*DAILY DEW 24/OCTOBER/2023* *THE MERCY OF THE LORD* (2) _Key Bible Text:_ *"But the LORD was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison."* (Genesis 39:21 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ Mercy is not because of unrighteousness. Mercy is not only because you are not in the will of God. Mercy is not only because you are doing wrong. What is Mercy then? Mercy is a divine favourable disposition of God towards a man, that evokes from God passion to make that man fulfill all that he was made to accomplish in life. We are not looking for Mercy to solve a little problem, not for an immediate situation but for a lifespan. *Mercy is a divine evaluation of a man's strength with a view of making it up for him to meet up divine expectation.* When God calls a man or give a man an assignment, that is his mandate. However, when God wants to help the man with His Mercy, God measures the lifespan, and length of years of the man and give the man the required capacity to succeed. We only receive mercy to fulfill God's will, God's mandate for our life. No man will enter into the mandate of God for his life until he has obtained Mercy. You need to give yourself totally to God. Take the mercy, accept the help."* (Heb.4.16 (MSB)) _Bible Insight:_ The unfailing love of the LORD never ends! By his mercies we have been kept from complete destruction. Lam.3.22 (NLT) Every man that will accomplish what God has for him must rely solely on God -- not because they are energetic, or intelligent even though it is very good to be intelligent. Even if you are very fast or dexterious, all these are not sufficient to take you to where God wants you to go. The mercy of the Lord needs to be received for life and destiny to be what God purpose it to be. I have observed something else in this world of ours. The fastest runner doesn't always win the race, and the strongest warrior doesn't always win the battle. The wise are often poor, and the skillful are not necessarily wealthy. And those who are educated don't always lead successful lives. It is all decided by chance, by being at the right place at the right time. *DAILY DEW 28/AUGUST/2022* *SHINE BRIGHT (Part 3)* _Key Bible Text:_ *So don’t hide your light! Let it shine brightly before others so that your commendable works will shine as light upon them, and then they will give their praise to your Father in heaven.”* (Matthew 5:16 (TPT)) _Bible Insight:_ A lot of people have lost the light of God in their lives because of some things that they think it doesn't matter, it cannot affect them. We need to know these viruses that can kill the light of God in our lives. For us not to be a victim but a victor and rejoice at the end of our race here on earth. Here are some of the things that kill the light of God in one's life. i. Carelessness with the Word ii. Laziness in the things of the Spirit iii. Prayerlessness iv. Overconfidence in self v. Pride and so on. You need to be more careful even as you are growing in the Lord, the devil is not happy at all with your progress. Ensure not to allow him take control over your life. You have a forever faithful Father, the owner of heaven and earth, the giver of light, life and grace. His arms are always widespread to embrace as many that will run to Him. Drop all the trash in the trash bin and let Him cleanse you up for your light to begin to shine "so bright". He is always ready when you are ready. Give Him the chance and you will never regret you did. _MEDITATION:_ *"The very credentials these people are waving around as something special, I'm tearing up and throwing out with the trash--along with everything else I used to take credit for. And why? Because of Christ. Yes, all the things I once thought were so important are gone from my life. Compared to the high privilege of knowing Christ Jesus as my Master, firsthand, everything I once thought I had going for me is insignificant--dog dung. I've dumped it all in the trash so that I could embrace Christ and be embraced by him. *DAILY DEW 27/AUGUST/2022* *SHINE BRIGHT (Part 2)* _Key Bible Text:_ *Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.* (Matthew 5:16 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ In the previous Dew, the Lord opened our eyes to see that we can shine brighter to the extent that men will see our good works and glorify God. We will so shine that all men will come to our brightness. We are going to be looking at the things we can do by God's grace that will make us "so shine...". Below are some things God needs us to do in order for our lights to shine brighter or brightest among others: *Receive the giver of the light who will make you shine brighter.* *Know the giver of the light intimately, who will make you so shine brighter.* *Allow the giver of the light direct your life, so He will make you shine brighter* *Depend daily on the giver of the light so Hewill make you shine brighter.* *Trust & obey Him till the very end* In all these, give Him all the glory when your light begins to shine. There is the light of the moon, there is the light of the stars, there is the light of the sun, and there is the light of electricity. As these light exist in the physical categories, so also are there degrees of light in the spiritual aspect. What kind of light are you shining? The Bible text gave us a command that we should let our light "So" shine....This means your light can be shining but there is a stage that it will so shine before men will see your good works, and glorify God in You. Have you gotten to this stage where the light of God is shining in You and people come to the brightness of it and glorify God. Shine the light of God....
