*DAILY DEW 8/SEPTEMBER/2023* *Ministry Musings* (II) _Key Bible Text:_ *"I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine."* (2 Timothy 4:1-2 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ No guest minister is responsible for building a local assembly. It is the work of the Pastor in charge of the flock. Special meetings carry much intensity as we sit for hours learning God's word and praying and yes, there can be great experiences powerful enough to position the church for more growth, *however, it's the regular weekly meetings that give depth to the flock.* Hence, the Pastor cannot outsource the growth of the members to guest ministers. He must be well trained and grounded to train men. Annual conventions and camp meetings are great but the church doesn't grow mainly on these. Also, when the people aren't aware of this, they honor guest ministers who show up once a year while despising those who labour over them every week by not showing up well for the meetings. _MEDITATION:_ *Ministry is the Father's business We have been called to mind this It must be done with every sense of urgency, And with much dedication & consistency. And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away."* (1 Peter 5:2-4 (KJV) _Bible Insight:_ When ministers run after money as the main thing in ministry, it's because they forget that money is just an amplifier. If what you're building isn't biblical and solid, money won't make it so. Money doesn't build ministry; it only amplifies what's being built in the ministry. Sound doctrine, prayer, discipleship, fellowship, witnessing, are things that build lasting works. We must always set our minds on these! It's always disastrous when money amplifies what's weak in substance. If the ministry isn't impactful without money, the minister shouldn't be thinking of money. *DAILY DEW 30/MAY/2023* *PURSUE THE WORD* _Key Bible Text:_ *"But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord." (1 Corinthians 1:30-31 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ Pursue the study of God's word like it's your first time. What births a transformation is repetitive learning. Don't ever stop being a student of the gospel of Christ's death and resurrection, by which we have become new creatures in Him! Keep it fresh in your memory. Hang it around your neck. Cherish it. Dwell in it till it propels a lifestyle of gratitude to God and bearing witness to others about the largesse of His grace. Be a student of the word! Dip your heart in God's Heart! You said you will study your bible and pray everyday but you missed a day or two and you gave up. A lot has been said about consistency but do you know that consistency is also about CONTINUING even when you fail sometimes? Learn to CONTINUE from where you STOPPED. Amen _MEDITATION:_ *Wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, redemption, etc are all written in the Word, who is Jesus. You can't get deep into these if you don't pursue the word. *DAILY DEW 7/MAY/2023* *Rediscovering The Fruits Of the Spirit* _Key Bible Text:_ *"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law."* (Galatians 5:22-23 (KJV) _Bible Insight:_ No marriage seminar is greater than the gospel of Christ. In the gospel, you aren't just told how to behave; you are empowered to behave! The gospel builds in us the FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT. No marriage built on these conducts won't survive! People say, 'marry a kind person'. Well, kindness as God has it, is a fruit of the Spirit. Some say, 'marry a good man'. Goodness is part of the fruit of the Spirit! Whoooosh! Some say, 'marry someone who's patient and gentle'. Haha, gentleness and patience are in the package! Some say, 'marry someone who will be faithful'. Ah yes, faithfulness is a fruit of the Spirit too! Some believers still don't get this and that's why they neglect spiritual growth and are running after tips on how to love (no thanks to life coaches on the pulpits). The gospel builds love in our hearts in a way the world can never teach anyone. Believers have God's help already but they are chasing after self-help. My all time recommendation is - spiritual growth. It changes everything! We don't do patching things up It's real transformation! God working in us according to His will. *"You never hold any marriage seminar but our home has more fire just by listening to the truth of God's word, anxiety and fear is forever gone because we are being taught our realities in Christ. I am truly grateful Sir"* That was a testimony a member of church shared with me in response to my celebratory posts on her birthday yesterday. These kind of testimonials aren't for me. They don't validate my stance on how the gospel alone will fix believers, thereby transforming their relationships. _MEDITATION:_ *"I have seen it in the word, and seen it change lives radically over the years. Perhaps, this will help some channel their energy rightly. *DAILY DEW 18/APRIL/2023* *RELATIONSHIP MATTERS* _Key Bible Text:_ *Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another* (Romans 12:10 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ In the beginning, there were two major relationships God gave to man. First is relationship with God, and the second is relationship with fellow humans. In the fall, these were the two major relationships that were affected. Man didn't just rebel against God; he also became evil towards his fellows. In fact, if you read through the bible, the major recipient of human wickedness is man - man's inhumanity to man. Hence, the commandments were summarised into two - LOVE FOR GOD AND LOVE FOR ONE'S NEIGHBOUR. In fact, Christ says, on these two hang the law and the Prophets. (Matthew 22:37-40). In other words, this is the whole essence of learning scriptures! The moment you miss either of these two relationships, you will never experience all round fulfilment. Some focus on God while abandoning interactions with people - a strange phenomenon. The proof of having a vibrant relationship with God is seen in how much you value relationship with His people. _MEDITATION:_ *"A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
