But it is still the way of the heathen. Christians love those who hate them and show kindness towards those who maltreat them. Condemning false doctrines and false brethren shouldn't convert you to a bitter soul who can no longer fellowship with true but "weak" brethren and tolerate truth spoken from frail earthen vessels. There's no gain in becoming an enemy of God's saints while trying to condemn whatever may be wrong in the Body. Be careful! The path into Pharisaical fundamentalism is very broad. Even the best of saints can be found there. *DAILY DEW 21/NOVEMBER/2023* *OUR MISSION* (4) _Key Bible Text:_ *"Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution."* (2 Timothy 3:12 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ It is worrisome that many more people are loudly identifying with the "Christian brand". Immoral folks are comfortable using "church cliches" Ungodly men are falling in love with our favorite apostles. People who reject the lordship of Jesus are also quoting the bible. And haters of the church find gospel music appealing and soothing. We may think this is good news, but it is actually more of a sign that we are more compromised than consecrated. The spirit of the antichrist is loud on unity, inclusiveness, love, liberty, and tolerance. But will oppose any emphasis on submission, discernment, separation, consecration, and fervency that makes Christianity appear too radical. Satan is not going to completely oppose "godliness" He's fine with you enjoying the "Santa-Christ", He's fine with you wearing your church clothes and speaking your church slangs. He's fine with you being cool and nice like the "friend of Sinners" version of Jesus. *DAILY DEW 20/NOVEMBER/2023* *OUR MISSION* (3) _Key Bible Text:_ *"Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls."* (James 1:21 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ There are three categories of people, especially young people, who don't go to church anymore 1. Those who have bought into unscriptural ideologies 2. Those who have slipped into a life of sin 3. Those who have found themselves insulting and ridiculing the church and her pastors. Many are in more than one category and what is common to all three is that although they may know and remember some scriptures usually when they want to support their choices, but have somehow forsaken the truth of the Bible and are far from the word of God. This is what the first Psalm addresses where it says Blessed is the man that 1. Walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly 2. Nor standeth in the way of sinners 3. Nor sitteth in the seat of mockers But his DELIGHT is in the law of the Lord and in His law does he meditate day and night. I love the words of Bishop Oyedepo where he said "One thing is needful. Whatever day the study of the bible is substituted for any other spiritual hobby; We are finished. Because we have a new generation of believers that think that fun is what makes a new generation. That is a new degeneration." *DAILY DEW 19/NOVEMBER/2023* *OUR MISSION* (2) _Key Bible Text:_ *"Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men,."* (1 Timothy 2:1 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ Read! 1 Timothy 2:2 for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. 1 Timothy 2:3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 1 Timothy 2:4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. FIRST OF ALL, PRAYERS be made. Prayer is a priority for the Believer, never an option. Then it says IN PRAYER, there's a priority...WHO/WHAT to pray FOR. For ALL MEN! So FIRST OF ALL, you are to pray for ALL MEN, not yourself. All Men FIRST! ALL MEN includes Kings, leaders, all those in authority or any form of influence. What should I pray for them about? See verse 3... It introduces God as our SAVIOUR, not a PROVIDER. So this is a matter of SALVATION! Verse 4 gave further clarity...that ALL MEN be SAVED. So FIRST OF ALL, I will pray. While taking my prayer posture, FIRST OF ALL, I will pray for ALL MEN to be SAVED. Not ALL MEN needs healing, or promotion, or car or houses. However, ALL MEN need to be SAVED. _MEDITATION:_ *The whole of last week, the thought of seeing men saved didn't come close to your mind. God has allowed us to enter this week in hope that we will do what we OUGHT to do. *DAILY DEW 18/NOVEMBER/2023* *OUR MISSION* _Key Bible Text:_ *"Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus."* (Acts 8:35 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ So in Acts 10, the Angel told Cornelius what he MUST do. The Angel also told Peter what he MUST do. Cornelius represents the unbeliever. Peter represents the believers. The Believer has an exclusive responsibility towards the unbeliever. The unbeliever cannot know what he OUGHT to do by himself. While Cornelius has something he's SUPPOSED to do, there's something Peter is SUPPOSED to be DOING. The reason you are saved and left here is because of those yet to be saved. We exist for the salvation of unsaved men. So every unbeliever out there is an emergency yet to be attended to. As long we have them out there, the work is not done, friends. Every man you come in contact with, whether for business deal or casual reason, the purpose behind that meeting is for that person to a step closer to the cross. _MEDITATION:_ *The harvest is plenty, the labourers will no longer be few.
