*DAILY DEW 5/MAY/2022* *BUSINESS AS A MISSION* _Key Bible Text:_ *"And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned."* (Mark 16:15-16 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ A missions business is one setup strictly to promote missions. It is different from a christian owning a business. It a business run according to the principles of Jesus. It does not stop such business from being successful or from being a billionaire business. It is said that Dr Cosmas Maduka of Coscharis Group still does evangelism. Even if one owns a Business as Missions, he or she is not excluded from being involved in personal missions. The following four (4) characteristics of Kingdom Business should be kept in mind:- 1. It is a Vocation. Ephesians 4:1(KJV): *"I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called"* 2. It is intentional and purpose driven. There are skills and talents in your new created man that must be deployed for the purpose of running the business. Ephesians 2:10 (KJV): *"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."* Any business that focus on only profit is a poor business. Wealthy businesses must focus on these three-- Profit. People. Environment 3. A kingdom business is relational. It is a relationship driven business that puts the physical and spiritual wellbeing of the people into high consideration. 4. Operational of Excellence:- No half measures. *DAILY DEW 4/MAY/2022* *THE CRUCIFIED LIFE VS THE MORTIFIED LIFE* _Key Bible Text:_ *"And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.* (Galatians 5:24 (KJV)) *"Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:"* (Colossians 3:5 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ Flowing from the power of resurrection, when put into perspective, is the power or victory over the old life of sin! The crucified life of Christ in the past, gives us access to victory over the old man of sin, while the mortified life brings us the victory in the present and future. In other words, the reality of the newness of life comes as an aftermath of the crucified life of Christ! The place of crucifixion is past truth and fact that you can draw beneficially from. For you also were crucified with Christ on the cross! *"Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin."* (Romans 6:6 (KJV)) Therefore, the very fact/truth of crucifixion and resurrection, gives you the grace and duty of mortifying the flesh! To mortify appears at least twice in King James Version. The first appearance was as follows: *"Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do MORTIFY the deeds of the body, ye shall live."* (Romans 8:12-13 (KJV)) The second is already stated in our Key Bible Text. To "mortify" is a verb, calling you to a present action/duty. But in all occasions in scriptures (NT), wherever "crucified" appeared, it referenced a concluded event, needing no further action, other than its recognition, acceptance and appreciation! The power of resurrection enables us to actually, mortify (put to death the desires of) the flesh. _MEDITATION:_ *"So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual immorality, impurity, lust, and evil desires. Don't be greedy, for a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world. Because of these sins, the anger of God is coming. You used to do these things when your life was still part of this world. But now is the time to get rid of anger, rage, malicious behavior, slander, and dirty language. Don't lie to each other, for you have stripped off your old sinful nature and all its wicked deeds. *DAILY DEW 3/MAY/2022* *NEW BREED BIRTH NEW BREED* (II) _Key Bible Text:_ *"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."* (Ephesians 2:8-10 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ *"Christ is all, and in all"* Hence, the New Breed must be all about Him-- to know Him and to Make Him Known! We conclude with the verses that come after 2 Corinthians 5:17. *"But all things are of God, who has made us at peace with himself through Christ, and has given to us the work of making peace;"* (2 Corinthians 5:18) See that! See that! "All things" includes you and I. We are restored to new fellowship and a new relationship in Christ! But that isn't all there is. It says *"and has given to us the work of making peace"* The work of making peace is to MAKE JESUS KNOWN, even as we have come to know Him! *"That is, that God was in Christ making peace between the world and himself, not putting their sins to their account, and having given to us the preaching of this news of peace."* (2 Corinthians 5:19) God in Christ, Christ in Us! This chain of responsibilities is key! We are linked to Christ, by this responsibility. God was in Christ making peace, thus, saving us, making us New Breed! And Christ is also in Us, or a part of us, for the same purpose-- for us to also make peace with others even as God in Christ made peace with us! _MEDITATION:_ *"So we are the representatives of Christ, as if God was making a request to you through us: we make our request to you, in the name of Christ, be at peace with God. *DAILY DEW 2/MAY/2022* *NEW BREED BIRTH NEW BREED* (I) _Key Bible Text:_ *"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."* (2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ To understand the background or context of 2 Corinthians 5:17 helps to see certain things very clearly. These things can be simply summarized as New Breed produces New Breed. Let's see:- In 2 Corinthians 5:14(BBE), it says, *"For it is the love of Christ which is moving us; because we are of the opinion that if one was put to death for all, then all have undergone death;"* The first thing was that God's love was great in the lives of the Apostles that they were moved to seek the need to tell others about Christ. These were new creature men themselves, burning with conviction that Jesus died for all, therefore all have died. But even more importantly, since Jesus died for all, all who live must consider themselves alive at the mercy of Christ! *"And that he underwent death for all, so that the living might no longer be living to themselves, but to him who underwent death for them and came back from the dead."* (2 Corinthians 5:15) Then comes the next vital point-- *"For this REASON, from this time forward we have knowledge of no man after the flesh: even if we have had knowledge of Christ after the flesh, we have no longer any such knowledge."* (2 Corinthians 5:16) The reason being referred to, is the fact that every new creature man is to live for Christ. So we don't consider their tribes, their backgrounds, their physical looks, etc. Rather, we focus on the one who died for them; whose they have now become and should live for His pleasure. Thus, it is concluded as follow: *"So if any man is in Christ, he is in a new world: the old things have come to an end; they have truly become new."* (2 Corinthians 5:17) Those who are in Christ, code named the New Breed, have a new identity. They have a new focus, they have a new vision, and new purpose and mission for living. And this NEW is all about Christ-- To Know Him, and To Make Him Know! Hallelujah! _MEDITATION:_ *"But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. *DAILY DEW 1/MAY/2022* *MIRACLE AT THE SALON/BARBER'S SHOP* _Key Bible Text:_ *"To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will."* (1 Corinthians 12:10-11 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ My brother (Teeman Shotit), His wife, and I, went to a unisex salon yesterday and while they were working on their hairs, I was seated on a chair listening to a message. My mind was deeply buried in it so much that I didn't know someone had passed out and the whole place was in commotion and panic. By the time my brother's wife tapped me to alert me, I was the only one sitting while everyone had gathered around the body of a young man. When I got there, I saw my brother laying hands and shouting 'come back!' 'Wake up now' in the name of Jesus! Suddenly, he jacked back and opened his eyes. My brother said to him, this is the power of God! A door of utterance was opened. According to my brother, he just noticed the young man was jacking and stretching and as they were trying to help him he shut his eyes and passed out. At that point, the whole place was already very tensed and frightening. That was when he stepped in and began to pray and a miracle broke loose. I have called this morning to ask about him. He is very fine and stable still. Glory to God! Acts of power are normal experiences. Here are a few things to note from this one. We don't need a special atmosphere to manifest the power of God. We were in our most ordinary state in an ordinary place. The songs on their speakers were secular songs. Nobody was playing strings on keyboard. We were cutting our hair not preaching in a conference. Nobody also knew us as believers or ministers. Yet the power of God moved! _MEDITATION:_ *"You see, once your consciousness is right, you are set. We build that consciousness in our gatherings and then take it to our personal spaces. Jesus moved the power of God even at a wedding party. Don't limit the move of God to church services. We carry God everywhere we go!
