_Key Bible Text:_
*"But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you."* (John 14:26 (KJV))
_Bible Insight_
Jesus' promise in John 14:26 is a comforting assurance to His disciples, who were struggling to come to terms with His impending departure. He promised that the Father would send the Holy Spirit, also known as the Comforter, in His name. This divine Helper would provide guidance, teaching, and remembrance of Jesus' words.
The Holy Spirit's role, as described in this verse, is multifaceted. He would "teach you all things," implying that He would provide spiritual understanding and insight. Additionally, He would "bring all things to your remembrance," helping the disciples recall Jesus' teachings and words. This promise is especially significant, given the disciples' limited understanding of Jesus' mission and message at the time.
The lesson from this verse is that believers are not left to navigate the complexities of faith alone. The Holy Spirit is our divine Helper, Teacher, and Reminder. He empowers us to understand and apply God's Word, and He brings to mind the teachings of Jesus, helping us to walk in obedience and faith. As we rely on the Holy Spirit, we can experience the comfort, guidance, and assurance that Jesus promised.

*"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father."* (John 14:12 (KJV))
_Bible Insight_
Jesus' statement in John 14:12 is a profound promise to His followers. He assures them that they will not only continue His work but also surpass it. The phrase "the works that I do shall he do also" indicates that believers will be empowered to perform similar miracles and wonders that Jesus did during His ministry.
The phrase "and greater works than these shall he do" is a remarkable assertion. Jesus is saying that His followers will accomplish even greater things than He did. This is not because they are more capable or talented, but because Jesus will be going to the Father, where He will intercede for them and provide them with the necessary power and resources (John 14:13-14, 16-17).
The lesson from this verse is that Jesus' departure to the Father marked the beginning of a new era of ministry, where His followers would be empowered to continue and expand His work. This promise is not limited to the apostles or early Christians but extends to all believers throughout history.

_Key Bible Text:_
*"Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?"* (John 14:9 (KJV))
_Bible Insight_
Jesus' statement in John 14:9 was a response to Philip's request, "Shew us the Father" (John 14:8). Philip's request revealed his misunderstanding of Jesus' divine nature and His relationship with the Father. Jesus had been with the disciples for three years, teaching, preaching, and performing miracles, yet Philip still didn't grasp the reality of Jesus' divinity.
Jesus' reply, "he that hath seen me hath seen the Father," emphasizes the unity and oneness between the Father and the Son. Jesus was not just a messenger or a prophet; He was the embodiment of the Father's character, love, and wisdom. By seeing Jesus, the disciples had seen the Father, for Jesus was the exact representation of the Father's being (Hebrews 1:3).
The lesson from this verse is that Jesus Christ is the ultimate revelation of God the Father. We don't need to look beyond Jesus to understand God's nature, love, and character. Jesus' life, teachings, death, and resurrection provide a complete and perfect picture of the Father. As we gaze upon Jesus, we behold the Father, and our understanding of God is transformed forever.

_Key Bible Text:_
*"If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it."* (John 14:14 (KJV))
_Bible Insight_
Here are three key lessons from John 14:14:
Lesson 1: The Power of Prayer in Jesus' Name
Jesus' promise in John 14:14 emphasizes the importance of praying in His name. When we pray in Jesus' name, we are acknowledging His authority, power, and mediation. This is not a magical formula, but a genuine expression of our dependence on Him and our alignment with His will.
Lesson 2: The Condition for Answered Prayer
The verse begins with "If ye shall ask," indicating that there is a condition for Jesus to answer our prayers. We must ask in faith, in accordance with God's will, and with the right motives. This condition highlights the importance of aligning our prayers with Scripture and seeking God's glory rather than our own interests.
Lesson 3: The Assurance of Jesus' Response
Jesus' promise, "I will do it," provides assurance that He will respond to our prayers prayed in His name. This assurance is not a guarantee of immediate answers or specific outcomes but rather a confidence that Jesus will work everything out for our good and His glory. As we pray in Jesus' name, we can trust in His sovereign wisdom and timing.
_MEDITATION:_

*Salvation Through Jesus*
_Key Bible Text:_
*"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."* (John 14:6 (KJV))
_Bible Insight_
Jesus' statement in John 14:6 is a profound declaration of His divine identity and role. He asserts, "I am the way, the truth, and the life," emphasizing His exclusive position as the mediator between God and humanity. This affirmation underscores Jesus' unique status as the Son of God, sent to reconcile the world to the Father.
Jesus' claim, "no man cometh unto the Father, but by me," highlights the exclusivity of salvation through Him. This statement eliminates any notion of multiple paths to God or alternative means of salvation. Instead, Jesus presents Himself as the sole gateway to the Father, emphasizing the necessity of faith in Him for eternal life.
The implications of John 14:6 are far-reaching and profound. This verse underscores the centrality of Jesus Christ in the Christian faith, emphasizing that salvation, truth, and eternal life are inextricably linked to Him.
_MEDITATION:_
*As the Way, Truth, and Life, Jesus invites humanity to place their faith in Him, promising that those who do will experience the Father's love, forgiveness, and eternal presence*
