*BECOMING A PERSON OF POSITIVE IMPACT*
_Key Bible Text:_
*"And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat."* (Genesis 3:6 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
YOU have been given a mandate in Christ Jesus. That mandate has generational dimensions. A generation refers to *"all of the people born and living at about the same time, regarded collectively."* This means that the mandate God has given every follower of Christ, when truly discovered and explored can affect everyone within the same generation, either directly or indirectly. *#Selah*
Even when outside Christ, from creation God designed man with reproductive capacities as humans. Thus, man's sexual activity can affect his generation, because the child of the man can grow to become a person of generational impact like the late queen of the United Kingdom!
The decisions you make determines the course and outcome of your life. Eve ate the fruit and gave to Adam. And the Lord said, *"what is this that thou has done? Do you realize the consequences of what you just did!?"*
Indeed, Eve & Adam failed to realize that It was not just about them. Their generations & even countless generations after theirs are all affected.
1. We must never fail to understand that every instruction from Gen 1 to Revelation has generational & trans-generational implications.
2. In the context of destiny, little things matter. In the context of destiny, nothing is to be taken for granted.
_MEDITATION:_
*"And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons. And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden. And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?"* (Genesis 3:7-9 (KJV))

*DAILY DEW 27TH/JANUARY/2022*
*Faith Series: The Long Sightedness of Faith*
_Key Bible Text:_
*"By Faith he lived as a foreigner in the country that God had promised him. He lived in tents, as did Isaac and Jacob, who received the same promise from God. For Abraham was waiting for the city which God has designed and built, the city with permanent foundations.â€* (Hebrews 11:9-10 (GNB))
_Bible Insight:_
Faith is more longsighted than shortsighted. Faith does not act based on what is present alone. Faith acts based on what is to come as well.
When Abraham was told of the promised land, he believed God and even after he entered into it, he did not "settle". He continued to live as though he was still searching for the promised land. Why was that? We would not have been certain but for Hebrews 11:10.
The Bible says that beyond God's promise to Abraham, Abraham desired an everlasting inheritance, a place whose builder and maker is not from this world.
We can't miss the message. Let's consider the following: *"It was in Faith that all these persons died. They did not receive the things God had promised, but _from a long way off they saw them_ and welcomed them, and admitted openly that they were foreigners and refugees on earth. Those who say such things make it clear that they are looking for a country of their own."*
*"They did not keep thinking about the country they had left; if they had, they would have had the chance to return. Instead, it was a better country they longed for, the heavenly country. And so God is not ashamed for them to call him their God, because He has prepared a city for them."* (Hebrews 11: 13-16 (GNB))
What country do you want to obtain its permanent residence? What citizenship are you conscious of while here on earth? Where are you looking forward to ultimately? While you are at it, how do you show through your life and conduct that you don't belong here? #Selah
_MEDITATION:_
*"Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone."* (Ephesians 2:19-20 (KJV) )

*CHOOSE YOUR PAIN*
_Key Bible Text:_
*Keep your eyes on [Jesus], who both began and finished this race we're in. Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed--that exhilarating finish in and with God--he could put up with anything along the way: cross, shame, whatever. And now he's [there], in the place of honor, right alongside God.*
(Hebrews 12:2 (AMP))
_Bible Insight:_
I must thank my Pastor, K. C. Onyegbuna whose words kept repeating in my heart as I thought about this topic-- choose your pain!
Face this fact of life, you can't run away from pain in life completely. The rich, the poor, the educated, the illiterate, the middle class, the classless class, etc are all subject to pass through pain at certain points in life. Life is never painless.
In fact, pains are the building blocks of life. Yes.
Job 14:1 (KJV) says, *"Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble."* Indeed, trouble and pain are the twins of life. As much as we dislike them, they hold the key to greatness in life. #Selah
In as much as pain is inseparable from life, we can choose which or what kind of pain we must endure. God has given us the power of choice. A man who does not face the pain of discipline, hard work and some measure of stress, will definitely face the pain of regret and poverty.
Hence we must choose to go through pain deliberately and voluntarily, so that we don't go through pain forcefully. Jesus did exactly that. He chose to suffer the cross, shame and pain because he was poised for the crown of glory ahead of him.
If Jesus did not escape pain, no one can. The best we can do like Jesus, is to choose what kind of pain we must endure.
_MEDITATION:_
*In order to have great happiness you have to have great pain and unhappiness - otherwise how would you know when you're happy?* -

*DAILY DEW 26TH/NOVEMBER/2021*
*THE TRAGEDY OF THE MAJORITY* (II)
_Key Bible Text:_
*Go in through the narrow gate. The gate to destruction is wide, and the road that leads there is easy to follow. A lot of people go through that gate. But the gate to life is very narrow. The road that leads there is so hard to follow that only a few people find it.*
(Matthew 7:13-14 (GNB))
_Bible Insight:_
When I first read the classic poem _"The Road Not Taken"_ By Robert Frost, I think I sort of fell in love with it. You will love it if you are a poem lover. 😀 I think it caught my interest, among other reasons, because it ended with how the choice of following the path less traveled by (I.e. the unpopular path), *"made all the difference."*
Beloved, everyone who will make a difference for God, must be a person who doesn't get carried away by what the world wants & thinks. *A lot of people do not take their walk with God seriously simply because a lot of people do not take God seriously*
A lot of people are scared of standing out. If you are scared of standing out, looking weird, talking differently, and doing things differently, you will never go very far with God. Abraham proved this statement right. He never cared what others thought when he wanted to leave his father's house to embark on a Journey to where he doesn't even know! He never hesitated to take Isaac his only son to sacrifice for God. Today, even after Christ, He still stands as a Father of Faith!
What are you scared of? Why are you so concerned about what others think about how you love or worship or follow God! God is never found by the crowd and band wagon effect followers. God is almost always going against the crowd and popular demand. Following hard after God is actually going against the tide.
You need to develop a mind-of-your-own approach if you must find God and do His bidden. Heaven is not going to be achieved by the validation seeking, people pleasing, attention seeking, never offending anybody type of believers.
_MEDITATION:_
*I will rise now, and go about the city in the streets, and in the broad ways I will seek him whom my soul loveth: I sought him, but I found him not.* (Song of Solomon 3:2 (KJV))
PS: If you must find God, the lover of your soul, don't seek him in the city streets and in the broad ways of life. #Selah
*And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.* (Luke 16:15 (KJV))

*DAILY DEW 7TH/NOVEMBER/2021*
*KEEPING THE BODY BALANCED* (The End)
_Key Bible Text:_
*And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.* (1 John 4:16-17 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
The fear of God ultimately leads to the love of God.
The love of God comes on the heels of the fear of God because that respect and devotion to His word is what God regards as love. A man's perspective of love is respect. For God, his perspective of love is obedience to His word. To love God, is to obey His commands. This is the love that 1John 4:16 speaks of. -- He that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God!
It is important to understand 1 John 4 verse 17 flowing from verse 16. Verse 17 speaks of a destination, a place we must all aspire to get to. It speaks to the ultimate goal of loving God-- to have boldness in the face of judgment because we have come to the fullness of the measure of the stature of Christ. See, loving God, obeying His word fills us with boldness. That's why the righteous are as bold as lion. Amen.
You can't be saying you are like Jesus in this world, while you are grossly underperforming or disobeying the word of God. This is why we have boldness-- because we are obedient to His Word. And we are obedient because we are in love with Jesus. And we love Jesus, because Jesus loved us first.
What does the Bible teach about loving God? (See John 14:15. Loving God is not merely making faith declarations or singing "I love you Lord" or "Jesus, lover of my soul". Loving God is in obedience to His Word)
This then brings us to verse 18 flowing directly from verse 17. The one who has actually matured in loving God, which means to be as Jesus is, to walk in obedience to His word, has nothing to fear. Please ponder these words. Jesus said the prince of this world is coming and He has nothing against Him. That's fearlessness as a result of perfect obedience. Perfect love here stands for perfect obedience. Hence, verse 20 & 21 explains that if we can't show love to men, we are jokers to think that we love God. #Selah
_MEDITATION:_
*Before you scream perfect love casts out fear, do you live in obedience to His Word? Where is your love without your life of obedience? The one who knows he is still struggling with obedience must reverently ask God for help. Even when we rest on the finished works of Christ, we must understand that we have nothing to boast except for God's mercy*
