Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows."* (Matthew 10:29-31 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ If they know you are getting married, they will make sure it is not successful so you keep quiet... If they know you are planning to travel out, your plane will crash, so you get there before letting them know... If they know you are pregnant, the will suck it out, so you give birth before you let them know... If they know you are about to venture into a profitable business, they will stop it, so you start it first before they get to know... Who are these people that have such powers to stop a wedding but cannot scatter marriage; powerful enough to crash your plane but cannot make them deport you? So evil they can suck out the pregnancy but cannot touch the baby when born? They can stop you from starting a business but cannot collapse it? STOP LIVING IN CRINGING SERVITUDE TO SATAN AND THOSE YIELDED TO HIM! There are other reasons to keep such details of your life - being conservative, or just prefer that things mature first, etc, but the fear of 'village people' should not be one of them! *DAILY DEW 24/NOVEMBER/2022* *HOW "THEY" STOLE THE CHURCH FROM "US"* _Key Bible Text:_ *"For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil."* (Hebrews 5:13-14 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ First, they divided us into clergy and laity Jesus never commanded segregation or authorised any such division He only gave gifts to men as He wills And fruit whereby men may be ranked Then they divided the clergy into further classes And into many more classes With titles and tankards But especially with unequal pay for equal work They created certificates and graded them They established institutions And awarded papers of distinctions Then rewarded men based on the papers They created denominations among men With it erected bars amongst us They imposed sectional rules And taught us segregation bases on names Among the laity, they flatter some by giving them special titles Leaving something to aspire to by the rest of the multitudes It is no longer God who wills Or His Christ who baptises Or the Spirit who gifts It is now men who appoint and anoint We are strangers in our own home We have been excluded for life From the affairs of our Father’s enterprise We are infants for life They are rulers for life When the Owner comes He will whip the temple managers And scatter their ecclesiastical wares He will set aside this order And release His Spirit afresh To a new generation Come, Holy Spirit! *DAILY DEW 23/NOVEMBER/2022* *TO BE PURE IN HEART IS THE HEART OF THE MATTER* _Key Bible Text:_ *"Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God."* (Matthew 5:8 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ Jesus made tough demands on those who wish to see God! If you are grown up, even if you are only eight years old, you will understand that it is humanly impossible to be pure in heart. If we want to see God, that is enter into His Kingdom, we have to be pure in HEART. I am not necessarily speaking of sexual immorality although it is a very serious matter. Sexual impurity in thoughts starts to afflict some people from their early teen age, and the rest from the middle teen age to their grave. It is a sin with a tenacious hold on its victims. Where it cannot soil them on the outwards, it will reside and possess the inside—the heart. I am focussed on anger in the heart, bitterness in the heart, pride in the heart, evil thoughts in the heart, vengeance in the heart, scorn and disdain in the heart, hate in the heart, prejudiice in the heart, cheating in the heart, assault and even murder in the heart, and envy, jealousy and theft, all in the heart. What can a person do considering that only the pure in heart shall see God (Matt. 5:8)? The heart is hidden yet so delicate that it can attract and keep impureness for a life without being detected by an outsider. It is deceitful and desperately wickedness. Though outsider may not see the heart or know what is going on there, God sees it clearly! So, Jesus shed His blood to wash clean our indelibly dirty heart. After washing, our heart sparkles! Halleluiah! But then, the devil roams about with his filth and dirt buckets, seeking whom to dirty. And, oh, how easily it is to get dirty in heart! A sight, a word, a thought could dirty our hearts. We seem so vulnerable, yet God demands purity of the heart. 2 Corinthians 7:1 says we should cleanse ourselves of ALL filthiness of the flesh and of the SPIRIT. James 1:21 says we must lay aside ALL filthiness for God has not called us unto uncleanliness but unto holiness (1 Thess. 4:7). So, we’ve got a job to do. We need to watch over our heart. We need to build a fence and a filter over our heart. We need to infuse it with the Spirit, immerse it in the Word and constantly sprinkle it with the Blood. Should any atom of uncleanness sip in, we should immediately isolate it, and flush it out. The need for purity is uncompromising. We want to see God; don’t we? _MEDITATION:_ *To keep a sparkling white cloth clean in a filthy environment requires being intentional and vigilant. The Word says, "Take heed to yourself..." It tells us to be "watchful and sober" and to "watch and pray". Self-discipline is the most important feature in any life. Unless you put yourself under mental discipline, you will never develop the forces in you that are valuable to the commercial world. Rule your temper so that no matter what happens, what is said or done, your temper will be under absolute control. The man who does not rule his temper can never achieve the success that belongs to him. He destroys the building that he erects. Govern your tongue, so that it will say nothing that will injure anyone around you. Practically all the injury that is done to a character, to a business, a home, or a person, is done with words. It is tongue work. The man or woman who makes no contribution to destructive thought and talk is a valuable asset anywhere. He is deaf to anything that is destructive to another. He is blind to anything that folks around him do. He cannot speak of it. He has mastery of himself. The efficiency of an office force is reduced sometimes 50 per cent by idle, unkind words. The man who can govern his temper, his tongue and his appetite, though he has but mediocre ability, is bound to get to the top. Gaining the mastery of these will be among your first real victories. _MEDITATION:_ *It is controlled power that is valuable. That waterfall is simply beautiful. *DAILY DEW 20/NOVEMBER/2022* *CHURCH LEADERSHIP SELECTION* _Key Bible Text:_ *"And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, shew whether of these two thou hast chosen, That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place. And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles."* (Acts 1:24-26 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ My Church had an election last week to choose our National leaders, it was a greatly successful exercise as all the people chosen are dependable, reliable and able under God's leading. Even it's through other methods, we may end up with almost the same team. I've since seen a lot of arguments on why a church should choose spiritual leaders through election, adjudged by some as carnal methodology. What God does is that He appoint leaders! Whichever method a church adopted to get this done is left with the church after Prayers. There's no hard and fast rule in this. God specifically made Adam and Eve, that didn't stop the Devil from shifting them! He audibly and physically related with Abraham, that didn't prevent Ishmael saga! He dramatically called Moses, but that didn't prevent the smitten of the Rock. Saul divinely became king, following the people's demand, but Saul still failed. No record of God calling Daniel, Shedrack, Meshach and Abednego, but they succeeded! Both Hezekiah and Ahab were Kings in Israel, their outcomes differ. In the New Testament, Judas was not chosen via election! The Lord chose him after prayers through the night. Stephen and Philip were selected by men! However, they were better than Judas, chosen directly by Christ himself. My argument is that it's not the method that is the problem, it's the person's involved. I know churches that chose through prophesy, vision, and revelation. Others choose based on experience and years of service, others do theirs through biological relationship. Whichever way, all that matters is for God to be glorified. Jesus chose siblings! If it's today, it will be misunderstood. The next Church leader after Jesus was his brother James! Who was still an unbeliever when Peter and co were already apostles! If it's today, social media will be on fire. _MEDITATION:_ *Brethren, we all can't use the same method.
