*DAILY DEW 12TH/JUNE/2021* *LEARNED OBEDIENCE* (II) _Key Bible Text:_ *And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him* (Hebrews 5:9 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ Jesus passed under the tutelage of Mr Suffering to learn obedience. This therefore further qualified him, to become the perfect author of eternal salvation. Hallelujah. He was perfected under the disciplinary hands of Mr Suffering. This perfection, conferred on Christ the title of the author of eternal salvation. That is, salvation that is not made by man and not subject to time. Jesus "became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him." This is very key. Eternal salvation unto all them that obey Him. Eternal salvation to those that obey Jesus. This eternal salvation is not conferred on the disobedient. Jesus learned obedience and became the author of this salvation. *DAILY DEW 5TH/JULY/2021* *Hold Fast* _Key Bible Text:_ *But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.* (Hebrews 3:6 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ To "Hold fast" means to "remain tightly secured" as in the sentence, "the door held fast, obviously locked". To "hold fast" also means, "continue to believe in or adhere to an idea or principle." This example fits, "it is important that we hold fast to the word of God". In our key text for today, we find the statement, Christ is or was a son over His own house (not another's-- unlike Moses who was to watch over the house or ministry of God). Then the statement extends to this striking revelation: we are the house over which Christ oversees. The statement moves further, "if we hold fast the confidence" There is an "if" to salvation, my friend. If we don't hold fast, we would cease to be houses over which Christ superintendents. Christ will remain a house master but we won't be that house unless we keep holding fast. It is key for us, therefore, to remain steadfast in our convictions about the word. If we allow the world, it would water down our convictions with liberalism, feminism, and relativism. If we don't hold fast, we will slip fast. If we slip fast, we will lose out. But thank God, we are not of them that look back. Amen. *DAILY DEW 28TH/JUNE/2021* *PLAN TO SUCCEED* (II) _Key Bible Text:_ *God, who at sundry times and in divers manners SPAKE IN TIME PAST unto the fathers by the prophets, hath in these last days SPOKEN UNTO US BY HIS SON, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds* (Hebrews 1:1-2 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ The writer of Hebrews successfully emphasized the importance of following God's word in these last days. He skillfully argued how that God had been dealing with men by middlemen such as prophets and priests but now has showed Himself to men by revealing Himself in the person of His own son. You can doubt middlemen but never ever doubt His own son! To remind us the high standing of His son, he informs us that the Father had actually appointed the son as heir over all things. Not only that, without His son, this very world would never be in existence- all things was created through the Son. This is reemphasized in John, where the son was introduced as the WORD: *_In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him; and without HIM was not any thing made that was made._* John 1:1-3 (KJV) And just in case you are unsure if the Word was actually referring to the son, there is no need for uncertainty at all. John 1:14 (KJV) is apposite, *"And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth."* Beloved, if you truly understand that God in these last days is speaking through His Son, who is the Word, who is the heir of all things and the source of all that's created, you had better place the WORD where it should really be in your life-- your number one access and key to success! *DAILY DEW 21ST/JUNE/2021* *THE DESIRE OF OUR FATHER* _Key Bible Text:_ *Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;) That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.* (Ephesians 6:2-3 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ Fatherhood is not about bossing around. The man is the head, but he must also be the servant of all. True fathers fight for their family. They provide for, protect, and position their families for greater heights. I strongly believe that fathers are underrated. We go through a lot for our families, but are rarely recognized or praised. Fathers are built differently from mothers, and thus may not be able to handle certain pressures which mothers handle. But our intrinsic features equip us to be strong upholders of the integrity of our homes. Fathers are priceless! God has specially placed fathers in the home to instruct their families in the way of the Lord. This role must not be abandoned to the mothers. And just as women are made to be helpers to their husbands, HUSBANDS ARE BUILT TO BE HELPERS TO THEIR WIVES. It's not a one-sided affair. *DAILY DEW 7TH/JUNE/2021* *REDISCOVERING THE MESSAGE.* _Key Bible Text:_ *"Remove not the ancient landmark, which thy fathers have set."* (Proverbs 22:28 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ It's my opinion, that if we don't go back and study and I mean really study the early church, and read from early authors, we will lose critical concepts of God and the Church. Over time, emphasis change, even over the last one hundred years. Some truths can become lost. If you are only reading popular 21st Century American authors, you may be missing something extremely important to the Christian faith. Not considered "ancient" by any means, read Watchman Nee. Read "The Practice of the Presence of God" by Brother Lawrence. Read Dietrich Bonhoeffer. Read "The Dictionary of Early Christian Beliefs" by David Bercot. Read "A Glimpse at Early Christian Church Life" by Tertullian. Read "Polycarp's Letter to the Philippians & His Martyrdom". There are too many to name. But important truths are being lost. When is the last time you really heard a good message about God and His Holiness? When is the last time you heard about the fear of God? The 21st Century message is MUCH different than it was in the first and second centuries. Even over the past century. Before, the heavy focus was on God. Now it's on ourselves. I'm telling you, the message has changed. Take some time and reacquaint yourself with the messages of old. Discover what's been lost over time. You will be amazed. *MEDITATION:* *But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
