*Be PURPOSE-DRIVEN* (I)
_Key Bible Text:_
*"Sacrifices and offerings are not what please you; gifts and payment for sin are not what you demand. But you made me willing to listen and obey. And so, I said, "I am here to do what is written about me in the book, where it says, 'I enjoy pleasing you. Your Law is in my heart.' " When your people worshiped, you know I told them, "Our LORD always helps!""* (Psalms 40:6-9 (CEV))
_Bible Insight:_
We long to live a purposeful life. One Christian author Rick Warren wrote a book, "The Purpose Driven Life", with a subtitle, "What on earth am I here for?" It turned out to be a bestseller, because that’s the cry of the human heart. We want to live life with meaning and purpose. I want to make my life count.
Do you want to live a fruitful life? That which is purposeful and useful? We need to learn from Jesus. He led a most satisfying life - pleasing to God and fulfils all that the Father expects from Him. Today we want to live the same kind of life.
Jesus need not have to ask the question, "What on earth am I here for?" It was clearly prophesied even before He was born. His parents need not have to think of a name for Him, like all parents do - His name was given even before He was born. His Name epitomizes His entire life purpose - He was born to save.
He lived only for 33 years, and completed what He was born to do. From His encounter with this Samaritan woman, Jesus showed us 3 guiding principles of life: (1) He lived His life knowing clearly His purpose; (2) He has the right priorities; (3) He was driven by a passion to fulfil God’s will.
_MEDITATION:_
*"When all your people met, I did not keep silent. I said, "Our LORD is kind. He is faithful and caring, and he saves us." You, LORD, never fail to have pity on me; your love and faithfulness always keep me secure."* -- Psalms 40:10-11(CEV)

*DAILY DEW 1ST/APRIL/2022*
*Be ENCOURAGED*
_Key Bible Text:_
*"But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing."* (2 Thessalonians 3:13 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
You are too focused on what is not working well as you planned. Yes, I know this is the first month of the second quarter of the year. But before you put yourself down as a no achiever or a down right failure, remember that only those alive can be said to be doing well or otherwise.
Thank God that you are still alive. Thank God that you are up on your feet and not down on the sick bed. Even if you are on the sick bed, take courage and thank God because His plans for you are of good and not of evil.
Truth is, you are not a failure. You may not be where you planned to be yet, but before you continue comparing yourself with your mates that you believe are doing better than you, stop and be encouraged because you are not where you used to be.
Your future is bright. Keep doing the good you know to do. Keep working. Keep praying. Keep believing. Keep making progress. If you have fallen, rise up. Be encouraged. If you have been betrayed or misinterpreted or misunderstood for your good intentions, be encouraged. Jesus was once in your shoes.
Keep growing. No matter how challenging your circumstances are, don't give up. Before you conclude, continue the good work for another day, and then another day, and another. You will get there.
I will see you at the top. If I don't see you, you will see me. 😊
_MEDITATION:_
*"Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord."* -- 1 Corinthians 15:58 (KJV)

*THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT MARRIAGE* (IV)
_Key Bible Text:_
*"Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband."* (Ephesians 5:33 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
The things to know about marriage cannot be exhausted nor can they be overemphasized. Today we consider some additional important things, in no particular order and without.
1. Discharge your responsibilities.
As a wife, be ready to discharge your responsibilities. Don't take them for granted and don't excuse yourself from them. Usually, this includes but not limited to the business of home & children management. As a husband, your role is usually but not limited to providing for the family and ensuring the spiritual health and stability of the home.
Note that none of these is static and any of these roles can be swapped and both husbands and wives can and should help each other in carrying out any of these roles. But remember that every wife needs financial security while every husband needs domestic security, which includes the ability of the husband to have access to good food, and bring friends/family home, but with mutual agreement or understanding, and vice versa.
_MEDITATION:_
*"Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;"* -- Ephesians 5:22, 25 (KJV)

*THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT MARRIAGE* (III)
_Key Bible Text:_
*"The marriage bed must be a place of mutuality--the husband seeking to satisfy his wife, the wife seeking to satisfy her husband. Marriage is not a place to "stand up for your rights." Marriage is a decision to serve the other, whether in bed or out."* (1 Corinthians 7:3-4 (The Message))
_Bible Insight:_
After the Reality Stage, it either you break into the Retaliation Stage or the Renovation Stage. It is almost impossible to taste both Retaliation Stage & Renovation Stage, because the two stages further lead to different outcomes/stages.
3. Retaliation stage-- this is the stage where the couples reacts based on the harsh discoveries revealed from the Reality Stage. This is where you find couples saying things like, *"I can't cope with my husband's/wive's poor etiquette, poor cooking skills, poor communication abilities, poor..."* When couples put on the *"I can't this and that..."* They begin to retaliate & fight back in a way that badly affect the marriage, leading to the stage of Rejection.
Or
4. Renovation Stage -- unlike retaliation stage, couples who make the most of reality stage, give a positive and healthy attitude towards the realities they wake up to. Rather than fight & quarrel, they wear garments of grace, forgiveness, willingness to improve, and willingness to adjust & do all it takes to make each other better, and thereby make the marriage work. This then leads to the Renewal stage
5. Renewal stage: this is the outcome of living by the fruit of the spirit. It makes marriage takes its true shape of making two become one. The couple become a renewed pair. At this stage they have learned to compliment each other, rather than fight or detest the differences of each other.
Or
6. Rejection stage. When Reality Stage is mismanaged, it leads to retaliation, which leads to either divorce or separation or an enduring marriage. People divorce each other, because they have rejected their partner. It is the outcome of failure to live by the fruits of the Spirit.
_MEDITATION:_
*"With my little experience so far, my number one advice for couples, intending or not, is be flexible and be ready to adjust. If you don't want to bend, you will break or the marriage will break."*

*THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT MARRIAGE* (II)
_Key Bible Text:_
*"Summing up: Be agreeable, be sympathetic, be loving, be compassionate, be humble. That goes for all of you, no exceptions. No retaliation. No sharp-tongued sarcasm. Instead, bless--that's your job, to bless. You'll be a blessing and also get a blessing."* (1 Peter 3:8-9 (The Message))
_Bible Insight:_
There are stages that every marriage will go through. These stages can make or mar your marriage. Hence, understanding what these stages can bring is key, so you know what to do and how to make the most of each stage.
The number one stage of marriage is:-
1. The honey moon stage: This one is usually the easiest and the one that attracts many singles towards marriage. Alas, it is just an introductory stage of marriage that starts informally from serious courtship and more formally after the wedding night. It may last from a month to a year, more or less depending on the couple.
PS- Some have learned to move from a short term honey moon stage, to a life time honey moon, sometimes called, honey years. The key to this switch still lies in understanding every stage of marriage and working towards the best of each stage.
2. The reality stage-- This is when the real person shows up. All the sugar coated-ness and best-foot showing, gradually begins to wear off. Shocks and surprises at differences of the two individuals begins to rear their (ugly) heads up.
At this stage, Mr Right becomes Mr Wrong or Mr Not So Right, while Mrs Right, wants to remain Mrs Right even when she is wrong. At this stage, there are two other possible Stages that would naturally come up next, depending on the parties -- it is either the Retaliation Stage or The Renovation Stage.
This reality stage is usually where many lose it and thereby forgo their rather shortlived "firebrand, together forever love" they had professed to each other.
_MEDITATION:_
*"Every stage of marriage can either make or mar your marriage. But knowing what to do, and doing what it takes to keep your marriage on top and in good shape, is the way to having a successful married life"*
