*DAILY DEW 24/NOVEMBER/2022* *HOW "THEY" STOLE THE CHURCH FROM "US"* _Key Bible Text:_ *"For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil."* (Hebrews 5:13-14 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ First, they divided us into clergy and laity Jesus never commanded segregation or authorised any such division He only gave gifts to men as He wills And fruit whereby men may be ranked Then they divided the clergy into further classes And into many more classes With titles and tankards But especially with unequal pay for equal work They created certificates and graded them They established institutions And awarded papers of distinctions Then rewarded men based on the papers They created denominations among men With it erected bars amongst us They imposed sectional rules And taught us segregation bases on names Among the laity, they flatter some by giving them special titles Leaving something to aspire to by the rest of the multitudes It is no longer God who wills Or His Christ who baptises Or the Spirit who gifts It is now men who appoint and anoint We are strangers in our own home We have been excluded for life From the affairs of our Father’s enterprise We are infants for life They are rulers for life When the Owner comes He will whip the temple managers And scatter their ecclesiastical wares He will set aside this order And release His Spirit afresh To a new generation Come, Holy Spirit!
