to be done unapologetically and intentionally, even if subtly but firmly. Our alliance and allegiance must always be to God's word, His ways and His Kingdom. Knowing that heaven and earth will pass away but those who do the will of God will abide forever. Like Jericho, this world, her wealth, and her wisdom, will soon be destroyed. *DAILY DEW 13TH/FEBRUARY/2022* *BE SENSITIVE (Part 3)* _Key Bible Text:_ *"Watch yourselves, so that you may not lose what we have worked for, but may win a full reward."* (2 John 1:8 (ESV)) _Bible Insight:_ It is written that the devil is roaming about looking for whom to devour. Have you been observing this in your daily life? As you live each day, does it count for Christ, in so much that you are listening to the voice of God concerning that project you embarked on? Or concerning that marriage you want to enter? Or concerning that admission you are seeking? Be sensitive! The Bible clearly told us that let Him that think he stands take heed lest he fall. Have you been taking heed to the things God is calling you to? Be sensitive. Acts 17:30 (ESV version) told us that *"The time of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent"* Being insensitive, unemotional and unintentional is a sin. _MEDITATION:_ *Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the Faith; prove your own selves. Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep. -- Rom.12.14-15 (KJV) Do you know sensitivity really matters in the way you relate with people around you? Have you been offended by some people you trusted or called friends? This is telling you that there is someone that want your attention more than them (GOD)! Are you ready to be used by the Almighty? Are you ready to let the one and only God of all creation use you mightily as a vessel unto honor? Your trust should be on Him alone. You need to be sensitive at all times. Know where you are standing with God. Be conscious and be sensitive to His voice. Everything that happens to a child of God is to make him or her follow the right way God is leading him or her to. Don't be depressed by the imperfections of your love ones. The Devil is poised to pounce, and would like nothing better than to catch you napping."* (1Peter 5:8 (MSB)) _Bible Insight:_ According to the Dictionary to be sensitive is to be quick to detect or respond to slight changes, signals, or influences. And one is said to be sensitive when they are able to respond to paranormal influences. Sensitivity is needed everytime for a child of God. Do you doubt if you are sensitive or not? Maybe you are wandering if truly you are a child of God. Make yourself available to God by holding unto your faith in God in order to allow Him come into your heart. God is so interested in living in you and using you for His glory but dear brother/sister you need to be alert. Be sensitive. _MEDITATION:_ *Be careful!
