*DAILY DEW 7/JULY/2022* *To Be Kind is the goal-- Not Nice* (II) _Key Bible Text:_ *Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil* (1 Corinthians 13:4-5 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ Being KIND can hurt especially when you know that what you are doing is in the best interest of the other party but they are not able to see it Niceness says “This fire will burn you if you touch it but I don’t want you to feel bad that I am not letting you touch it and so, I’ll let you be.” Kindness says “Because I care for you, I will stop you from walking into this fire by all means, even though you don’t see it.” On a personal level, more people will like you for being nice because you are easy to WALK OVER. On the other hand, many people will dislike you for being kind because your genuine concern for them sometimes translates to strict rules to keep them from getting in harm’s way. This is the “not-so-pleasant” kind of kindness.
