*DAILY DEW 14TH/FEBRUARY/2022* *Faith Series: Righteous Rebels-- The Rebellion of Faith* (III) _Key Bible Text:_ *"By Faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with peace."* (Hebrews 11:31 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ Following a step further from the example of Moses, Rehab was on a whole new level of rebellious righteousness. Like Moses, Rehab had to abandon her people and took sides with the children of Israel who sent in spies to the land of Jericho. Unlike Moses, Rehab had never been a citizen of Israel. She was by birth and by default from Jericho. So, whereas Moses only reverted back to his original people, Rehab actually "betrayed" her people. As a radical righteous rebel, Rehab, seeing the chips were down, refused to play by the book, and rather, shifted her allegiance towards God and his people Israel. At some points, all true radical righteous rebels of the Kingdom, must shift allegiance from this world, to God. This has to be done unapologetically and intentionally, even if subtly but firmly. Our alliance and allegiance must always be to God's word, His ways and His Kingdom. Knowing that heaven and earth will pass away but those who do the will of God will abide forever. Like Jericho, this world, her wealth, and her wisdom, will soon be destroyed.
