*DAILY DEW 30/OCTOBER/2022* *GRACE DIMENSIONS* _Key Bible Text:_ *"Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ"* (1 Corinthians 1:3-4 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ Grace is God's goodwill (friendly, helpful, or cooperative feelings or attitude) towards us, that enables us enjoy God's goodness for us and in us. Grace is that inbuilt goodness that comes with our acceptance of the gift of Christ as our Lord and Saviour. Grace opens us to God's unlimited riches of His glory. Grace is an access giver, life beautifier, life lifter, and godly attitude booster. Grace comes and is present in the believer at the point of surrendering to or accepting/receiving Christ. Grace is present in the believer's life and grace will always be needed in the believer's life. Grace comes in increasing measures and is never too much. Grace is like a fuel that delivers to the believer the power to live out the God kind of Life. Grace is the one part of the essence of Christ! The other part is Truth! (John 1:14) Grace is needed for truth to be assessed, appropriated and maximized. Truth is needed for the glory of grace to be made manifest, and understood. For instance, I am teaching the truth of "Grace" by the grace of God! In 1 Corinthians 1:3, Paul declares *"Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ"* That's a greeting-prayer! It is never too much to ask for Grace. Then 1 Corinthians 1:4 he also asserts *"I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ"* What a twist! The explanation is that the believer already had grace: we received it upon receiving and acknowledging the truth of the Gospel! In other words, the new birth comes with an inbuilt measure of grace. Just like most gadgets, like phones, come with a bit of power already in it, but with a strong recommendation to charge fully before being used. Hence, though we already get grace at the point of our becoming born again, at the same time, we need Grace in ever increasing measures to live out the fullness of the implications of the truth of the Gospel! *DAILY DEW 29TH/NOVEMBER/2021* *A DIFFERENCE LIKE A WIDE OCEAN* _Key Bible Text:_ *Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?* (2 Corinthians 6:14 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ No matter how funky you are, if Christ has truly begun to live in your heart; even with your jeans and neck chains, you can never be mistaken for the world. As you sit in the party and roll with the guys ...inside of you, you will feel the difference between yourself and clubbers and party goers...a difference like a wide ocean. You will also feel the acute painful desire to share what you have become, to baptise them in that ocean. It is called compassion. You can wear all the shredded jeans and even put a stud on one ear, but you will know that you can never be like them anymore. You will feel that something stands between them and you. It's called the Cross. The precious blood of Jesus. You will feel like a stranger in those clothes, because your body is now a temple made for white robes. Something will always be bubbling on the inside that all the loud and tapping music and activity cannot match. Or Someone. Bubbling up to eternal life. Constraining love. Restraining grace. Imperturbable peace. Incontrovertible wisdom. *DAILY DEW 28TH/NOVEMBER/2021* *DON'T TAKE YOUR EYES OFF* _Key Bible Text:_ *Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.* (Hebrews 12:2 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ Listen: don't take your eyes off Jesus. In a bid to look very spiritual, some believers paint an unbiblical view of the Christian experience. For instance, I could say, 'Nobody can harass me. Those who have tried it fainted instantly. Some of them could not move at all. I am a territorial general in the army of God.' That would sound very impressive you know? Till you read the Bible and see that they slapped Jesus. Till you hear the same Jesus say that even His Apostles would be beaten and thrown in jail. Paul even had perils of robbers. In fact, we are told that we could be wronged and spitefully treated. The picture we have in the Bible isn't that of a 'super human' posture that shields you from every unpleasant experience. It's this simple reality: "We have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us." (2 Corinthians 4:7). That is, God using men of like PASSIONS AND TRIALS to do extraordinary things. That Paul after being stoned and beaten, could walk into another city and minister healing to the sick, with many other mighty miracles. *DAILY DEW 27TH/NOVEMBER/2021* *EMBRACE "YOU"* _Key Bible Text:_ *I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.* (Psalms 139:14 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ If the Lord wanted you to be like Mr X, He would have made another Mr X. But He made YOU, and installed into you, a YOUniqueness with which to bless the world, and to show forth His glory. You are a ‘dimension’ of God. You are a ‘move’ of God. You are a ‘flavor’ of God. You are a ‘method’ of God. Be secure in your calling. Be anchored in your ordination. There are only three things you really need be concerned about: - doing the work God told you to do; - how God told you to do it; - when God told you to do it. One day, you will stand before the Monarch of Zion, and you will not be commended for doing it how everyone else did it. It will be for doing it the way He TOLD YOU to do it. Remove pressure, competition, comparison and envy from your life. They are too heavy for you to carry on this pilgrimage. They will slow you down radically. Look up; not around. *DAILY DEW 26TH/NOVEMBER/2021* *THE TRAGEDY OF THE MAJORITY* (II) _Key Bible Text:_ *Go in through the narrow gate. The gate to destruction is wide, and the road that leads there is easy to follow. A lot of people go through that gate. But the gate to life is very narrow. The road that leads there is so hard to follow that only a few people find it.* (Matthew 7:13-14 (GNB)) _Bible Insight:_ When I first read the classic poem _"The Road Not Taken"_ By Robert Frost, I think I sort of fell in love with it. You will love it if you are a poem lover. 😀 I think it caught my interest, among other reasons, because it ended with how the choice of following the path less traveled by (I.e. the unpopular path), *"made all the difference."* Beloved, everyone who will make a difference for God, must be a person who doesn't get carried away by what the world wants & thinks. *A lot of people do not take their walk with God seriously simply because a lot of people do not take God seriously* A lot of people are scared of standing out. If you are scared of standing out, looking weird, talking differently, and doing things differently, you will never go very far with God. Abraham proved this statement right. He never cared what others thought when he wanted to leave his father's house to embark on a Journey to where he doesn't even know! He never hesitated to take Isaac his only son to sacrifice for God. Today, even after Christ, He still stands as a Father of Faith! What are you scared of? Why are you so concerned about what others think about how you love or worship or follow God! God is never found by the crowd and band wagon effect followers. God is almost always going against the crowd and popular demand. Following hard after God is actually going against the tide. You need to develop a mind-of-your-own approach if you must find God and do His bidden.
