*DAILY DEW 24/NOVEMBER/2023* *Keep Your Underwear On* _Key Bible Text:_ *"And you are to make them linen trousers, covering their bodies from the middle to the knee.#* (Exodus 28:42 (BBE)) _Bible Insight:_ God told priests to make linen trousers to cover their nakedness. Anytime they would come to minister at the altar, they had to wear undergarments, or else they would die (Ex 28:42-43). Undergarments are what we wear under what others see. We are God’s royal priesthood. Today, the same dress code applies to us. We must wear garments of praise and put on love and spiritual armor. But what about our spiritual undergarments? The purity of the heart is that spiritual undergarment. As with undergarments, they are not visible to others, so it is with purity. Purity is an issue of the heart. God expects us to be pure in the heart (something others can’t see) (Mt 5:8; Ps 24:4). Purity is more than abstaining from sexual sin. Just because you’re a virgin doesn’t mean you are pure. Also, just because you’re not dating or married doesn’t mean you are pure. Virginity lasts until you get married, but purity is for life. Purity is a heart issue - what others don’t see. - Purity is not a point you reach but a pursuit after God. - Purity is a heart issue, not a sex issue. - Purity matters. *DAILY DEW 23/NOVEMBER/2023* *OUR MISSION* (6) _Key Bible Text:_ *"I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.* (Luke 13:3 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ Christianity will seem overrated and overhyped if we keep practicing it as a "Nice Religion" that scarcely influences our daily living and entire existence. If you're a Christian, let it be clear that your devotion, consecration, and Loyalty to Jesus should be as constant and consistent as God's reign over you. Every progress made in education and career always often involves a dutiful and diligent pursuit of the goal that demands constant exposure to information and activities that sharpens a life towards its desired end. That is why as children, we went to school EVERY DAY learning Alphabet until we became indoctrinated enough to write and speak. All that the Bible says of the Disciples of Jesus are true and valid but when Disciples begin to act as visiting lecturers and tourists, we shouldn't expect any tangible transformation because the devotion that conforms to the image of the Son cannot be substituted with passive following and fluctuating commitment that modern Christianity has become characterized by. We can't give wretched time and attention to the things of God and wonder why we scarcely experience all the goodies that were promised in the Covenant. We have often prayed and sang.."We want more of God" but God gave us all when He gave Jesus and the Spirit, We are the ones who should be giving God more. But it is still the way of the heathen. Christians love those who hate them and show kindness towards those who maltreat them. Condemning false doctrines and false brethren shouldn't convert you to a bitter soul who can no longer fellowship with true but "weak" brethren and tolerate truth spoken from frail earthen vessels. There's no gain in becoming an enemy of God's saints while trying to condemn whatever may be wrong in the Body. Be careful! The path into Pharisaical fundamentalism is very broad. Even the best of saints can be found there. *DAILY DEW 21/NOVEMBER/2023* *OUR MISSION* (4) _Key Bible Text:_ *"Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution."* (2 Timothy 3:12 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ It is worrisome that many more people are loudly identifying with the "Christian brand". Immoral folks are comfortable using "church cliches" Ungodly men are falling in love with our favorite apostles. People who reject the lordship of Jesus are also quoting the bible. And haters of the church find gospel music appealing and soothing. We may think this is good news, but it is actually more of a sign that we are more compromised than consecrated. The spirit of the antichrist is loud on unity, inclusiveness, love, liberty, and tolerance. But will oppose any emphasis on submission, discernment, separation, consecration, and fervency that makes Christianity appear too radical. Satan is not going to completely oppose "godliness" He's fine with you enjoying the "Santa-Christ", He's fine with you wearing your church clothes and speaking your church slangs. He's fine with you being cool and nice like the "friend of Sinners" version of Jesus. "Michael Brown", "Curry Blake", "Paul Washer" and Gbile Akani sound like Nonexistent Latin Legends in our ears but we know so much about the names, record labels, girlfriends, side chics and travel tours of many secular musicians. No one is asking you to be be ignorant of your surroundings but how do up justify being a Christian but being so unaware of those who should be role models and sources of inspiration yet so aware and familiar with merchants of carnal living? We keep acting like the God of the Bible is a scam meanwhile we are so in love with this world and so devoted to a million idols in a way that takes the bulk of our affection and attention. Modern Christians should be fair enough to just admit that God isn't a priority.
