*DAILY DEW 7/JULY/2022* *To Be Kind is the goal-- Not Nice* (II) _Key Bible Text:_ *Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil* (1 Corinthians 13:4-5 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ Being KIND can hurt especially when you know that what you are doing is in the best interest of the other party but they are not able to see it Niceness says “This fire will burn you if you touch it but I don’t want you to feel bad that I am not letting you touch it and so, I’ll let you be.” Kindness says “Because I care for you, I will stop you from walking into this fire by all means, even though you don’t see it.” On a personal level, more people will like you for being nice because you are easy to WALK OVER. On the other hand, many people will dislike you for being kind because your genuine concern for them sometimes translates to strict rules to keep them from getting in harm’s way. This is the “not-so-pleasant” kind of kindness. *DAILY DEW 30/JUNE/2022* *UNDERSTANDING PRINCIPLES OF THE KINGDOM:Seeds of Destiny* (IX) _Key Bible Text:_ *"And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan. And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger. And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole."* (Luke 17:15-19 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ _Types of seeds_ (Cont'd) 9. PRAISE IS A SEED Be intentional about praising God. To praise God is in essence the reason God created us in the first place. God loves to be praised and He deserves the praise of his creation. *"_Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created._"* (Revelation 4:11 (KJV)) If you don't give God praise, you have missed one of the major reasons for your being created. When you fulfill the praise purpose of your life, you give God pleasure. That's God having a sense of fulfilment for creating you. One of the key ways to give God praise is to give God thanks! _Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God._ (2 Corinthians 9:11 (KJV)) God is worthy of our thanksgivings. And it is a seed we must daily sow. When we do, we validate the essence of our creation. This in turn causes God to bless us the more. This blessing is all encompassing. It is not limited to material blessings. Another way we praise God is by living a life pleasing to him. This is another key way God derives pleasure for having Created us. When we do render praises and thanksgivings to God, without a correlating lifestyle worthy of His name, we mock God. How are you investing your praises? _MEDITATION:_ *"And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God, Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. *DAILY DEW 23/JUNE/2022* *UNDERSTANDING PRINCIPLES OF THE KINGDOM:Seeds of Destiny* (V) _Key Bible Text:_ *"For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. As one who reckons, he says to you, eat and drink, yet his heart is not with you [but is grudging the cost]."* (Proverbs 23:7 (Amplified Bible)) _Bible Insight:_ Our focus remains on non-obvious seeds that are critical in destiny determination _Types of seeds_ (Cont'd) 5. "MY THOUGHTS ARE SEEDS" Thoughts are an intricate part of the mind. Your mind matters because it's the factory of your thoughts. Mindset is very important because positive thoughts come from a positive mindset. *The thoughts you harbor makes the man you become and the world you create around you!* *_Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:_* (Philippians 2:5 (KJV)) The question is, what kind of mind was in Christ? Philippians 2:6-8 paints a very clear picture of Humility, service and love. That's the mindset of Christ in summary. Only a mind filled with humility, service and love can produce the kind of thoughts that is becoming of a Christlike believer. Take another look at the kind of mindset that's recommended for you and I: *"Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty (snobbish, high-minded, exclusive), but readily adjust yourself to [people, things] and give yourselves to humble tasks. Never overestimate yourself or be wise in your own conceits."* (Romans 12:16 (Amplified Bible)) Once the Christlike mindset is in place, your thoughts (and even words) will be humble, loving, patient, non-self glorifying, easy to deal with, peaceable, controlled, etc. With such thoughts (and words), you won't be far from being more like Christ. Not only that, your thoughts will give birth to wholesome words, that heal, encourage, rebuke in love, and inspires. Your thought is a seed, your mind is the preservative and storage system. Your thoughts as seeds when firmly planted can grow your life and your world around you. What kind of thoughts are you harbouring? Elijah thought he was the only one standing for God, but he was wrong. God corrected him. The woman with the issue of blood, thought touching the helm of Jesus will save her, she was right. Be careful what you think! *Don't think less of yourself but think of yourself less.* _To think less of yourself is to lower your opinion of yourself. *DAILY DEW 16/JUNE/2022* *You’ll Never Wish You Did Less* (III) _Key Bible Text:_ *And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.* (Matthew 9:35-36 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ _Follow the Sent Savior_ Jesus was not unaware. He was not unmoved. And he was certainly not unsent. He died to open eyes, jumpstart hearts, and make ready feet for the world. Jesus knew there were many unknown peoples who were unknowledgeable of a God worth knowing. He knew two things: humanity was harassed spiritually, emotionally, and physically and helpless to do anything about it. But he knew something they did not. He was a saving shepherd who would lay down his life for them (John 10:10–11). He was unknown to them, but they were known by him. Scour sites like Joshua Project, tear into books like Operation World, and watch Prayercast videos. You don’t have to stay uninformed. If you knew that 141,000 new unbelievers enter the world’s global cities every day but that 80% of them will never meet a Christian, or that for every unreached people group there are 78,000 evangelical believers that will hardly ever reach or even notice them, how would it affect you? *DAILY DEW 9/JUNE/2022* *THE AWAKENING OF THE WATCHERS* (II) _Key Bible Text:_ *“For thus hath the Lord said unto me, Go, set a watchman, let him declare what he seeth!"* (Isaiah 21:6 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ Again it will help us to see the context of our key Bible text: *"Prepare the table, WATCH IN THE WATCHTOWER, eat, drink: arise, ye princes, and anoint the shield. For thus hath the Lord said unto me, Go, SET A WATCHMAN, let him DECLARE WHAT HE SEETH. And he saw a chariot with a couple of horsemen, a chariot of asses, and a chariot of camels; and he hearkened diligently with much heed: And HE CRIED, A lion: My lord, I stand continually upon the watchtower in the DAYTIME, and I am set in my ward whole NIGHTS:"* (Isaiah 21:5-8 (KJV)) The job of the watchman is not a child's play. However, no greatness is guaranteed where there are no watching by the watchmen who are dutifully staying vigilant day and night! The first job of the watchman is watching! Watching against external aggression and internal disturbance to the peace and progress of the realm. The second job of the watchman is to declare, call out, warn, inform and alert the realm. The watchman who will succeed at His assignment must hate laziness and lack of focus. He must be bold and fearless too, being able to be on the look out for all manner of activities and also warn against such things that will pose a danger to the realm. The reality of the born of God, the new creation man is one of watchfulness that is unmistakably akin of the job or calling of the watchman.
