*DAILY DEW 08/APRIL/2022* *THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT PARENTING* (II) _Key Bible Text:_ *"Didn't God create you to become like one person with your wife? And why did he do this? It was so you would have children, and then lead them to become God's people. Don't ever be unfaithful to your wife."* (Malachi 2:15 (CEV)) _Bible Insight:_ When it comes to domestic chores, train your male and female children to be able to function comfortably in every kind of domestic matters. Don't relegate the girls to the kitchen alone. Ensure your boys are familiar with doing the dishes as well as cooking and laundry. Likewise, let the girls be able to wash the car, and any other chore typically relegated to boys. Our children should go through the Bible while they are with us from Genesis to Revelation. Don't educate your children in home chores and academic studies while you leave them naive in spiritual matters. Take time to train them to be spiritually strong. Be their first and most trusted bible teacher before their sunday school teacher. Give them the best Education you can afford. Home schooling or proper help with home work should also be encouraged. Be involved in their studies. Be there to ensure they are guided and not left exposed to unnecessary and unwholesome knowledge. Ensure they have enough bible knowledge to counter teachings that are anti-bible or anti-Christ. Expose your children to the word of God as well as to fellowship or church life. Let them attend bible studies, prayer meetings and evangelism with you. Teach your children money management at an early stage. Rather than pretend they don't know or not ready to know the value of money, teach them the value of money. Teach them to save their pockets money and gifts. Teach them that not every kobo that enters their hands must be used to buy something. Get a small savings box for them or open an account for them, or both. Teach them financial literacy. Your marriage should be the first 24hours practical marriage seminar session they should know and learn from.
