*DAILY DEW 2ND/MARCH/2022* *MARCHING TOWARDS MATURITY* (II) _Key Bible Text:_ *"God wants us to grow up, to know the whole truth and tell it in love--like Christ in everything. We take our lead from Christ, who is the source of everything we do."* (Ephesians 4:15 (Message)) _Bible Insight:_ In every field, only TRAINED MEN are appointed to TRAIN OTHERS. It is not different for the church! Do you understand the scriptures? Can you pray? Can you evangelize? Do you operate in the gifts of the Spirit? Do you consistently walk in the fruit of the Spirit? If not, reject that Pastoral form they've been hanging on your neck. Don't experiment with people's lives! A novice cannot produce skilled men! If you're a Pastor or church elder or church worker or fellowship executive and you're struggling with prayer and the study of the word, GET HELP ON TIME! You cannot give what you don't have! You will be busy thinking of how to make church lively because you're also lazy in spiritual things. GET HELP ON TIME! A Pastor, church worker, church elder or fellowship executive is a trainer. You have to stretch people beyond their comfort zones. See how Jesus trained His disciples? There's no growth without stretching people beyond the limits they've set for themselves. E.g. 'I can't pray beyond 20mins'. When you meet a Pastor who's worth his salt, he'll make you pray 1hr, 2hrs or more and you'll become better with time. I've seen people who were very lazy in prayers become addicted to it with the right training! Pampering is not one of the tools for discipleship - it has never worked! _MEDITATION:_ *"The local church is not a hiding place for unserious believers. The way it changes lives is indescribable. No case is hopeless! Satan knows the power of the WORD hence he's corrupted it for many with human traditions and enticing words of human wisdom. But the truth will prevail! Many believers don't have faith in the power of God's word. They will pay huge sums for anger management classes because they don't believe the word can destroy every work of the flesh. So, when some of us say we don't need such classes they think it's because we've never had such issues. No, we've been there but the word worked! I'm talking about real bible study that births a vibrant prayer culture, not some human philosophy wrapped in bible verses. The only thing that subdues the works of the flesh is the Spirit! People come into church with different kinds of weaknesses. If our meetings aren't filled with spiritual activities able to deal with these issues, the works of the flesh will thrive in our midst! In other words, if we are not praying, studying, and doing ministry together as we should, people will be involved with other things. That is the beginning of scandals. No congregation will rise above the quality of spiritual oversight and training they receive. _MEDITATION:_ *"If we preach based on the trends of today, we cannot impact the next generation with the same messages since trends will always come and go. But everyone who denies me here on earth, I will also deny before my Father in heaven."* (Matthew 10:32-33) _Bible Insight:_ Many people still see church as a mere religious place for religious activities; rather than Heaven's embassies, God's weapons, kingdom businesses. That's why social media is filled with young people celebrating new jobs and promotions and adverts of businesses, but many many young people are quiet about where they worship and what they do for the kingdom. You'll see people canvassing for politicians and swearing by them; calling them messiahs and people of integrity who will transform the nation; but when it comes to their pastors to whom they have run to several times for help and prayer, with results; they are quiet. Ah. We know you have been a member of APC since 1844, or you are a certified data analyst or senior consultant or double banana (lol) in Google, but can we begin to highlight with humility and with joy before we get to Heaven, the fact that you have been standing in the house of God as an usher for 18 years. That's awesome! _'Ah, if I start we will not leave here. It was in this church I started my baking business and we now have like 20 branches across the state'._ Okay...interesting. _'I found my husband here too in one of our marriage seminars. And we have been blessed with three children. I know I still have a long way to go in growing my business and family o, but I'm grateful for where we are at the moment.'_ Fantastic. *How many souls have you preached to about Christ this year?* _'To be honest, I can't remember when last I preached, my brother'_ Hmmm...It seems you are more focused on using Jesus to build your own empire rather than been used of Him to build His Kingdom. _'It's not like that o! It's just that I'm not in the evangelism department in my church.'_ Really??? Evangelism department? What does that mean? I thought Jesus sent us all to preach Him? _'Well, in my church there's a department for that. Not everyone can preach. Some of us are good with helping with decorations in church.'_ Wow. I can bet that you aren't that committed to bible study and intercessory prayers. It is those who have their minds on preaching the gospel that take such seriously. If all the transformation that has happened to you in church is all about this life, material things, possessions, and nothing about spiritual growth and serving Christ, you haven't started your journey to real transformation by the word of God.
