*DAILY DEW 15TH/JANUARY/2022* *Persevere to Receive The Promise* _Key Bible Text:_ *"For you need endurance so that, having done the will of God, you may receive the promise. “In a very little while, he who comes will come, and will not wait. But the righteous will live by faith. If he shrinks back, my soul has no pleasure in him.”* (Hebrews 10:36-38 (WEB)) _Bible Insight:_ Saul sacrificed his reign over the kingdom of Israel on the altar of impatience. There is a reason the fruit of the spirit includes "love, joy, peace, LONGSUFFERING, gentleness, goodness, faith," Galatians 5:22 (KJV) We are not programmed to run and win the heavenly race on the platform of speed and ease. Heaven is not delivered to the hasty. Godly rewards do not answer to quick fix measures. Whoever will walk with God must brace up for the long haul of the heavenly journey. It is not for the faint hearted and for the impatient. It is for those whose hearts are bent on getting to the end no matter how arduous and lonely. God is NOT committed to save those who started the race. He is committed to save those who endured to the end. If you are doing anything right, don't stop. If you are not doing right, better stop, repent and turn a new leaf. Once you do, don't look back.
