Then go to the studio and take a picture. The humility of Christ will saturate the entire frame. The glory of the Father will dim every other glow. When you post your own pictures, you may do it as a Christian, and with a good heart; BUT, we are what we behold. It is true that our children won't do what we tell them, they will do what they see us do. There is a way I sit on the couch. It is a particular posture. No matter how I first sit, after a few minutes, I will adjust to that posture. One day I asked myself - why is there a covenant between this sitting posture and me? Then I realised my father sits like that on the couch. For many years growing up, I saw him sit like that. Gbam! It became part of me, subconsciously. Without thinking about it, I also now sit like that. *DAILY DEW 1ST/FEBRUARY/2022* *Faith Series: The Trials of Faith* _Key Bible Text:_ *"By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called: Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure.”* (Hebrews 11:17-19 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ God does not tempt us but our Faith will be tried. Until our Faith is tried, it will not have the opportunity to be marked "tested and trusted". In 1 Peter 4:12-13 (KJV), it is written, *"Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy."* Trials of Faith must come but they do not have a particular way of coming. For Abraham, God needed to test his ability to obey and sacrifice. It was God himself asking Abraham to offer Isaac. It was left for Abraham to either obey or disobey. In every trial of your Faith, you will have to either obey or disobey. You will also perceive that God is behind it all, sometimes like an examiner who does not help his student during an exam. When you are going through trials of your Faith that comes as challenges or persecution, or when you are being directly requested by God to offer up something, the key is to remember that your Faith is tried not to weaken it, but to strengthen it. As we enter a new month, and as the year unfolds further, be sensitive to the various ways God might allow your Faith to be tested. *DAILY DEW 31ST/JANUARY/2022* *Faith Series: Faith Does Not Look Back* _Key Bible Text:_ *"These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. And truly, if they had been MINDFUL of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.”* (Hebrews 11:13, 15 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ To be "FAITH--FULL" you have to careful about what you are mindful of. Faithfulness or trusting God is a result of what we fill our minds with. When Abram and his entourage left Haran, they never looked back. They moved as God directed them. When Lot and his family left Sodom and Gomorrah, Lot's wife looked back because her mind had not left the forbidden place, earmarked for destruction. If we don't move with God with our minds fully stayed on God and his present leading, we risk the danger of looking back, which might be fatal. The children of Israel desired and lusted for the food they ate in Egypt even when that was the same place that they sought to be delivered from. When God saves you, it is expected that you renew your mind so that you don't go back to the vomit of your past life. Men stray back into sin because their minds are not retrained to look forward and follow the Lord's leading through His word. There was a time you used to share the gospel on your street, but now you don't want trouble? Guess who's glad? Definitely not God! You used to share the truth on your social media accounts but now it's all about politics? All about business? You don't want to be seen as a Jesus boy, just a business guy, tech person, football enthusiast, etc. Who gave you such ideas? Who says the gospel has to take the back seat for these ideologies???! Why not just create a business page exclusively for business or whatever while still talking Jesus loudly in your personal space even as you share your business? Keep preaching, keep teaching. Be known as an ambassador for Christ. Wear the badge of the UNSHAMED! If there's ever a time we need to be loud with the gospel, IT IS NOW!
