*DAILY DEW 14TH/FEBRUARY/2022* *Faith Series: Righteous Rebels-- The Rebellion of Faith* (III) _Key Bible Text:_ *"By Faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with peace."* (Hebrews 11:31 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ Following a step further from the example of Moses, Rehab was on a whole new level of rebellious righteousness. Like Moses, Rehab had to abandon her people and took sides with the children of Israel who sent in spies to the land of Jericho. Unlike Moses, Rehab had never been a citizen of Israel. She was by birth and by default from Jericho. So, whereas Moses only reverted back to his original people, Rehab actually "betrayed" her people. As a radical righteous rebel, Rehab, seeing the chips were down, refused to play by the book, and rather, shifted her allegiance towards God and his people Israel. At some points, all true radical righteous rebels of the Kingdom, must shift allegiance from this world, to God. This has to be done unapologetically and intentionally, even if subtly but firmly. Our alliance and allegiance must always be to God's word, His ways and His Kingdom. Knowing that heaven and earth will pass away but those who do the will of God will abide forever. Like Jericho, this world, her wealth, and her wisdom, will soon be destroyed. *DAILY DEW 7TH/FEBRUARY/2022* *Spirit-Led Evangelism* _Key Bible Text:_ *"He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius. And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God."* (Acts 10:3-4 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ Evangelism is basically obeying the instruction to preach to every creature. However, we are also led specifically by the Spirit to people. One Saturday, as we prayed before we set out, I saw a vision of myself in a particular location with a young man. While still pondering on the vision, the Holy Ghost revealed to me that people have had places dropped in their hearts by the Spirit also. I quickly responded by saying everyone should go to the exact place they saw as we prayed and interestingly, everyone had seen a location. That day, people went to places as far as 2-3 buses away. Someone went to a specific shop she saw with a woman wearing the specific dress and colour she saw, with her daughter too. I remember seeing myself on a bridge with a young man wearing a particular jeans short - it was two buses away. I obeyed and found the exact figure I saw on that same bridge and he was the only one there. For many who had such specifics, it was so timely reaching those people. You see that thing God did for Cornelius and his family through Peter? He is still doing it today! _MEDITATION:_ *Learn to be open to the leading of the Spirit as you set out to share your faith. Sometimes, it just reminds you that what you are doing is not ordinary! *DAILY DEW 31ST/JANUARY/2022* *Faith Series: Faith Does Not Look Back* _Key Bible Text:_ *"These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. And truly, if they had been MINDFUL of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.”* (Hebrews 11:13, 15 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ To be "FAITH--FULL" you have to careful about what you are mindful of. Faithfulness or trusting God is a result of what we fill our minds with. When Abram and his entourage left Haran, they never looked back. They moved as God directed them. When Lot and his family left Sodom and Gomorrah, Lot's wife looked back because her mind had not left the forbidden place, earmarked for destruction. If we don't move with God with our minds fully stayed on God and his present leading, we risk the danger of looking back, which might be fatal. The children of Israel desired and lusted for the food they ate in Egypt even when that was the same place that they sought to be delivered from. When God saves you, it is expected that you renew your mind so that you don't go back to the vomit of your past life. Men stray back into sin because their minds are not retrained to look forward and follow the Lord's leading through His word. *DAILY DEW 17TH/JANUARY/2022* *Faith Series: How We Win* _Key Bible Text:_ *"Now Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report.”* (Hebrews 11:1-2 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ Nothing works better in this life for the winning Christian except by Faith. When Faith is applied, the good report is inescapable. It is just a matter of time. Ours is a kingdom of Faith. The elders applied it and landed good reports. If we also apply Faith through our lives' story, we would end up with a good report. The guarantee that Faith secures good report lies in the fact that it is backed by and rooted in God. It is also tested and trusted. No matter what you are going through, remember to check your Faith tank. Without Faith, you will not live a victorious life in this world. *DAILY DEW 10TH/JANUARY/2022* *MOTIVATION GONE WRONG* _Key Bible Text:_ *"Give strong drink unto him that is ready to perish, and wine unto those that be of heavy hearts."* (Proverbs 31:6 (NKJV)) _Bible Insight:_ When the monkeys and baboons heard that the man who used to chase them away from the maize field had died, they rejoiced and made merry after which they invaded the farmland with reckless abandon. Then came the following year they had no maize to eat, it then dawned on them that the dead man was the farmer. It is usually a challenging thing to learn in the hard way but human minds seem to be built that way. Growing up we often felt like our guardians were being overly protective and unnecessarily policing, only to grow up and understand better- they were actually helping. Experience is a divine gift designed to guide the wise but the foolish despise wise counsel. We live in an age and time when everyone seem to rely on the internet for every puzzle in their lives and this has mass produced untameable mistakes that are detrimental to both social and psychological health of the young ones.
