*EARTH-OCCUPYING & HEAVEN-BOUND* (II)
_Key Bible Text:_
*"But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed. Since all these things are thus to be dissolved, what sort of people ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness, _waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God,_ because of which the heavens will be set on fire and dissolved, and the heavenly bodies will melt as they burn!"* (2 Peter 3:10-12 (ESV))
_Bible Insight:_
Living heaven bound in a sin bound world, is the ultimate call for everyone who believes that Jesus came to save us from sin.
Prophetically, this present heaven and earth will not survive the coming judgment or apocalyptic end but ultimately we have a reassured and guaranteed hope of heaven.
While we are here, while time lasts, while there is breath in us, with our gaze on Christ and His soon return, we are challenged and called to live as Kingdom Agents, bringing God and his mandate on earth -- for this we are taught to pray, *"Your Kingdom Come, your will be done on earth as it is done in heaven!"*
We, you and I, all believers on earth, are the ones to bring about the will of God, the mind and move of heaven down here on earth. Not because we can salvage the earth from its pending doom but because we must win souls to Jesus Christ and save poor sinners from the coming doom.
As we with one voice proclaim the coming of the day of God, that is, as we prepare for His second coming, we are living a life of impact on earth. For Whatever heaven cannot tolerate must not be tolerated in and around our lives even here on earth!
_MEDITATION:_
*"But according to his promise we are waiting for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells."* -- 2 Peter 3:13 (ESV)

*THE WORD STILL WORKS* (III)
_Key Bible Text:_
*"For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle? So likewise ye, except ye utter by the tongue words easy to be understood, how shall it be known what is spoken? for ye shall speak into the air."* (1 Corinthians 14:8-9 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
Strange things are happening more and more everyday. Wars. Suffering. Wickedness. Inhumanity. Etc. And the only hope still remains JESUS.
Dear Believers; do education, do business, do politics, do entertainment, do socials; but above all DO JESUS. As it gets darker, shine brighter.
Pray for the world, and preach the gospel.
Whenever you meet people, make sure that even if you have no silver or gold, you can say
"Such as I have, give I unto you.....take salvation, take redemption, take justification, take love - God's love, take healing, take repentance, take transformation, take this holiness, take this light of life, take life"
Live for the kingdom.
Believe in the gospel.
Lift up Jesus.
He is the only hope of men.
Don't let anyone make you feel odd or bad or silly for going to church/Christ or talking about your church/Christ.
A little secret: those friends and colleagues who talk down church/Christ need it the most. Don't let them sway you with doubts. Bless them with faith.
_MEDITATION:_
*"When you walk into a real night club; prepare to be filled with fun, cigarette smoke, hard drugs, booze and hot music."*
•
*"And when you walk into a real church; prepare to be filled with grace, the living Word, the Holy Ghost and fire!"*

*THE WORD STILL WORKS* (II)
_Key Bible Text:_
*"Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves."* (James 1:21-22 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
Many people know what they ought to say NO to. The strength to say NO is the missing thing. This is where the Spirit's ability comes in by the word of God. By much study and prayers, we are made strong! Real strength!
FRANK TALK: See, if all you are learning in church is relationship vibes, money, building your business, strategies, you are in a secular institution disguised as church. It's sad to see believers who are so knowledgeable about the things of this life from the pulpit while being very ignorant of spiritual things. You have your bible, don't you? Just read the gospels, Matthew-John, and see if what you see there is similar to what you're learning at church.
Then read Acts-Revelation as well. These 'Jesusified' life coaches are the reasons why Muslims are attending our churches to learn about business, applauding these Pastors, while still maintaining that Jesus is not Lord. Twitter is filled with this show of shame! This is a very critical matter so forgive me if I sound critical. Any gospel that the unsaved receives without being saved is from a preacher who has lost the message.
_MEDITATION:_
*"The wealth of Christ to the believer CANNOT be the vanities of this life for all will pass way. His treasures are not fleeting, temporal, and transitory - they are eternal. They cannot be moth eaten or corrupted neither can they be stolen. They are heavenly and incorruptible and unfading - our inheritance in Christ! (1 Peter 1:3-5). Glory to God forever more!."*

*Faith Series: Samson- an unlikely man of Faith* (I)
_Key Bible Text:_
*"And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson... Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,"* (Hebrews 11:32-33 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
When one thinks of the great men of faith from the Bible one tends to think of Abraham, Noah, or Moses. The eleventh chapter of Hebrews, which many have referred to as the "Great Hall of Faith," includes these men and many others like them. Surprisingly, however, this list also includes the Old Testament judge, Samson.
One may ask, "Why is Samson included in this list of faithful men?" This is the same Samson who decided he wanted an evil Philistine woman, rather than a godly Israelite woman, for a wife (Judg. 14:1-3). This is the same man who, because he lost a bet with thirty men, killed and robbed thirty other men to pay-off his debt (14:12-19). He is the same judge of God's people who went in unto a harlot in Gaza (16:1, 2). This is the same Israelite that fell in love with a Philistine woman that tricked him into breaking his Nazarite vow (14:12-19). On the surface, it appears that he deserves to be on the list of "God's most unfaithful servants," rather than Hebrew's "great men of faith."
However, the Hebrew writer continues in Hebrews 11:33-34 to explain that the men mentioned in v. 32, including Samson, were men "who by faith conquered kingdoms, performed acts of righteousness, obtained promises, shut the mouths of lions, quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, from weakness were made strong, be-came mighty in war, put foreign armies to flight." This passage teaches that, despite his failings, Samson was a faithful man of God. A closer look at some of Samson's faithful acts reveals why the Holy Spirit included him in this list.
_MEDITATION:_
*"Have you seriously wondered why Samson was named among the heroes of Faith? Well, if you have not, you need to and if you have, why not take time to find out."*

*Faith Series: Barak, steps out in Faith* (II)
_Key Bible Text:_
*"And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets:"* (Hebrews 11:32 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
Submitting to God
The second part of Barak’s decision involved relying on God to deliver Sisera’s army—which was militarily stronger—into the hands of Israel (verses 3, 13, 15). And, since he insisted that Deborah come with him, he had to accept that Sisera would not die in battle but by the hand of a woman (verses 9, 22-23).
Barak took his men into battle and saw God deliver Sisera’s army to Israel. No man was left besides Sisera (verses 15-16).
Barak’s faith was shown in his willingness to follow God and not rely on Israel’s military strength.
Verses 15-23 tell the story of how Jael, the wife of Heber, killed Sisera. Two important verses that show God’s prophecy fulfilled are verses 22-23. They read:
“And then, as Barak pursued Sisera, Jael came out to meet him, and said to him, ‘Come, I will show you the man whom you seek.’ And when he went into her tent, there lay Sisera, dead with the peg in his temple. So on that day God subdued Jabin king of Canaan in the presence of the children of Israel.â€
The lesson
God alone delivered Sisera and his army into the hand of Israel, but the lesson of Barak’s faith is that God uses His people to do His will in the manner He sees fit. The prophecy He gave to Deborah was clear, and God was faithful to fulfill it. As His people, we submit to His will in faith, knowing that our reward is from Him and our faith is in part measured by our willingness to follow His instructions, no matter the challenge.
_MEDITATION:_
*"Revisiting the definition of faith given in Hebrews 11:1—“faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seenâ€â€”we see that the decision and resulting action of Barak are a prime example of the impact of faith in the lives of God’s people. Barak believed Deborah was delivering God’s message, and he submitted himself to God’s ultimate faithfulness to fulfill His prophecy."*
