*DAILY DEW 3/JANUARY/2023* *TAKING NATIONS FOR CHRIST* (III) _Key Bible Text:_ *Yet have I anointed (installed and placed) My King [firmly] on My holy hill of Zion. I will declare the decree of the Lord: He said to Me, You are My Son; this day [I declare] I have begotten You. Ask of Me, and I will give You the nations as Your inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth as Your possession.* (Psalms 2:6-8 (Amplified Bible)) _Bible Insight:_ How do we take nations for Christ? Remember that nations represent the following: men, influence and affluence, territories, and states and countries. We already examined three vital points of what taking the nations involves. We shall add the following points to what has already been stated: How we take nations for Christ:- 4. Becoming aligned in sonship with God. This simply means becoming more like Christ. A Christlike character is of vital necessity for any who is poised to take nations for Christ. *"I will declare the decree of the Lord: He said to Me, You are My Son; this day [I declare] I have begotten You. Ask of Me, and I will give You the nations as Your inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth as Your possession."* It is a son that was commanded to ask for nations. To ask for nations is the exclusive preserve for those who have grown and are growing into Sonship or Christlikeness. God will not commit the nations nor inheritance of nations to carnal and ungodly believers. Remember, the idea is taking the nations FOR CHRIST, and not for one's own self ambition or personal aggrandizement. 5. A commitment to seek nations for Christ. By divine settings, nothing in the kingdom is given, unless there is a demand. James 4:2 (KJV) *"yet ye have not, because ye ask not."* Also the Kingdom demands to be sought after. "No seekers, no finders" is the rule of the Kingdom. Hence, if you must take nations for Christ, you must engage God. It is interesting to note, that to take nations for Christ, you will still have to ask God for His Help without which you can do nothing! *DAILY DEW 2/JANUARY/2023* *TAKING NATIONS FOR CHRIST* (II) _Key Bible Text:_ *What do you want? Name it: Nations as a present? continents as a prize?* (Psalms 2:8 (The Message)) _Bible Insight:_ How do we take nations for Christ? We already know what nations represent. It is good to begin by stating that taking nations for Christ does not begin and end with contemplating soul winning, evangelism or missions. While these ideas are critical to the issue of taking nations for Christ, it is important we emphasize that we won't take nations for Christ only by "preaching" Christ without more. How we take nations for Christ:- 1. Evangelism and missions and prayers. It is good to clear all doubt. With prayers, evangelism and missions considered as critical aspects of our plans, goals this year, we will definitely take nations for Christ. But some "nations" will never be conquered by merely preaching and teaching or praying. There must be actions and more. 2. Commanding excellence in what you do. Until you become an authority in your field, kings (nations) will not come to the brightness of your rising. So this year, make up your mind to become exceptional at what you do. You can't be claiming to represent Christ, who went about doing good, while people can't see you doing good in your sphere of work, career or responsibilities. 3. Delivery of exceptional service. We don't take nations for Christ only through prayers, preaching and evangelism. We take nations through exceptional service delivery. Jesus said, let your light so shine that men will see it, and glorify your Father in heaven. It was only after Joseph wowed Pharaoh that he was appointed a prime minister and second in command. As we consider taking nations for Christ, REMEMBER that all the non-exhaustive above points are critical if we must indeed take nations for Christ. Learn new skills and sharpen your gifts or talents. *DAILY DEW 1/JANUARY/2023* *TAKING NATIONS FOR CHRIST* _Key Bible Text:_ *Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.* (Psalms 2:8 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ The new year can only be NEW to the extent that we learn new habits, set & accomplish new goals, acquire new skills, build new relationships, reinforce old but relevant relationships, and strive to encounter God in deeper ways, to mention but a few. This year, we take a fresh look at the idea of taking nations for Christ. This is because we are convinced that taking nations is a goal worth striving for. But a few questions to confront are: First, what does nations represent? Second, how do we take nations for Christ? Lastly, why must we take nations for Christ. _What nations represent_ 1. Nations represent men, especially men of substance. See what God said to Rebekah, Isaac's wife when she was pregnant of twins. *And the LORD said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger.* (Genesis 25:23 (KJV)) Men are also nations in the eyes of God. 2. Nations represent territories. This flows from the first meaning of nations. Men over see territories. So therefore nations also refers to territories. 3. Nations also refer to influence & affluence (or dominion) Because men command influence and affluence, nations also represent that. That's why the scripture says God will give us nations as an inheritance. Thus it includes everything men can possess, including having dominion. 4. Nations also represent states and countries. This also flows from whatever a man can control or possess. So when you consider the idea of taking nations, be fully aware of what we are contemplating. *DAILY DEW 31/DECEMBER/2022* *THE DEMANDS OF GROWTH* _Key Bible Text:_ *"But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me."* (1 Corinthians 15:10 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ You won't commit to a local church for the necessary devotions, commitment and accountability that will guarantee proper and solid spiritual development, but you are looking for mentors and fathers on social media. ko le work. You desire growth, repent and devote yourself to 1. Fellowship. 2. Prayers. 3. The small groups in your church, e.g. your unit, Bible study group, Sunday School group, etc 4. Take delivery of the doctrines of your local church. Get MP3s. Take training and classes. When you miss a meeting, get the recording and hear it over and over. 5. Join a service group in your local church. Don't just be a 'member' be a worker! 6. Start soulwinning, and make it your goal to always bring one person to church every Sunday. 7. Become fully subscribed to the financial stewardship practiced in your church, and be faithful to it. With a good library added to the above and the great instructors in the body of Christ, you will have no need for a Zuckerberg Zaddy. Instructors abound to supply what's lacking in your local church assembly, stop floating around. Everything I know about faith, the supernatural, healing, etc didn't come from my local church. I got them from instructors, but my church raised me in integrity, living right, accountability, and walking in righteousness. *Uprooting yourself from the local church for every small itch is unspiritual, and unscriptural. Take roots and blossom where God planted you.* The Bible says God has placed every member of the family in the body as it pleased him. Some of us in a big church will be lost and never achieve height and stature, while others in a small church will not. Devoting yourself and giving 100% commitment to your local church will change your worship experience. Get a print Bible, a jotter, and a pen, listen to your Pastor teach, taking notes, and you will find you have been taking one of the finest teachers for granted all this while because while he taught, you were fumbling with your phone and posting nonsense on social media. Sing and dance during the praise session next Sunday during the worship, and you will find your church praise team is better than you thought. You are suffering from irreverence. It takes a level of reverence to have fellowship with God. Going to the airport and taking a flight are two different things. There was a time you used to share the gospel on your street, but now you don't want trouble? Guess who's glad? Definitely not God! You used to share the truth on your social media accounts but now it's all about politics? All about business? You don't want to be seen as a Jesus boy, just a business guy, tech person, football enthusiast, etc. Who gave you such ideas? Who says the gospel has to take the back seat for these ideologies???! Why not just create a business page exclusively for business or whatever while still talking Jesus loudly in your personal space even as you share your business? Keep preaching, keep teaching. Be known as an ambassador for Christ. Wear the badge of the UNSHAMED! If there's ever a time we need to be loud with the gospel, IT IS NOW!
