*DAILY DEW 3/MAY/2022* *NEW BREED BIRTH NEW BREED* (II) _Key Bible Text:_ *"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."* (Ephesians 2:8-10 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ *"Christ is all, and in all"* Hence, the New Breed must be all about Him-- to know Him and to Make Him Known! We conclude with the verses that come after 2 Corinthians 5:17. *"But all things are of God, who has made us at peace with himself through Christ, and has given to us the work of making peace;"* (2 Corinthians 5:18) See that! See that! "All things" includes you and I. We are restored to new fellowship and a new relationship in Christ! But that isn't all there is. It says *"and has given to us the work of making peace"* The work of making peace is to MAKE JESUS KNOWN, even as we have come to know Him! *"That is, that God was in Christ making peace between the world and himself, not putting their sins to their account, and having given to us the preaching of this news of peace."* (2 Corinthians 5:19) God in Christ, Christ in Us! This chain of responsibilities is key! We are linked to Christ, by this responsibility. God was in Christ making peace, thus, saving us, making us New Breed! And Christ is also in Us, or a part of us, for the same purpose-- for us to also make peace with others even as God in Christ made peace with us! _MEDITATION:_ *"So we are the representatives of Christ, as if God was making a request to you through us: we make our request to you, in the name of Christ, be at peace with God. *DAILY DEW 26/APRIL/2022* *The Church in Nigeria and the 'emergence' of GEN Z* (II) _Key Bible Text:_ *"These people always cause trouble. Their minds are corrupt, and they have turned their backs on the truth. To them, a show of godliness is just a way to become wealthy. Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth."* (1 Timothy 6:5-6 (NLT)) _Bible Insight:_ Then came the GEN X (1965-1980), this was the generation that began to witness a deafening emphasis on material prosperity as the sign of being born again and knowing God in the mid 80s. By the late 80s, things had escalated so quickly. This is why, when you listen to anyone in any of the three generations above, you can readily hear them lamenting on how church is now worldly and is about money and fame. They were right in the middle of the beginning of that decline. Most of them haven't left the church. Why? They are very hopeful that things will change because they've witnessed some level of sanity in the church before. They know what we are doing today isn't exactly what they had. They didn't know all the truths, but they weren't as materialistic and they contended for the power of God and a need to live godly, while emphasising bible reading. They prayed a lot and read their bibles, of course with special interest in the psalms of David. *DAILY DEW 19/APRIL/2022* *PUTTING EASTER INTO PERSPECTIVE* (II) _Key Bible Text:_ *"All I want is to know Christ and the power that raised him to life. I want to suffer and die as he did, so that somehow I also may be raised to life."* (Philippians 3:10-11 (CEV)) _Bible Insight:_ The power of Jesus' resurrection was profoundly expressed by the evidence of the empty tomb, and the appearance of angels gallantly seated on the tomb, declaring:- *"And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you."* -- Matthew 28:5-7 (KJV) If Paul the Apostle was determined to know Christ and the power that raised Christ from the dead, we would never make spiritual maturity unless and until we do likewise. However, the more important point is that there is need NOT only to know Jesus but to KNOW the power of His resurrection. To belong to Christ without an understanding and experience of the resurrection power is to live a substandard Christian life. *DAILY DEW 12/APRIL/2022* *ARE YOU A SOLUTION OR THE PROBLEM?* (III) _Key Bible Text:_ *"You are the light of the world. A town put on a hill may be seen by all. And a burning light is not put under a vessel, but on its table; so that its rays may be shining on all who are in the house. Even so let your light be shining before men, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven."* (Matthew 5:14-16 (BBE)) _Bible Insight:_ Pastors are not going to change the situation of anything by doing what YOU are supposed to do. You in the office You in entertainment You in government You in IT You in the association You in the market place You in the civil service You in fashion You in politics You at home If you call yourself a child of God. It is not what we do on Sundays that is killing the nation, but what you do from Monday to Friday! Of course, if a pastor has committed a crime against society, he or she should be handed over to the authorities without long talk. But don't be found among those who have so much excitement when there is negative news about God's people. Let this be your principle, if you are a Christian: if something, anything at all, on the news or in your circle, bothers you... *Pray. Talk to the Father about it. Ask Him to help His church and remove the bad eggs and heal the sick fellows. Ask Him to fill your heart with His love and compassion for all men especially those of the household of faith, and to fill your mind with His causes, missions, & purposes. *DAILY DEW 5TH/APRIL/2022* *Be PURPOSE-DRIVEN* (IV) _Key Bible Text:_ *"For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal."* (2 Corinthians 4:17-18 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ Learn from Jesus – He knows clearly the Father’s will – (1) PRAY AND SEEK WISE COUNSEL FROM ABOVE. Discuss with your spouse, family members – get advice, know what you need to do at this stage of your life. (2) PLAN AND PRIORITIZE. You need to plan. Jesus did not choose to go with His disciples. He got a quiet place and a one-on-one conversation with the woman. He started talking about water, because that’s what the woman was out to get. And Jesus gave her the “living water”. Prioritize and you will be able to DO and FINISH the works God has entrusted you. Lastly… 3. Live Your Life With A Godly PASSION The disciples urged Jesus, “Rabbi, eat something.” (4:31) Jesus said, “I have food to eat that you know nothing about.” When he sat down at the well, he was weary, and needed refreshment; but this opportunity of saving souls made him forgets his weariness and hunger. He ought to be thinking about food. The disciples have to urge him to eat. _MEDITATION:_ *"The disciples were interested in food. They went into the village to get food. They came back with it. The Lord was consumed with love for lost souls.
