*DAILY DEW 28TH/OCTOBER/2021* *KEEPING THE BODY BALANCED* (III) _Key Bible Text:_ *He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.* (John 3:36 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ The wrath of God vs the love of God. The wrath of God abides, (i.e. rests) on anyone who does not believe the Gospel. This is a scary truth that many fights against, especially those who do not believe. They always wonder *"how possible is it that God would sentence billions to hell or lake of fire or eternal death & destruction, simply because they do not believe Jesus or the Gospel?"* Well, they can wonder all they want, but God is not joking. The matter is sealed. Actually, people make their choice to go to hell, God only honours it. The only way out is actually for anyone who wants to be saved, to believe the gospel. There is no other way! (By the way, why would Jesus come to die if there was another way to salvation? 🤷🏽‍♂ ) One of the ways to get a balance in the body of Christ is to understand and teach the doctrine of eternal condemnation of the unbelieving vis a vis God's great love, accessible by believing the Gospel. In effect, we can see two sides of God's personality (three actually): His love and His Love (& His Holiness); or His great mercy and His Consuming fire. God detests sin because He is a holy God. He would not just let sin slide. Judgment will follow in due course if there is no repentance. Actually, His great love to redeem men from sin, is because He wants them to escape His wrath which is the punishment for sin. (Holiness demands that sin is punished) For those who understand this, what must be our reaction? For Paul the Apostle, he embraced the preaching of the Gospel because he submits that the Gospel is the power of God to save. (Rom 1:16) But he didn't stop there. He also said that in the Gospel, God's righteousness is revealed (seen in the righteousness of Jesus who died for sins in order to save sinners) and also God's wrath is revealed (seen in his judgment against sin)! (Rom 1:17-18) An understanding of the love and wrath of God, will push the believer to live and preach the Gospel more than ever before, while it will push the unbeliever to believe and accept the Gospel immediately. *MEDITATION* *For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. *We can't be lamenting islamization agenda and praying against the same, without also pushing our own world evangelization agenda. Jesus was first to commission Christians to pursue a world evangelization agenda. What are you doing about it?* ___ *For every dollar of Christian resources less than one penny is directed at reaching unreached peoples.* ___ _The Great Imbalance_ In the parable of the Lost Sheep the shepherd leaves the 99 and seeks out the one. He uses all his resources to find the lost. It seems the priority is backwards with the vast majority of Christian resources being used to tend the flock and few being used to seek the lost. Over 90% of all missionaries work among already reached peoples. Summary from Respected Sources Operation World presents data suggesting that after peaking in the mid-1990s the growth rate of both Christianity in general and Evangelicals (an approximation of true Christ-followers) has slowed significantly. After describing numerous advances of the Gospel, Operation World states "The sobering fact is that, even with all this activity, probably 24-27% of the world’s population have not had the good news presented to them in a way they could appreciate and meaningfully respond to." (Operation World p. 10) That translates to very close to two billion individuals, one in four individuals, without any knowledge of the Savior! *DAILY DEW 27TH/ OCTOBER/2021* *ENFORCING THE KINGDOM OF GOD* _Key Bible Text:_ *"For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost."* (Romans.14.17(KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ God is good and His mercy endures forever. He has a great plan for all His creation, especially man. God is still mindful of everyone here on earth. Psalms.8.4 (KJV), says *What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?* He is still faithful to His word that He does not want anyone to perish but that all should come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9). Indeed, the Kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. However, it appears that we see or find the opposite of this today. A lot of people are more subject to the devil than they are to God. *This is must become our prayer today: "Oh Lord, let Your kingdom come!"* There is work to be done. There is a provision to enforce the kingdom of God here on earth which also implies to set the world right. To enforce the kingdom of God here on earth can only be achieved through the power of God in you when you receive Him. John.1.12 (KJV) says *But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name* Accepting Christ and having His power in you is not for enjoyment alone. It is to enforce His kingdom here on earth. He has given us power that is above every other power. The power of the Lord in you is to enforce the kingdom of God, exercise the power of God in you through studying and digging deep into His Word and applying it to your daily activities. This will foster the presence of God that you carry and this in turn will be a blessing to you and your generation. Enforce the kingdom of God and let the devil be in trouble and confusion because you received Christ. Stand for holiness, righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. The name of the Lord is a strong tower, the righteous run into Him and they are safe. *DAILY DEW 19TH/OCTOBER/2021* *NOT NATURAL* (II) _Key Bible Text:_ *A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.* (John 13:34-35 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ The love Christ laid down for us to emulate is not natural- a love that cares for the loveless and unlovable. Christ did not die for some group of nice people who wanted to do some good in the world. Actually, the reverse was the case. Christ died for a bunch of people who do nothing but some evil in this world. And in case, you're wondering, that includes you and I. It would have been probably easier to die for some bunch of jolly good fellows who wanted to do some good in the world. But how do you die for folks who did nothing but sin and careless about God? Such is the love that Christ set for us to emulate. The Love Jesus gave us is one that cares for those who do not care; one that forgives those who do not forgive; one that respects those who do not respect A love that prays for one's enemies and sincerely desires good for them. This is not a love that says, love your neighbour as you love yourself. That is a limited version of love. This love says, love your neigbour first, before loving yourself. How else did Jesus love us? *"A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you..."* This love is never natural! It is supernatural! *MEDITATION* *Love endures long and is patient and kind; love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy, is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily. It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly) and does not act unbecomingly. *DAILY DEW 18TH/OCTOBER/2021* *NOT NATURAL* _Key Bible Text:_ *Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening].* (1 Corinthians 13:7 (AMP)) _Bible Insight:_ It is interesting that some people believe that love is natural. Many argue that love comes and is expressed naturally. Actually, nothing can be more deceitful and untrue than such empty claims without proof. If love was truly natural, nations will not be rumpled and embroiled in man made insecurities, economic destabilization and political turmoil. If love was natural, every love at first sight case would lead to lasting marriages and every high school sweetheart stories will never fade away. If love was natural, parents will not abandon their children; husbands will not desert or divorce their wives and children, or wives abandon their children and husbands. If love was natural, there would never be hatred, robberies, senseless killings, ritual killings, kidnappings, banditry, and all kinds of evil today. Love is NOT natural and never can be. In fact, the only thing that is natural is lying, hatred, stealing, cheating, and all manner of evil. That's why you find so many living in such patterns because many cannot even help it. They are naturally sinful. The Love that God demands of us is not natural. It is not fleeting nor self serving. It does not seek to achieve its own purpose but God's purposes. It does not do good to only those who are nice and lovely. It strives to do good to the unlovable and the difficult. This love is SUPERnatural. It is born of God's nature and exist by the Spirit's influence. It is not motivated by nor dependent on fickle human feelings. It doesn't come and go and is not dependent on convenience. It is actually hard work and not simply nice gestures that come by instincts. It is a determination to live daily by a code of conduct that copies the ways of God.
