*DAILY DEW 30TH/OCTOBER/2021* *CHECKING YOUR SPIRITUAL HEALTH METER* (II) _Key Bible Text:_ *Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.* (Ephesians 6:10-11 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ These “symptoms” come as warnings to us to address the intruder immediately, so that it does not progress into something more serious or shut our systems down immediately. The same way these “warning signs” come to tell us when we’re running on empty, when our God-meter is dangerously low/blinking red. We should not even let it get to this point, because we are to stay constantly filled with the Spirit and in continual communion with God, but in the case that it has/does and we have recognized the problem, the solution is not to stay trapped in guilt and self-loathing. It does no good. The solution is to immediately take up the sword of Spirit - the word of God, step into worship, and put on the garment of brokenness; this is how you put fire on your altar. We are the worst versions of ourselves when we are apart from God. We underestimate the damage we’re capable of, apart from God. So child of God, read your Bible and pray *everyday*. Stay planted in God. Keep that meter full and that battery charged. *MEDITATION* *For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. *DAILY DEW 29TH/OCTOBER/2021* *CHECKING YOUR SPIRITUAL HEALTH METER* (I) _Key Bible Text:_ *Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?* (2 Corinthians 13:5 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ This is how I am/know when my ‘God-meter’ is low/on red: 1. I mindlessly lie and easily become manipulative. 2. I crave more worldly content (especially songs) than godly content. 3. I crave *a lot* of junk food; a very very very unhealthy amount. 4. I become very irritable and quick to get angry. 5. The days feel too long and the nights feel too short - I do not look forward to doing anything productive. There’s no inspiration to do anything productive. 6. When I sleep, my dreams make less and less sense. 7. I become careless with my thoughts, and allow them wander to sexual places. We all have a ‘God-meter’, and when that meter starts to run on empty, we know. It’s different things for different people, but we can all tell the clear difference between when we’re *filled* with the Spirit and when we’re hanging on to the last strand of spiritual sensitivity we have left. We know. It’s the way a typical Nigerian knows when they’re about to come down with malaria. For some, they have injuries or boils in/around their mouths and noses. For some others, like me, it starts with a sore throat. For yet some, it starts with pain around your joints. We all know. *MEDITATION* *How do you know your God-meter is running low?
