*Forgiveness & Faith*
_Key Bible Text:_
*Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.* (James 5:16 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
If you are trusting God for healing, asides from praying, there are three things you should do:
1. Forgive offences.
Even though you can be healed even when in unforgiveness, it is a door that will open a man up to demonic attacks. And it has the potential to hinder faith.
2. Keep your focus on the Word of God, especially as pertaining to healing.
Stop paying attention to your condition. Satan is an attention seeker! Faith or doubt is fed through focus. And it takes faith to possess your healing.
3. Hang around people who believe in healing. Their faith is contagious, and they carry an atmosphere for healing.
You don't want to be around people who talk down on healing or the miraculous. They will corrupt whatever faith you have if you listen to them long enough.
*MEDITATION:*
*Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.* (1 Peter 2:24 (KJV))

*The Fundamentals of the Faith* (III)
_Key Bible Text:_
*Of the DOCTRINE OF BAPTISMS, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.* (Hebrews 6:2 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
It seems a lot have changed about how water baptism is being taught and practiced. We are safe to assume that the baptism which Hebrews 6:2 refers to, is water baptism and not Holy Spirit baptism. This is because Hebrews 6:4 places the subject of the Holy Spirit as among the matters of teachings or pursuit of perfection.
Water baptism have been debated along different lines. One of them is whether it should be by immersion or not. Children are also claimed to be baptized at birth. The scriptures is sufficiently clear as to the place and purpose of water baptism. First, there is no doubt that Jesus himself submitted, preached and practiced full immersion water baptism. This should lay to rest any controversy whether it should be ideally by immersion or not.
Furthermore, all through scriptures, water baptism followed almost immediately one decides to place their faith in God, and have repented from dead works of sin. The ordering of these three -- repentance, faith and baptism is certainly sequential. Baptism is signifying that the believer have passed through death of Christ and have reason to a newness of life. And we must remember that there were no baptismal classes back in the 1st century church.
Have you been baptized since you started following Christ?
*MEDITATION:*
*Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.* (Romans 6:4 (KJV))

*LEARNED OBEDIENCE*
_Key Bible Text:_
*Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered* (Hebrews 5:8 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
If Jesus 'suffered' to learn obedience, imagine how much 'suffering' we would need to undertake to unlearn disobedience and learn obedience? If the one who knew no sin, the one who was without sin, the one true God who came in human form, needed suffering to learn obedience, we really need to understand and undertake this obedience-commanding suffering.
In understanding this suffering, we must refer to the context. The verse before this, stated how Jesus "offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared". This definitely points to one of the things he suffered. It is instructive to note that the trials and suffering Jesus faced, proved his obedience. Obedience is not confirmed in isolation or in a vacuum.
Commands, disciplines, instructions when obeyed and submitted to, reveals obedience. Those who jeered at Jesus, called him names, tested his patience, tried to get him offended, spat on him, ridiculed him, etc were all instrumental to the sufferings of Jesus. These helped him to learn and ultimately proved his obedience to the father. Finally, the fact that He needed to set aside his own will, for the Father's as he prayed, "O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt." (Matthew 26:39 (KJV))

*FEAR SEEKS HELP* (II)
_Key Bible Text:_
*"Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared"* (Hebrews 5:7 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
Chapter five of Hebrews, skillfully compared the High Priesthood of Jesus with that of Melchizedek. In verse 7, it stated that when Jesus was in the flesh, he offered prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death. This passage could have stopped. Instead, it added, Jesus was heard in that he feared. Wow. Jesus feared!? Yes. And for that, He was heard!
Let's back-track. Where or when did Jesus offer such prayers and strong crying? Luke 22:42-44 provides this information, particularly Luke 22:44 (KJV): *"And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground."*
It is vital that when we see things that cause us to fear, we take the matter to the one who can help us. If Jesus did this, we too must do likewise. Positive fear or positive response to fear is never giving up simply because of fear but taking the matter to God in prayers and trusting God to provide solution.
*MEDITATION:*
*In the days of His flesh [Jesus] offered up definite, special petitions [for that which He not only wanted but needed] and supplications with strong crying and tears to Him Who was [always] able to save Him [out] from death, and He was heard because of His reverence toward God [His godly fear, His piety, in that He shrank from the horrors of separation from the bright presence of the Father].* (Hebrews 5:7 (AMP))
