*DAILY DEW 9/JUNE/2022* *THE AWAKENING OF THE WATCHERS* (II) _Key Bible Text:_ *“For thus hath the Lord said unto me, Go, set a watchman, let him declare what he seeth!"* (Isaiah 21:6 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ Again it will help us to see the context of our key Bible text: *"Prepare the table, WATCH IN THE WATCHTOWER, eat, drink: arise, ye princes, and anoint the shield. For thus hath the Lord said unto me, Go, SET A WATCHMAN, let him DECLARE WHAT HE SEETH. And he saw a chariot with a couple of horsemen, a chariot of asses, and a chariot of camels; and he hearkened diligently with much heed: And HE CRIED, A lion: My lord, I stand continually upon the watchtower in the DAYTIME, and I am set in my ward whole NIGHTS:"* (Isaiah 21:5-8 (KJV)) The job of the watchman is not a child's play. However, no greatness is guaranteed where there are no watching by the watchmen who are dutifully staying vigilant day and night! The first job of the watchman is watching! Watching against external aggression and internal disturbance to the peace and progress of the realm. The second job of the watchman is to declare, call out, warn, inform and alert the realm. The watchman who will succeed at His assignment must hate laziness and lack of focus. He must be bold and fearless too, being able to be on the look out for all manner of activities and also warn against such things that will pose a danger to the realm. The reality of the born of God, the new creation man is one of watchfulness that is unmistakably akin of the job or calling of the watchman.
