In a village (formerly) called Ileesu (meaning, house of Satan) but now called "IleJesu" by our missionaries, the so called assistant pastor and his wife in one of the church in the village are both chief priest of the local village shrine and head of the witches respectively. The missionaries engaged the said pastor in an interview in the course of which he flared up and retorted, "Is it everybody that will receive Jesus?" 🔥 PRAY THAT THE LORD WILL ARREST THEM OPENLY AND REMOVE THEM FROM THE LEADERSHIP OF THE CHURCH ✍️ 2. In the same IleJesu village, our missionaries discovered that certain church structures within the village are now WITHOUT regular church activities making it a shadow of it old self with the people's zeal quenched and the church leaders almost exhausted or left uninspired. 🔥 PRAY THAT THE LORD, THE HEAD OF THE CHURCH, WILL REVIVE HIS CHURCH! ✍️ 3. In Imaala village, our missionaries has a report as follows: *"In our prayer-evangelism today, we met a mad man with a big wound on his leg. We were led to talk to him. As we talked with him initially he wasn't talking any sense. But we began to pray. At a point he began to confess that there are princes of many demons living in him. *DAILY DEW 25TH/DECEMBER/2021* *BORN FOR A MISSION* _Key Bible Text:_ *"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."* (Isaiah 9:6 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ The saviour's birth was foretold long before his story was told. He was definitely expected because his birth was expedient and a necessity for the divine purpose of God. This purpose was and is only for the good of mankind. His birth was to be the signal for the divine government of God like never before. For the government will be upon His shoulders. He was born for this mission- to establish the government of God. All who know this, must realize that to mark or celebrate His birth should be an occasion to ensure the increase of His government because that's His primary purpose. And this sort of celebration should be our daily purpose. *DAILY DEW 24TH/DECEMBER/2021* *TRUSTING AGAINST ALL ODDS* _Key Bible Text:_ *"Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him."* (Job 13:15 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ It's an uphill task trying to understand God's plan, especially when we can't make logical sense of what we see happening to and around us. But we aren't instructed to understand His plans, but to TRUST HIM and be secure in the knowledge that He's working everything to ultimately turn out for our good. God won't mismanage your life. Trust Him with it and be willing and quick to obey His instructions even when they don't fit into your parameter of what's logical. *DAILY DEW 22ND/DECEMBER/2021* *FINANCING MISSIONS* (III) _Key Bible Text:_ *And because of the proof which this service of yours brings, many will give glory to God for your loyalty to the gospel of Christ, which you profess, and for your generosity in sharing with them and everyone else.* (2 Corinthians 9:13 (GNB)) _Bible Insight:_ A lot of people have an idea that when George Mueller died, George Mueller’s God died (too). God is not dead. Elijah’s God still lives today. He can work the necessary miracle. “Said I not unto thee, that, if thou would believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God? All things are possible to him that believeth.” Every year for 50 years, we have held a missionary convention. It used to last for one week. Then, for several years, four weeks and five Sundays. After giving the people a vision of missions, morning, afternoon and night, we take up a faith-promise offering. Our people indicate the amount they will contribute during the next twelve months. Does it work? Let me give you two examples. Park Street Church, Boston, asked me to hold an evangelistic campaign. I did so. The auditorium was crowded, with many standing on the steps, and score upon scores, mostly young people, found Christ. Dr. Harold Ockenga, the Pastor, asked me to come into his office. “Dr Smith,” he said, “this church has never had a missionary convention in the one hundred and thirty-five years of its history. We understand that you hold one every year. Would you be willing to come to Park Street and hold one for us?” I asked Dr. Ockenga how much his church was, at that time, contributing to missions. His answer was, $3,200 a year. Next year I took a group of missionaries and held a convention in Park Street Church. I went back every year for six years.
