*DAILY DEW 2ND/APRIL/2022* *Be PURPOSE-DRIVEN* (I) _Key Bible Text:_ *"Sacrifices and offerings are not what please you; gifts and payment for sin are not what you demand. But you made me willing to listen and obey. And so, I said, "I am here to do what is written about me in the book, where it says, 'I enjoy pleasing you. Your Law is in my heart.' " When your people worshiped, you know I told them, "Our LORD always helps!""* (Psalms 40:6-9 (CEV)) _Bible Insight:_ We long to live a purposeful life. One Christian author Rick Warren wrote a book, "The Purpose Driven Life", with a subtitle, "What on earth am I here for?" It turned out to be a bestseller, because that’s the cry of the human heart. We want to live life with meaning and purpose. I want to make my life count. Do you want to live a fruitful life? That which is purposeful and useful? We need to learn from Jesus. He led a most satisfying life - pleasing to God and fulfils all that the Father expects from Him. Today we want to live the same kind of life. Jesus need not have to ask the question, "What on earth am I here for?" It was clearly prophesied even before He was born. His parents need not have to think of a name for Him, like all parents do - His name was given even before He was born. His Name epitomizes His entire life purpose - He was born to save. He lived only for 33 years, and completed what He was born to do. From His encounter with this Samaritan woman, Jesus showed us 3 guiding principles of life: (1) He lived His life knowing clearly His purpose; (2) He has the right priorities; (3) He was driven by a passion to fulfil God’s will. _MEDITATION:_ *"When all your people met, I did not keep silent. I said, "Our LORD is kind. He is faithful and caring, and he saves us."
