*SOWING AND REAPING* (II)
_Key Bible Text:_
*"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."* (2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
Is there anything you desire that you are not getting? Plant it and you will get it. Sadly, we expect a harvest when we have not planted the seeds. You plant the seeds you want to harvest.
*DON'T ATTEMPT TO WITHDRAW FROM AN ACCOUNT YOU HAVE NOT FUNDED*
Do you need divine approval? Then study, the seed of diligent study of God & His word delivers divine approval. Likewise, the seed of diligent study in your studies, deliver approval of the examining authorities. The student who studies will reap the harvest of passing with flying colours.
When you plant the seed of diligence, you reap the harvest of dominance. *"Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men."* (Proverbs 22:29 (KJV))
When you plant the seed of diligence in your work, you reap the harvest of promotion or reward. So plant the right seeds and you see the right things happen.
_MEDITATION:_
*"Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting."* (Galatians 6:7-8 (KJV))

*ASSIGNMENT*
_Key Bible Text:_
*"Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself."* (Galatians 6:2-3 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
ASSIGNMENT: the “what†we do; a specified task or amount of work assigned or undertaken by God for the benefit of others; the vehicle by which we carry out our purpose and calling.
The assignment we have on our lives is the privilege we have to be an expression of God's goodness for the benefit of others. Our assignment utilizes our purpose (to bear His image and shine) and our calling (the gifts on our life) for the benefit of others.
Our assignments continually change and become bigger as we are faithful in offering our lives to others. Our lives are set up to meet the needs of others and to be their reward.
As we cultivate our relationship with God, we begin to take on the heart of God for others and gain clarity on the assignments He has given us. Each assignment bears the fruit of His nature and releases the reward of His Kingdom to others.
Ask the Lord to give you revelation, vision, and clarity on the specific time, place, and person He is calling you to.
_MEDITATION:_
*"Questions:
1. What is the specific time, place, and person God is calling you to?
2. Is there something that you feel God is calling you to step into, but you’re afraid of what it might entail?"*

*UNDERSTANDING PRINCIPLES OF THE KINGDOM:Seeds of Destiny* (II)
_Key Bible Text:_
*"And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.."* (Genesis 1:11(KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
_Types of seeds_
1. AGRICULTURAL SEEDS.
This is the literal type of seed that everyone is familiar with. It is the seed we use in agriculture to plant trees or other kinds of agricultural plants.
This is used for food generation. There are subsistence farming and commercial farming whereby these seeds are explored and maximized. A nation that does not invest in its agriculture will never become a great nation because no single individual can survive without directly and indirectly consuming agricultural produce.
2. BIOLOGICAL SEEDS.
This is another type of natural seed that we can easily relate with. It refers to the reproductive and creative ability of other living things, apart from agricultural kinds, to reproduce its kind. We see this both in animals and in humans.
Back in those days, this seed was referred to as seed of copulation as found in Leviticus 15:16: *"And if any man's seed of copulation go out from him, then he shall wash all his flesh in water, and be unclean until the even."*
Again, this seed has its guiding rules and principles in the Kingdom. It is not to be "used" except within the context of marriage as stated in Hebrews 13:4 (KJV) that *"Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge."*
Hence this seed must never be planted outside the garden of marriage and even in marriage, common sense dictates that it should be planted with wisdom. Enough said.
_MEDITATION:_
*“We shall explore other kinds of seeds that are not too obvious as seeds but are actually seeds in principle. What examples of such seed comes to mind?"*

*DAILY DEW 13/JUNE/2022*
*NO DRIFTING*
_Key Bible Text:_
*It's crucial that we keep a firm grip on what we've heard so that we don't drift off. If the old message delivered by the angels was valid and nobody got away with anything, do you think we can risk neglecting this latest message, this magnificent salvation? First of all, it was delivered in person by the Master, then accurately passed on to us by those who heard it from him. All the while God was validating it with gifts through the Holy Spirit, all sorts of signs and miracles, as he saw fit.* (Hebrews 2:1-4 (The Message))
_Bible Insight:_
AT the end of one school semester, my wife and I picked up our daughter from her school 100 kilometers (60 miles) away. On our way back home we detoured to a nearby beach resort for snacks. While enjoying our time there, we watched the boats at the seashore. Usually, they are anchored to prevent them from drifting away, but I noticed one boat drifting unhindered, among the others-- slowly and steadily making its way out to sea.
As we drove home, I reflected on the timely caution given to believers in the book of Hebrews: "We must pay the most careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away." (Hebrews 2:1) We have good reason to stay close. The author of Hebrews says that while the Mosaic law was reliable and needed to be obeyed, the message of the Son of God is far superior. Our salvation is "so great" in Jesus that He shouldn't be ignored. (Hebrews 2:3))
Drifting in our relationship with God is hardly noticeable at first; it happens gradually. *_However, spending time talking, with Him in prayer and reading His word, confessing our wrongs to Him and interacting with other followers of Jesus can help us stay anchored in Him._* As we connect with the Lord regularly, He will be faithful to sustain us, and we can avoid drifting away.
_MEDITATION:_
*“WHAT do you know about Jesus that keeps you wanting to be near Him?"*
To avoid drifting away from God, stay anchored to the Rock.

*PEOPLE & UNITY* (III)
_Key Bible Text:_
*“Therefore let anyone who thinks he stands [who feels sure that he has a steadfast mind and is standing firm], take heed lest he fall [into sin]."* (1 Corinthians 10:12 (The Message))
_Bible Insight:_
When in 1650 the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland opposed
Oliver Cromwell and declared Charles II their king, Cromwell wrote them a
letter of earnest appeal in which he said, among other things, “I beseech
you, in the bowels of Christ, think it possible you may be mistaken.â€
Appeal must precede attack if we are to act like Christians. The army of
Israel was commanded to offer peace to a city before declaring war against
it (Deut. 20:10–20), and that’s a good example for us to follow. Jesus
instructed us to settle differences with people quickly and privately and to
take the initiative in seeking peace (Matt. 5:21–26; 18:15–35).
The big problem, of course, is that we all think we have the right answer,
and we’re prepared to defend our “convictions.†And when you add the
implied threats that often accompany our “discussions†(“If you don’t do
this, our family will leave the church, and a lot of people will follow us!â€),
you have the potential for a real explosion. When that happens, it’s time to
sit down together and read aloud in unison Philippians 2:1–18. The next
step is to suggest a prayer meeting to ask God to help everybody obey what
was just read.
I have in my study a small sign a friend made for me when he heard me
quote in a sermon a favorite statement from Thomas Merton. Here’s the
statement:
*_To consider persons and events and situations only in the light of their effect upon myself is to
live on the doorstep of hell._*
If Merton is right, a lot of Christians are sitting on a hot seat because they
expect everybody to agree with them and everything to go their way. Like
Lucifer, they insist on being “like the Most High†(Isa. 14:14) and playing
God in everybody’s life. The name of the malady is pride, and it’s a difficult disease to cure.
_MEDITATION:_
*“New Testament scholar William Barclay wrote, “Pride is the ground in
which all the other sins grow, and the parent from which all the other sins
come.†Among the sins that God hates most, pride heads the list (Prov.
6:16–17)."*
