*BE PRODUCTIVE*
_Key Bible Text:_
*God blesses the soil which drinks in the rain that often falls on it and which grows plants that are useful to those for whom it is cultivated. But if it grows thorns and weeds, it is worth nothing; it is in danger of being cursed by God and will be destroyed by fire.*
(Hebrews 6:7-8 (GNB))
_Bible Insight:_
GOD blesses the soil that drinks rain and grows useful plants to be cultivated. In other words, the rain that God freely sends is expected to be properly utilized for growth and impact.
However, on the contrary, should the soil fail to utilize the rain to produce growth and bear useful plants, it would suffer. Any soil that produces thorns and weeds will be in danger of being cursed and destroyed by fire. Men actually pluck out weeds and thorns, and gather them to be burned.
In the parable of the sower, remember that the ground or soil represents humans or souls. When you receive the seed of God's word, God expects growth. Likewise, when you receive rain from God, God expects productivity.
What are you doing with God's rain of health, healing, life, goodness, favour, mercies, opportunities?
MEDITATION:
*But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.* (Matthew 13:23 (KJV))

*CONTROLLED ANGER*
_Key Bible Text:_
*Fools vent their anger, but the wise quietly hold it back.*
(Proverbs 29:11 (NLT))
_Bible Insight:_
Many people think that all anger is sinful, but that’s not true. Anger only becomes sin when it is expressed in an inappropriate way.
Sometimes the most appropriate response to a situation is anger. It can even be an expression of love. In fact, the Bible says God gets righteously angry, and the only reason you're able to experience anger is because you're created in his image.
But there is such a thing as sinful anger. This is when we blow up or clam up. It’s when we threaten, insult, or belittle someone.
While mismanaged anger is a sin, managed anger is an asset because it gives you a clear-headed view of the situation and allows you to respond with God’s love—even if you’ve been wronged.
Because God is for you and not against you, he gives you the ability to choose how to handle your anger. With the Holy Spirit working within you, you can choose a healthy response.
Have you ever been in a heated argument at home, and the phone rang and you answered it by sweetly saying, "Hello"? What just happened? You were able to change your tone instantly because you wanted to.
Proverbs 29:11 says, "Fools vent their anger, but the wise quietly hold it back" (NLT).
Choosing to get angry is just that—a choice. You’ve probably said at some point, "You make me so mad!" But nobody can control your emotions without your permission. *You can decide beforehand how you will respond and manage your anger.*
Your relationship with Christ will determine how well you master the anger in your life. Even in a crisis, in the most difficult of situations, you can manage your anger with God's love inside you.
*And when anger is managed wisely and appropriately, it produces great marriages, great friendships, great businesses, great leaders, and great progress*
MEDITATION:
*Right now, think of ways you could manage yourself whenever you're angry*

*SURRENDER WHAT YOU CAN'T CONTROL*
_Key Bible Text:_
*You see, his faith and his actions worked together. His actions made his faith complete.*
(James 2:22 (NLT))
_Bible Insight:_
To make it through times of crisis with your emotional health intact, you’ll need to learn how to control what's controllable and trust God for the rest.
God is active in your mental, spiritual, and emotional health. He wants you to make wise choices based on his guidance from the Bible and through prayer.
And then, when you encounter something out of your control, you can surrender it to God and trust him to work it out for good.
There is a great example of this in the Bible with Abraham: "You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did" (James 2:22 NIV).
It's easy to go to extremes with this. For instance, you can say it’s all up to God and become passive to the point where you do nothing. On the other hand, you can act like God doesn't play a part in your life and assume everything depends on you. *Both extremes are wrong.*
Maintaining good physical health, for example, is about balance. The same is true with emotional health. Find a balance that helps you recognize what’s in your control, and then make wise decisions based on God’s guidance as you read His Word and talk to him in prayer. And, learn to let go of those things that only God can handle.
There are a lot of things in your life you can’t control. You can't control what happens during a pandemic or crisis, and how the government and other people handle it.
*You can't control the circumstances of life, but you can choose how you will respond—and that will make all the difference.* God is always there to help you make that choice.
MEDITATION:
*What are the uncontrollable things in your life that have caused you stress because you’ve been trying to control them?*
*Why not hand them over to God today?*

*DAILY DEW 28TH/JULY/2021*
*REACH A POINT OF NO RETURN* (III)
_Key Bible Text:_
*And then they abandoned their faith! It is impossible to bring them back to repent again, because they are again crucifying the Son of God and exposing him to public shame.* (Hebrews 6:6 (GNB))
_Bible Insight:_
After knowing or experiencing the following basic teachings:- 1) principles of the doctrine of Christ; 2) the foundation of repentance from dead works; 3) faith toward God; 4) the doctrine of baptisms; 5) laying on of hands; 6) resurrection of the dead; 7) eternal judgment. You actually move to the more deeper teachings, namely: 1) being enlightened in the things of God (i.e. receiving light in the ways of God); 2) tasted of the heavenly gift; 3) made partakers of the Holy Ghost; 4) tasted the good word of God; and 5) the powers of the world to come.
These are depths that once a believer reaches ought to continue in its realities and practice. By so doing, falling away from the faith becomes impossible. It is only when a believer does not appreciate these aspects of the faith (i.e. both the fundamental and the deeper principles) that falling away becomes possible.
Also a believer does not just simply attain these aspects but continuously grows in them and daily practices its implications and realities. Being enlightened in the word for instance, is not a one-of thing. We daily grow in the light of God's word. Likewise experiencing the powers of the age should come, shouldn't be one-of. There is no way a believer will key into these that he would ever find himself looking back or crucifying Christ again.
*MEDITATION:*
*And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.!* (2 Peter 1:5-8 (KJV))

*DAILY DEW 27TH/JULY/2021*
*REACH A POINT OF NO RETURN* (II)
_Key Bible Text:_
*They knew from experience that God's word is good, and they had felt the powers of the coming age.* (Hebrews 6:5 (GNB))
_Bible Insight:_
How do you get to know from experience that God's word is good? By holding on to it and seeing it come out as true and reliable. God's word when put to the test and it turns out to be true, is the best experience ever. I have tasted of the goodness of the word. I have held onto God's word, and it has not turned out to be anything but disappointing. That's the most exciting experience. It is not an experience to have and yet turn away from God.
In the same vain, believer here in time have experienced the powers of the age to come. The age to come refers to the life hereafter. It is a wonderful thing experiencing that power of the life hereafter right here on earth. Imagine receiving the dead back to life? Or watching a deaf receive their hearing or a lame recover their walking? Indeed, several times, God shows us the power of the age to come.
How do we get to see and know these and still turn away from the faith? Only those who have chronic doubt or are deceived by the devil will allow such. Indeed, it is almost impossible to have the light of God, have the gift of heaven, share partnership with the Holy Ghost, experience the goodness of God's word and the power of the coming age and still walk away from God.
Instead, we press in...
