*DAILY DEW 29TH/JANUARY/2022* *ForGIVE & Don't Hold Back* _Key Bible Text:_ *"Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.”* (Ephesians 4:31-32 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ The strongest changes and best influences you will experience are the ones that start with you. For instance, the grudge you feel comes from other people, but forgiveness comes from you. This is why you HOLD grudges and KEEP malice, but you GIVE forgiveness. Moreover, a grudge is an invoice of a debt. You want to PAY SOMEONE BACK for something they did But forgiving them is like holding the receipt of a gift. You have given someone what they don't deserve, at a cost to you. So malice makes you a DEBTOR, but forgiveness makes you a CREDITOR. Forgiveness is richer than malice. *DAILY DEW 27TH/JANUARY/2022* *Faith Series: The Long Sightedness of Faith* _Key Bible Text:_ *"By Faith he lived as a foreigner in the country that God had promised him. He lived in tents, as did Isaac and Jacob, who received the same promise from God. For Abraham was waiting for the city which God has designed and built, the city with permanent foundations.”* (Hebrews 11:9-10 (GNB)) _Bible Insight:_ Faith is more longsighted than shortsighted. Faith does not act based on what is present alone. Faith acts based on what is to come as well. When Abraham was told of the promised land, he believed God and even after he entered into it, he did not "settle". He continued to live as though he was still searching for the promised land. Why was that? We would not have been certain but for Hebrews 11:10. The Bible says that beyond God's promise to Abraham, Abraham desired an everlasting inheritance, a place whose builder and maker is not from this world. We can't miss the message. Let's consider the following: *"It was in Faith that all these persons died. They did not receive the things God had promised, but _from a long way off they saw them_ and welcomed them, and admitted openly that they were foreigners and refugees on earth. Those who say such things make it clear that they are looking for a country of their own."* *"They did not keep thinking about the country they had left; if they had, they would have had the chance to return. *DAILY DEW 22ND/JANUARY/2022* **NARROW IS THE WAY (II)* _Key Bible Text:_ *"You can enter God's Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose the easy way.”* (Matthew 7:13 (NLT)) _Bible Insight:_ The alternative to the Broad Road, is the Narrow way. It is available for anyone who want to walk in them. It has prerequisites and rules and regulations to walk in them successfully. It is the matter of the choice an individual makes I will like to emphasize on the Narrow Road/Way. According to our key text, both way leads to some where. But they are just like words and opposite: one leads to life (Narrow Way) while the other leads to death (Broad Way). The one that leads to life has its do's and dont's while the one that leads to death has no rules accept whatever works or feels good. It's a matter of choice. There is a great instruction and command in our key text. It says *"Enter by the narrow gate*". *DAILY DEW 16TH/JANUARY/2022* *We Don't Draw Back* _Key Bible Text:_ *"Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.”* (Hebrews 10:38-39 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ No doubt there are those who draw back unto perdition. But what does "perdition" even mean? *_"PERDITION - per-dish'-un (apoleia, "ruin" or "loss," physical or eternal): The word "perdition" occurs in the English Bible 8 times (Jn 17:12; Phil 1:28; 2 Thess 2:3; 1 Tim 6:9; Heb 10:39; 2 Pet 3:7; Rev 17:11,18). In each of these cases it denotes the final state of ruin and punishment which forms the opposite to salvation."_* (Source: Net Bible) So now we know what we are dealing with. Perdition simply means lack of salvation. In other words, eternal destruction or damnation. The goodnews is, we are not of them that draw back to perdition. We are always moving forward towards salvation. We move with God. We move towards the salvation of our souls and the souls of those within our scope of influence. Beloved, this year, make up your mind to move closer towards your final glorious destiny in Christ Jesus- eternal salvation. Do not delay your progressive move towards growth, spiritual discipline, and search for more of Christ in your life. We don't draw back! We move forward to the upward call of God!
