*DAILY DEW 11/APRIL/2022* *ARE YOU A SOLUTION OR THE PROBLEM?* (II) _Key Bible Text:_ *"You who say that a man may not be untrue to his wife, are you true to yours? you who are a hater of images, do you do wrong to the house of God? You who take pride in the law, are you doing wrong to the honour of God by behaviour which is against the law? For the name of God is shamed among the Gentiles because of you, as it is said in the holy Writings."* (Romans 2:22-24 (BBE)) _Bible Insight:_ Are there bad pastors? Yes. Are there false prophets? Verily Are there false brethren? Certainly But for every charlatan, there is a true man of God For every deceitful worker, there is a genuine pastor For every place where the word of God is abused, there is a place where lives are being transformed. For every one who called himself, there is one whom God called. And the ratio is here stated in favour of the former. God is doing a lot through the church. People really helped. Lives restored. Families supported. Marriages saved. Youths empowered. The word of God taught. Many many people bettered. Hospital bills paid. Businesses set up. Many mouths fed. Many scholarships paid. Communities impacted. Community service per excellence. If you find that you don't know or talk about these things but once there is a bad story here or there, an accusation here or there.....then you find your voice "Ah jus wanto stan for what is right!" "Dis pipu shud be hed akantabu!" You, even you?! Hmm...Oh child of God! Is it the church who falsifies arrival time at the office and writes 7:44am instead of 8:35? Is it the church who shunts queues? Is it the church who teaches you to lie to your boss and shortchange your employees? Is it the church that is embezzling company and government funds? Is it the church that should bring up your children? Is it the church that should take in the homeless? Or is it you? Oh child of God! Are you like Daniel and his three friends who would not defile himself? Or like Joseph who would not sleep with his employer or any woman in the workplace, won't stare at her or him even twice, and flee from any and all advances instead of calling it 'favor" Or like Esther who fasted and prayed in her high office to overthrow an unrighteous decree Or like Nehemiah who used his office to stand for the people of God? _MEDITATION:_ *"Because none of these people were Levites or Priests or Pastors or Preachers or any such thing. *DAILY DEW 10/APRIL/2022* *ARE YOU A SOLUTION OR THE PROBLEM?* (I) _Key Bible Text:_ *"Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached. And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me."* (Luke 7:22-23 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ There are those who attack Christianity and claim all churches do is collect money, give anointing oil, pray pray pray, and sing sing sing...instead of changing Nigeria or contributing to society. But the real marvel is the Christians who believe them. One politician wrote something like that once about how Nigeria is full of churches on every street but yet there is no real change....only religion He didn't talk so much about other prayer houses. He didn't talk about all the great works churches have done in society, in education, in business, in charity...he made it seem like church was the opposite of such things And Christians were reposting it. Another Nigerian wrote about how the church can improve Nigeria and used the write-up to denigrate two or three pastors and their wives, who had recently been in the eye of the news. And Christians were saying "my thoughts exactly!" Facebook should have a pankere icon, if only at least for online flogging. Don't let people who have lost their faith in God sit on your brain and quench your lively spirit in the name of progressivism, activism, feminism, or humanism or any such thing. "The Bible supports slavery" "The Bible supports misogyny" "The Bible is against civilisation" "The Bible is this and the Bible is that" It is the philosophy behind the worship of Satan. The belief that somehow God is the villain and Satan is the victim, and God is just victimising Satan. That God is somehow wicked. *DAILY DEW 09/APRIL/2022* *THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT PARENTING* (The End) _Key Bible Text:_ *"For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him."* (Genesis 18:19 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ When you put God in everything, you will see His hand in everything! When you put everything about your children in God's hand, you will see His hand in everything about them. 1. Prayer works: Never stops praying for your children. Never stops teaching your children to pray. Never stops modeling a praying father or mother to your children. Never stops leading your children to pray. Never stops encouraging your children to pray. Never stop praying. Prayer works. 2. Be choicy in their choice of schools. Take time to select the school for your children. Be intentional. It's not necessarily how high the fees that matters, within your means, there is a school out there that would best serve the need of your children. 3. It is not only to marry according to God's will but to be the right person in marriage. Be intentional about being the right person in marriage. When you feel like you did not marry the right person, stop and ask yourself if your partner is not probably thinking the same of you. So, it is better YOU strive to be that right person for your partner, before you want them to be the right person for you. 4. Love is not emotional or sexual. Remember that love is beyond emotional or sexual feelings. Love is a daily decision you make. It is the ability to accommodate, forgive & continue to believe the best of others. 5. Spend more time with them. Don't make a habit of buying things for your children as an exchange for the time you deny to be with them. Your gifts can never replace your active presence in their lives. 6. It is the one that takes care of children that the children will know. Don't delegate your place in the lives of your children. 7. Be hard on them where and when necessary. Don't spare the rod & spoil the child. _MEDITATION:_ *"The most formative years of a child is between ages 1 to 16! *DAILY DEW 3RD/APRIL/2022* *Be PURPOSE-DRIVEN* (II) _Key Bible Text:_ *Jesus says “For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of Him who sent me. And this is the will of Him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all that He has given me, but raise them up at the last day. For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in Him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.”"* (John 6:38-40) _Bible Insight:_ 1. Live Your Life With A Clear Purpose Jesus and his disciples were on their way to Judea from the North (Galilee). If they had taken the normal route, they would not have passed Samaria. In fact, there are at least 3 different routes from Galilee to Judea, yet Jesus made a deliberate trip to stop at this place - Samaria. The Bible says in v.4 “Now he had to go through Samaria.” Why? Because He knows His purpose – to bring the message of God’s love to the Samaritans. He has come to meet the woman at the well, and gave her the message of new life that He can offer – “living water”. And did He succeed? Yes, in fact, very well. The Bible says (v.39) “Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in Him because of the woman’s testimony.” Jesus lived His life with a purpose – a very clear one. Do you know your Father’s will? It all starts with God. People often ask, “So what do you want to achieve with your life?” This is not accurate. The right question for us is, “So what does God want you to achieve with your life?” The purpose of your life is far greater than your own personal fulfilment and happiness. It’s far greater than your family, career, and ambitions. God revealed to us, from Scriptures, the grand purpose of our life – to know Him and make Him known. _MEDITATION:_ *"For some of us, we need to know Him more – devotion, prayer, worship. For others, we want to make Him known – to those in our homes, offices, school. Make this year a purposeful one. Let God accomplishes His will through you. *DAILY DEW 2ND/APRIL/2022* *Be PURPOSE-DRIVEN* (I) _Key Bible Text:_ *"Sacrifices and offerings are not what please you; gifts and payment for sin are not what you demand. But you made me willing to listen and obey. And so, I said, "I am here to do what is written about me in the book, where it says, 'I enjoy pleasing you. Your Law is in my heart.' " When your people worshiped, you know I told them, "Our LORD always helps!""* (Psalms 40:6-9 (CEV)) _Bible Insight:_ We long to live a purposeful life. One Christian author Rick Warren wrote a book, "The Purpose Driven Life", with a subtitle, "What on earth am I here for?" It turned out to be a bestseller, because that’s the cry of the human heart. We want to live life with meaning and purpose. I want to make my life count. Do you want to live a fruitful life? That which is purposeful and useful? We need to learn from Jesus. He led a most satisfying life - pleasing to God and fulfils all that the Father expects from Him. Today we want to live the same kind of life. Jesus need not have to ask the question, "What on earth am I here for?" It was clearly prophesied even before He was born. His parents need not have to think of a name for Him, like all parents do - His name was given even before He was born. His Name epitomizes His entire life purpose - He was born to save. He lived only for 33 years, and completed what He was born to do. From His encounter with this Samaritan woman, Jesus showed us 3 guiding principles of life: (1) He lived His life knowing clearly His purpose; (2) He has the right priorities; (3) He was driven by a passion to fulfil God’s will. _MEDITATION:_ *"When all your people met, I did not keep silent. I said, "Our LORD is kind. He is faithful and caring, and he saves us."
