*HOLDING ON* (II)
_Key Bible Text:_
*Let us hold on firmly to the hope we profess, because we can trust God to keep his promise.* (Hebrews 10:23 (GNB))
_Bible Insight:_
We can trust God to keep His promises. Christ does not stand as the High Priest over the house of God in vain. He stands for us and not against us. He makes intercessions for us and that's why He asked us to come boldly before Him. He asks us to hold firmly to the hope we profess because we can trust Him to keep His Promises.
Hope and faith are the vital forces that keeps us following God. They also are the means by which we don't lose confidence in God. On the other hand, God is too faithful to falter and disappoint us. He is not a man. When He makes a promise, He moves heaven and earth to connive and bring to fruitfulness that which He has promised. He is that powerful. Hallelujah!
That which you are trusting God for this year, can still happen. That prayer request will be answered, that hope you are hanging unto, as far as it is rooted in God, you will not be disappointed. God has got your back. He is for you. He is not against you. He didn't fail Noah. Noah worked hard building an Ark when he & his generation has never seen rain before. God's word came through. The non-stop rain began and Noah and His family were preserved in the end. Abraham trusted God, and today he still stands as one of the foremost Fathers of Faith.
Dearly Beloved, keep holding on!
_MEDITATION:_
*"God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord."* (1 Corinthians 1:9 (KJV))
*Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.* (1 Thessalonians 5:24 (KJV))

*HOLDING ON*
_Key Bible Text:_
*Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)* (Hebrews 10:23 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
The times when we live in, it is not just enough to start a good cause. Holding on till the end is the ultimate proof of success. When we come to the Knowledge of Christ, it is not a one time decision. We must continue to press on, we must continue to abide, and we must continue to follow hard after Christ. Following Christ sincerely is like moving against the tides, and only those who hold fast without wavering, will be able to survive the host of temptations and distractions without caving in.
Hebrews 10 verse 21 began by reminding us that we have a great high priest over the house of God. For which reason, verse 22 calls us to draw near with a true heart fully assured and our hearts and bodies washed with pure water. We have explained these previously. However, we are also called upon to hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering.
For anything God calls our attention to, there is a reason. Looking critically at the way the world is today, (just as the Word of God has earlier prophesied should be) if we must succeed as believers, we must apply both verse 22 of Hebrews 10 and verse 23. There are certain things to be understood of this charge in verse 23.
Amplified version of Hebrews 10:23, says *"So let us seize and hold fast and retain without wavering the hope we cherish and confess and our acknowledgement of it, for He Who promised is reliable (sure) and faithful to His word."*
As we can see, what King James version calls "Faith", Amplified calls "Hope". Using the two words interchangeably in this context does not remove the meaning but rather adds to the meaning as we shall see later.

*DAILY DEW 11TH/NOVEMBER/2021*
*MODERATION*
_Key Bible Text:_
*Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances, (Touch not; taste not; handle not; Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men?* (Colossians 2:20-22 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
Dead religion: No hairdo. No make up. No weave-on. No curls. Cover hair. Shave hair. No trousers. Wear sac. Wear shawl. Wear coat. Look drab. Never "say cheese". No earrings. Dress must sweep ground. Just pray. No spray. No perfume. Just fume. No lace. Hard face. Look down. 'Holy' Frown.
Modern religion: Squint. Pucker. On fleek. Slay. Backside. Frontside. Sideside. Slay. Six packs. Beard gang. Pepper 'em gang. Slay. Earring, nosering, tongue-ring. Slay. Sag. Show boxers. You kill'd it. Slay. You've gad'it. Flaunt it. Gram it. Slay.
Christian faith: Your body? God's temple. It is not your palette. Your beauty should reflect His glory. And not your own pleasure. Don't call undue attention to yourself. Let modesty instead be your plain style; and make your smile your main signature. Be different. Be decent. Be serious. Be virtuous. Be sober. Be free.
_MEDITATION:_
*Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.* (Philippians 4:5 (KJV))

*DAILY DEW 10TH/NOVEMBER/2021*
*PURE WATER* (THE END)
_Key Bible Text:_
*In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.* (John 7:37-38 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
The essence of this teaching is to remind and explain to an extent the importance of the "pure water" that can positively impact our conscience and cleanse our bodies. Please understand that the washing of our bodies refers to the outward transformation of the acts of our bodies.
Thus it is vital to explore other significant usage of the word _water_ Water as already explained refers to the word of God that cleanses us by first ridding us of evil conscience and then helping us conduct ourselves in line with our renewed minds. However, there is more.
This then brings us to the very important *rivers of living water* By this reference, Jesus introduced a new symbolic meaning to the word, "water", that is, the Holy Spirit. (John 7:39). Notice that in John 7:39 where this direct connection was made between water and the Holy Spirit, there was need to make a clear reference that Jesus meant "rivers of living water" as a specific reference to the Holy Spirit.
Here there is a slight difference that can be inferred with the phrase "washing of water" and "rivers of living water". The former may be from a fixed source whereas the latter is from a moving source. The Holy Spirit indeed, is ever moving, transforming and discipling men.
Indeed, there is a relationship with water and the Holy Spirit. Looking at John 1:33 (KJV), which says *"And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost."* We can see that water baptism required total submergence of the individual. Likewise, the operation of the "rivers of living water", that is, the Holy Spirit, requires total yielded-ness and submergence or to be more accurate, submission.
When we approach our High Priest, we must come as we have been invited to do, but we must come with readiness to allow both the pure water of the water and living water of the Spirit to run their course through our lives. Otherwise, even if we come, we would not know any change or difference in us. This is why many who "come" to Christ, and even attend church, are still without any meaningful transformation!
_MEDITATION:_
*Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.* (Hebrews 3:12-13 (KJV))
