*DAILY DEW 3RD/NOVEMBER/2021* *Warning Against Oppression* _Key Bible Text:_ *Indeed the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you kept back by fraud, cry out; and the cries of the reapers have reached the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth.* (James 5:4 (NKJV)) _Bible Insight:_ The Bible is not against the rich or those with means. 1 Timothy 6:10 says the love of money is the root of all evil. Money is not the issue but our heart that uses money to promote ourselves and oppress others is the issue. The Bible warns us against this heart posture which results in selfishness. How do I know if I have this attitude? How I use my money and how I treat others reveals my heart. Everything we have is a gift from God. It is because of His grace and divine providence. How we look at our possessions and money influences how we live. If you understand everything is a gift from God, it results in being generous, sacrificial, content and being a good steward. On the other hand, if you think you have earned what you have, if you view that what you have is because of your hard work and achievement, then you become ruthless with money (v.4). In our culture we see people hold out on payments for workers, be stingy with their tips, be calculating with change when dealing with the poor, not sharing resources and under paying people. The rewards we work for in this world using our strength are no match for the eternal glorious reward that Christ gives. How is it possible to access this imperishable reward? There is no way we can work and earn this reward. This reward is earned by the perfect life of Jesus and His perfect sacrifice on the cross. And this is for those who put their faith in Christ as the One who rewards them instead of seeking their own trophies in this world _MEDITATION:_ *What is your attitude with regard to your money and possessions? *DAILY DEW 27TH/ OCTOBER/2021* *ENFORCING THE KINGDOM OF GOD* _Key Bible Text:_ *"For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost."* (Romans.14.17(KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ God is good and His mercy endures forever. He has a great plan for all His creation, especially man. God is still mindful of everyone here on earth. Psalms.8.4 (KJV), says *What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?* He is still faithful to His word that He does not want anyone to perish but that all should come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9). Indeed, the Kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. However, it appears that we see or find the opposite of this today. A lot of people are more subject to the devil than they are to God. *This is must become our prayer today: "Oh Lord, let Your kingdom come!"* There is work to be done. There is a provision to enforce the kingdom of God here on earth which also implies to set the world right. To enforce the kingdom of God here on earth can only be achieved through the power of God in you when you receive Him. John.1.12 (KJV) says *But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name* Accepting Christ and having His power in you is not for enjoyment alone. It is to enforce His kingdom here on earth. He has given us power that is above every other power. The power of the Lord in you is to enforce the kingdom of God, exercise the power of God in you through studying and digging deep into His Word and applying it to your daily activities. This will foster the presence of God that you carry and this in turn will be a blessing to you and your generation. Enforce the kingdom of God and let the devil be in trouble and confusion because you received Christ. Stand for holiness, righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. The name of the Lord is a strong tower, the righteous run into Him and they are safe. *DAILY DEW 13TH/OCTOBER/2021* *KEEPING THE BODY BALANCED* _Key Bible Text:_ *Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.* (Matthew 13:52 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ *The Old & New Testament Have Treasures for the New Creation Man* A lot of times we believers ruled out certain things in the name of it is under the Old Testament. Some go as far as wrongly including the idea that tithe is for Old Testament. Granted that certain things do not apply under the New Testament, for example, you don't need any intermediary priest to ask for God's forgiveness. However, there are certain teachings that align both in the New and Old Testament and these must be richly discerned and taught. Striving to get a balance in the body of Christ can only be achieved when doctrines and teachings align. A lot of division and confusion breeds in the body of Christ because many believers fail to take time to study the word, rather than accept man made commandments and traditions passed down as true doctrines. To keep balance in the body of Christ, we must keep balance in the doctrines of Christ as understood and taught by believers We are going to consider two major ideas/teachings that are very relevant to the believer even in this Holy Spirit Era. The first is the teaching about the wrath of God vs the love of God. The second is related, but different, that is, the love of God vs the fear of God. God willing, we shall receive more light as we look at these two together. While we are at it, would you agree that the Love of God is the only factor that leads men to salvation? Or do you think apart from the love of God, an understanding of the wrath of God is key if an individual would be receptive to the Gospel? It will not be like the covenant that I made with their ancestors on the day I took them by the hand and led them out of Egypt. They were not faithful to the covenant I made with them, and so I paid no attention to them."* *Now, this is the covenant that I will make with the people of Israel in the days to come, says the Lord: I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.* *None of them will have to teach their friends or tell their neighbors, 'Know the Lord.' For they will all know me, from the least to the greatest. I will forgive their sins and will no longer remember their wrongs.* By speaking of a new covenant, God has made the first one old; and anything that becomes old and worn out will soon disappear. *DAILY DEW 29TH/SEPTEMBER/2021* *Before The Cross: We Are Humbled* _Key Bible Text:_ *“And being found in human form, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.”* – (Philippians 2:8) _Bible Insight:_ Jesus is our ultimate example of humility. As we are sinful, find forgiveness through Jesus, and become disciples, it’s an easy temptation to become prideful in the process. Satan would love nothing more than for God’s children to walk around prideful. God opposes the proud, and gives grace to the humble. Yes, it’s true that we are forgiven through Christ, but that doesn’t give us a free pass to do anything we want. Likewise, it doesn’t mean that we know it all and that we can look down on others or slander those who reject the Word of God. If we look to the cross, we see how we can exercise humility towards others. We can avoid pride and love others despite their actions towards us because of Jesus’ love towards us despite our actions towards Him. We are still sometimes sinful and still fall short every other day as believers at times (which makes the cross that much bigger), so we have no right to be prideful towards others or to God.
