*DAILY DEW 11TH/JUNE/2021* *REDISCOVERING THE MESSAGE* (IV) _Key Bible Text:_ *"For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise."* (2 Corinthians 10:12 (KJV) _Bible Insight:_ In ministry, your emphasis will change if you start taking up projects that are beyond your financial capacity; things that burden and put so much pressure on you. You were steadily doing ministry and raising men till you heard one church pays 1m for venue every Sunday. Boom! You're immediately inspired by their faith not knowing they have steady partners and supporters they've built over the years. You also started with a 300k per Sunday rent even when all the giving that comes to church is not up to 200k per month. But you have faith in the God who did not send you to change venue. That's great. You heard a church has bought screen for the stage, you also quickly rush to price one. And then you compare your almost red account balance to the cost, but you still leaped in fate, sorry in faith. *Sometimes, we think God is as desperate as we are in funding such non essentials.* You were fine until you saw screen in another man's church!!! Now, because you need to buy the screen at all cost, you start preaching more about money, giving, sowing and reaping, special seeds, honour through seeds, etc. Man of God, it is not God that is inspiring all these messages and emphasis o. It is the pressure you've put upon yourself! It seems we've forgotten that God is not trying to fund everything we lust after. He is particularly interested in raising men. You don't have to lose your sleep to fund God's work. The venue is not yet full but you just want a very luxurious place that you can't afford at the moment. They've told you to dream wild and God will fund it. They lied to you. *God wants you free of covetousness.* In ministry, growth happens in every area. Some of the people you are coveting used the venues available to them, or the ones they could afford till there was growth numerically and they needed more space. Quit being carnal in your service. *MEDITATION:* *There are things you will spend money on at a stage in ministry that clearly shows you have your priorities misplaced. I believe God sends resources for the right things. In fact, I believe it strongly. Which is why I believe the man of God should just ensure to stay faithful to the work and be free of covetousness..* *#Adebowale_Ibukun_Tosin* *#Friday_wisdomforliving* *#Becoming_More_Like_Jesus* *#Generational_Impact* *#GuestMessage* *#Hello_June* ❤ *NEWS FLASH:* 🥳🥳 Links To Visit: *Podcast:* anchor.fm/daily-dew-devotional/episodes/TROUBLED-elli7h *FB Pages* www.facebook.com/DavidJoshuaEgbochuo/ www.facebook.com/thedavidgen/ www.facebook.com/THEREVIVALCORPS/ *DDDblog* dailydewdevotion.blogspot.com/2021/06/rediscovering-message-iv.html *Telegram Group:* t.me/joinchat/NzXQlVc9Hx7LfaRSnh9fHg Feel Free to Share with Friends. *DAILY DEW 4TH/JUNE/2021* *Your Body For His Glory* (III) _Key Bible Text:_ *"This is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality; that each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor, not in the passion of lust like the Gentiles who do not know God.”*(1 Thessalonians 4:3-5) _Bible Insight:_ The SECOND godly problem with masturbation is lust. It is nearly impossible to self-stimulate for sexual pleasure without thinking about a sexual picture whether of a person or an object, maybe. This is lust, and lust is clearly immoral (sin). In fact, nearly everyone who self stimulates, got into masturbation this way - by exposing themselves to erotic material. Jesus said looking (or thinking) at a woman lustfully, is adultery (or fornication) in the sight of God. You have not touched the woman, but sexual thoughts have started towards her. God sees it as immorality. Therefore that is what it is. Masturbation frequently goes alongside pornography or sexually stimulating pictures somewhere. Almost, if not everyone who masturbates, has a lust problem. That is a sin against God and against one's own body. The release of sexual tension is not in itself, a sin; but masturbation combined with lust, is always sinful. It is granted, that if lust problems and pornography are taken care of, masturbation becomes a non-issue. Some have asked "what of if i'm thinking about my wife when I do this?"; which has led some to say masturbation is okay when married couples are doing it about, or for each other. Some believe there is no improper sexual act between husband and wife. Well, please consider the point above and the point below. The THIRD godly problem with masturbation is addiction. Masturbation is highly addictive, and so is pornography. Some cannot do anything until they have done some masturbation. Some look for any opportunity to masturbate. Others see a fine lady and cannot rest until they have masturbated. Anything that controls your behaviour and disrupts your life like that is simply wrong: whether it is tobacco, cannabis, or alcohol, or masturbation. It is a weight, and it is a sin of immorality. *MEDITATION:* *Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;* (1 Peter 2:11 (KJV)) *#Ebele_UzoPeters* *#Friday_wisdomforliving* *#Becoming_More_Like_Jesus* *#Guest_Message* *#Hello_June* ❤ *NEWS FLASH:* 🥳🥳 Links To Visit: *Podcast:* anchor.fm/daily-dew-devotional/episodes/TROUBLED-elli7h *FB Pages* www.facebook.com/DavidJoshuaEgbochuo/ www.facebook.com/thedavidgen/ www.facebook.com/THEREVIVALCORPS/ *DDDblog* dailydewdevotion.blogspot.com/2021/06/your-body-for-his-glory-iii.html *Telegram Group:* t.me/joinchat/NzXQlVc9Hx7LfaRSnh9fHg Feel Free to Share with Friends. *DAILY DEW 28TH/MAY/ 2021* *PEOPLE NEED GRACE NOW MORE THAN EVER* _Key Bible Text:_ *"But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.”* (James 4:6 (NIV)) _Bible Insight:_ To make it through crisis seasons or social unrest, you need to treat yourself and other people the way God treats you: with grace, mercy, and forgiveness. Grace means that God always gives you what you need, not what you deserve. If you got what you deserved, you wouldn't even be here. “God gives us even more grace, as the Scripture says, ‘God is against the proud, but he gives grace to the humble’” (James 4:6 NCV). God opposes the prideful and arrogant because they think they can do it all by themselves, apart from God. They don't think they need God or his grace. They approach life—even life in turmoil—with the mindset, “If it's to be, it's up to me.” But when you’re humble and admit that you can’t make it through difficult situations on your own, God opens the floodgates of heaven. He pours out his grace. And he expects those who have been shown amazing grace to then show that grace to others. Everyone has gone through tough times. To maintain your emotional health, you need to cut yourself some slack and do the same for others. People are feeling stressed, particularly the millions who are out of work and concerned about the future—maybe even about how they will make it to the next day. Be kind and gentle. Even the hardest people to love are fighting some kind of battle right now and need your grace. This will often take a lot of humility. When tensions are high, it’s easier to return wrong for wrong, give a sharp answer, withhold the benefit of the doubt, and speak before listening. Your neighbor needs your grace. Your children need your grace. The person you disagree with politically needs your grace. The world is on the defense, and there is nothing that will disarm people more than being given unexpected grace. MEDITATION: God has given you great grace. Go and extend that grace to others so they get a glimpse of what Jesus has done for them. *#Blessing_Nwoke* *#Friday_wisdomforliving* *#Becoming_More_Like_Jesus* *#Wonders_of_Grace* *#Hello_May* ❤ *NEWS FLASH:* 🥳🥳 Links To Visit: *Podcast:* anchor.fm/daily-dew-devotional/episodes/TROUBLED-elli7h *FB Pages* www.facebook.com/DavidJoshuaEgbochuo/ www.facebook.com/thedavidgen/ www.facebook.com/THEREVIVALCORPS/ *DDDblog* dailydewdevotion.blogspot.com/2021/05/people-need-grace-now-more-than-ever.html *Telegram Group:* t.me/joinchat/NzXQlVc9Hx7LfaRSnh9fHg Feel Free to Share with Friends. *DAILY DEW 21ST/MAY/2021* *YOU HAVE TO LOVE YOURSELF* _Key Bible Text:_ *How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered!* (Psalms 139:17 (NLT)) _Bible Insight:_ In some of His most famous words, Jesus said, “ ‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself’ ” (Matthew 22:37–39). This shows us the connection between having a relationship with God and having relationships with people. But let’s look closer at the second greatest commandment. Notice that it says, “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Jesus drew a definite connection between our love for others and our love for ourselves. *Most of us spend so much time hating things about ourselves that we don’t realize we’re crippling our ability to love others.* There’s no way you can figure out how to love somebody else well in a relationship if you have not first figured out how to love yourself. Some of us treat ourselves so ugly. We settle for way less than what we know we deserve. We violate our bodies and our hearts and allow others to do the same. We use our own words to put ourselves down constantly. Well, consider this. If you devalue yourself, then you will inevitably end up treating your neighbor, or even your spouse, the same way. In order to learn to love yourself the way God intended, you have to build a relationship with God, who is love. Remember, your relationship with Him is your ultimate relationship. But then loving yourself means accepting who God created you to be, as hard as that may be for you. It means taking the time to find your fulfillment in Him and realizing that only He can fill the emptiness you feel inside. The way God created you was not a mistake. Remember, He made the human race and He “saw that it was very good!” (Genesis 1:31). He calls you His masterpiece (Ephesians 2:10). He wants you to see yourself the way He sees you—loved and valuable. *DAILY DEW 14TH/MAY/2021* *BEFORE THE PERSON* _Key Bible Text:_ *So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.* (Genesis 1:27 (NIV)) _Bible Insight:_ Before there was ever a person on this earth and in fact before there was even an earth there was already relationship. How’s that? It’s because God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit existed as three persons in one. Now, I can’t totally explain the Trinity. Nobody can. It’s real, but how it works goes beyond our ability to comprehend. The thing is, the Bible makes it clear that the three persons of the Trinity have dwelled together forever. *Meaning relationship was, is, and forever will be.* Cool, huh? Maybe the coolest thing about all this (for us anyway) is that humanity was created out of that everlasting relationship. The Trinity had a conversation and agreed, “Let us make human beings in our own image” (Genesis 1:26). The Trinity didn’t need us. They were already perfect, complete, and fulfilled within Themselves. But out of the overflow of Their love, They decided to create humans, both male and female. The first human, Adam, lived in the Garden of Eden with God as his companion from his first day. In other words, he had a relationship with God before there was even one other human to know. The picture we get in Genesis 2—3 is that God and Adam were good friends. They would hang together in the garden, talk about this and that, and take walks to look at the shiny new plants and animals while enjoying the cool evening breeze together. All by themselves, just the two of them. Here’s what we need to get out of this: No matter what other relationships we have (or don’t have), all of us can have a relationship with God. Through Christ, He invites us into the same kind of connection He has within the Trinity--a loving, giving relationship. So dear friend, make Jesus your first love today!
