If he shrinks back, my soul has no pleasure in him.”* (Hebrews 10:36-38 (WEB)) _Bible Insight:_ Saul sacrificed his reign over the kingdom of Israel on the altar of impatience. There is a reason the fruit of the spirit includes "love, joy, peace, LONGSUFFERING, gentleness, goodness, faith," Galatians 5:22 (KJV) We are not programmed to run and win the heavenly race on the platform of speed and ease. Heaven is not delivered to the hasty. Godly rewards do not answer to quick fix measures. Whoever will walk with God must brace up for the long haul of the heavenly journey. It is not for the faint hearted and for the impatient. It is for those whose hearts are bent on getting to the end no matter how arduous and lonely. God is NOT committed to save those who started the race. He is committed to save those who endured to the end. If you are doing anything right, don't stop. If you are not doing right, better stop, repent and turn a new leaf. Once you do, don't look back. *DAILY DEW 9TH/JANUARY/2022* *LIVING A YEAR IN SURRENDER* _Key Bible Text:_ *"But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive."* (Genesis 50:20 (NKJV)) _Bible Insight:_ The beginning of the year is the perfect time to pause and reflect—not only to recognize all the reasons we have to be grateful, but also to heal and grow in the year ahead. While reflecting, we may be reminded of hurt feelings. Rather than sweep those feelings under the rug or let them create bitterness, we can choose the freedom of forgiveness. And the first step toward forgiveness is surrender. “Surrender” can be one of those words that makes people squeamish, especially when it comes to forgiveness. We tend to equate it with losing a battle—waving a white flag and allowing the enemy to overtake us. But when we surrender to God, we can view it differently. With God, surrender means being open handed with our lives—even our hurt and pain so that God can heal us from it. He is full of love, mercy, and compassion for each of us. We don’t have to be afraid to give our pain to God because we can trust Him to be tender, and handle our hearts with care. _MEDITATION:_ *Don’t take the offenses and hurts from last year into this new year. If there’s something you need to forgive, take a moment to pray and surrender it to God. *DAILY DEW 8TH/JANUARY/2022* *CANCEL THE RAPTURE?* _Key Bible Text:_ *"Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed."* (1 Corinthians 15:51-52 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ While I was on the bus, I was reflecting on what the preacher said the other day. He was talking about the rapture, the sudden disappearance of all qualified Christians from the face of the earth to meet Jesus in the air. He mentioned that those that won't be taken will face a very terrible experience which may end up with life in hellfire. I was greatly troubled by those words. Somehow I wished they were not true. My concern is not really what that means for me as a person but for my friends, neighbors, family members, and several other people who are yet to accept the salvation provided by Christ. For their sake, I dreaded the rapture. I wished that part of Jesus' program for the world could be canceled. I wanted the rapture canceled because many people I love may not be taken. They may still be in this world when terrible things will be happening. They say, 'if wishes were horses, beggars will ride. I was simply delusional. I can't do anything about the Rapture but I (and you) can do something about the salvation of people around us, salvation of the world. We hold a very critical key to them being raptured and it's time we start using our key. It's time we take the message of the end very seriously and preach to every living thing around us including our family and friends. It's time we pray for the salvation of the world. It's time we think missions, talk missions and do missions. It's time we feel the burden and save souls. _MEDITATION:_ *We will not be able to cancel the rapture but we can increase the number that will be taken. We can save souls from going to hell. *DAILY DEW 25TH/DECEMBER/2021* *BORN FOR A MISSION* _Key Bible Text:_ *"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."* (Isaiah 9:6 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ The saviour's birth was foretold long before his story was told. He was definitely expected because his birth was expedient and a necessity for the divine purpose of God. This purpose was and is only for the good of mankind. His birth was to be the signal for the divine government of God like never before. For the government will be upon His shoulders. He was born for this mission- to establish the government of God. All who know this, must realize that to mark or celebrate His birth should be an occasion to ensure the increase of His government because that's His primary purpose. And this sort of celebration should be our daily purpose. This knowledge driven by zeal is key to the actual increase His government. _MEDITATION:_ *Of the increase of His government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon His kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever.
