*DAILY DEW 10/APRIL/2022* *ARE YOU A SOLUTION OR THE PROBLEM?* (I) _Key Bible Text:_ *"Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached. And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me."* (Luke 7:22-23 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ There are those who attack Christianity and claim all churches do is collect money, give anointing oil, pray pray pray, and sing sing sing...instead of changing Nigeria or contributing to society. But the real marvel is the Christians who believe them. One politician wrote something like that once about how Nigeria is full of churches on every street but yet there is no real change....only religion He didn't talk so much about other prayer houses. He didn't talk about all the great works churches have done in society, in education, in business, in charity...he made it seem like church was the opposite of such things And Christians were reposting it. Another Nigerian wrote about how the church can improve Nigeria and used the write-up to denigrate two or three pastors and their wives, who had recently been in the eye of the news. And Christians were saying "my thoughts exactly!" Facebook should have a pankere icon, if only at least for online flogging. Don't let people who have lost their faith in God sit on your brain and quench your lively spirit in the name of progressivism, activism, feminism, or humanism or any such thing. "The Bible supports slavery" "The Bible supports misogyny" "The Bible is against civilisation" "The Bible is this and the Bible is that" It is the philosophy behind the worship of Satan. The belief that somehow God is the villain and Satan is the victim, and God is just victimising Satan. That God is somehow wicked. *DAILY DEW 09/APRIL/2022* *THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT PARENTING* (The End) _Key Bible Text:_ *"For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him."* (Genesis 18:19 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ When you put God in everything, you will see His hand in everything! When you put everything about your children in God's hand, you will see His hand in everything about them. 1. Prayer works: Never stops praying for your children. Never stops teaching your children to pray. Never stops modeling a praying father or mother to your children. Never stops leading your children to pray. Never stops encouraging your children to pray. Never stop praying. Prayer works. 2. Be choicy in their choice of schools. Take time to select the school for your children. Be intentional. It's not necessarily how high the fees that matters, within your means, there is a school out there that would best serve the need of your children. 3. It is not only to marry according to God's will but to be the right person in marriage. Be intentional about being the right person in marriage. When you feel like you did not marry the right person, stop and ask yourself if your partner is not probably thinking the same of you. So, it is better YOU strive to be that right person for your partner, before you want them to be the right person for you. 4. Love is not emotional or sexual. Remember that love is beyond emotional or sexual feelings. Love is a daily decision you make. It is the ability to accommodate, forgive & continue to believe the best of others. 5. Spend more time with them. Don't make a habit of buying things for your children as an exchange for the time you deny to be with them. Your gifts can never replace your active presence in their lives. 6. It is the one that takes care of children that the children will know. Don't delegate your place in the lives of your children. 7. *DAILY DEW 08/APRIL/2022* *THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT PARENTING* (II) _Key Bible Text:_ *"Didn't God create you to become like one person with your wife? And why did he do this? It was so you would have children, and then lead them to become God's people. Don't ever be unfaithful to your wife."* (Malachi 2:15 (CEV)) _Bible Insight:_ When it comes to domestic chores, train your male and female children to be able to function comfortably in every kind of domestic matters. Don't relegate the girls to the kitchen alone. Ensure your boys are familiar with doing the dishes as well as cooking and laundry. Likewise, let the girls be able to wash the car, and any other chore typically relegated to boys. Our children should go through the Bible while they are with us from Genesis to Revelation. Don't educate your children in home chores and academic studies while you leave them naive in spiritual matters. Take time to train them to be spiritually strong. Be their first and most trusted bible teacher before their sunday school teacher. Give them the best Education you can afford. Home schooling or proper help with home work should also be encouraged. Be involved in their studies. Be there to ensure they are guided and not left exposed to unnecessary and unwholesome knowledge. Ensure they have enough bible knowledge to counter teachings that are anti-bible or anti-Christ. Expose your children to the word of God as well as to fellowship or church life. Let them attend bible studies, prayer meetings and evangelism with you. Teach your children money management at an early stage. Rather than pretend they don't know or not ready to know the value of money, teach them the value of money. Teach them to save their pockets money and gifts. Teach them that not every kobo that enters their hands must be used to buy something. Get a small savings box for them or open an account for them, or both. Teach them financial literacy. Your marriage should be the first 24hours practical marriage seminar session they should know and learn from. *DAILY DEW 07/APRIL/2022* *THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT PARENTING* (I) _Key Bible Text:_ *"I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father."* (2 John 1:4 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ The training of the children is a kingdom priority. God is more interested in how children are raised than we could imagine. Definitely, the level of attention given to children upbringing, going by the much decadence and loss of values prevalent today is a testament of poor parenting in this last days. God would rather we cater for children in terms of teaching them right, than giving them everything they ask for. We have replaced providing the demands of children with proper nurturing of children. This nurturing begins from the womb. And it is definitely not the sole business of the mother. Both parents, especially the Father, must start laying hands on the children from the womb. This must be done deliberately and consistently. The baby right from the womb must be familiar with the parents' praying and prophetic voices. Start to prophecy to your children not only when they are still in the womb but after they have been born as well. Prophecy more than you complain and chide. As you prophecy ensure you are living a exemplary and practical life, aligned with the Word of God. Set a good example before your children. Don't ask of them what you can't or do not do yourself. Reading parents for instance, will definitely produce reading children. Lovely, mutually respectful and caring parents, will naturally produce lovely and emotionally intelligent children. Love your wife as the gift to your children. Love your husband as the gift to your children. It is sheer ignorance and hypocrisy to claim to love your children, while hating, abusing and disrespecting your spouse. _MEDITATION:_ *"And did not God make [you and your wife] one [flesh]? *DAILY DEW 6TH/APRIL/2022* *Be PURPOSE-DRIVEN* (The End) _Key Bible Text:_ *"Don't worry and ask yourselves, "Will we have anything to eat? Will we have anything to drink? Will we have any clothes to wear?" Only people who don't know God are always worrying about such things. Your Father in heaven knows that you need all of these. But more than anything else, put God's work first and do what he wants. Then the other things will be yours as well."* (Matthew 6:31-33 (CEV)) _Bible Insight:_ Jesus switched from talking about physical food to spiritual food. This is the second time He made such a switch of words. The Samaritan woman wanted physical water, but Jesus redirected her to her real need – living water, eternal life. The disciples talked about food, Jesus redirected them to that which is more important - spiritual food – doing God’s will. The disciples focused on the physical. Jesus wanted them to know the importance of that which is spiritual. We are to be concerned with the will of God. We are to be concerned with the salvation of the lost. Can we see the PASSION of Jesus’ heart? Can you feel the passion of His heart today? Are we talking only about the physical? Are we praying only for physical needs? Are we preoccupied only by the physical – the affairs of this life? We are to be PASSIONATE not just because this is God’s will for us. Jesus explains further, saying to His disciples, in verse 35: “Do you not say, ‘Four months more and then the harvest’? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.” _MEDITATION:_ *"We are to be PASSIONATE because time is running out. It’s the right time to reap now! Let us develop a PASSION for the work of God. Don’t wait. Do it now.
