Become His friend. In secondary school I read in one of Ben Carson's books how when he worked in a different place from his wife, they could speak on the phone for 6 straight hours. There were no mobile phones then. I said to myself six hours? I could not imagine that kind of jobless joblessness! Only a few years later, in the university; I would stay up till 4 or 5 am every night talking to friends, for consecutive nights. It was called free night call. To all the children here, that was before the days of whatsapp and data calls. I did those 6 hours like it was nothing and would get to class in the morning, tired. So become God's friend. And prayer will be like breathing. It is not enough to be His child...Yes, permit me to say it again...It is not enough to be His child. Become his friend too. (He is already yours) And anyone whose heart touches the Father's becomes a live prayer stream. No buffering. The signal of His 'heart beat' will be so strong, you would barely be able to contain or sustain it without laughing, weeping, rejoicing, groaning, and deep heavy glorious silence; that is, apart from words: in known or unknown tongues. From the same book of great sense o, brothers will just be teaching great nonsense. It is painful. Not once in Acts did the Apostles preach the gospel as "God loves you". Go check. What they always said, was *"Jesus died for you and God raised Him up."* • There is the only way to spell God's love - THE CROSS. All other preaching is out of context. We are what we behold Follow godly people, bury yourself daily in your Bible, stay in prayer with your heart fixed on the Lord Jesus, surround yourself with books on revival, and holiness, and consecration, and sound doctrine. Then go to the studio and take a picture. The humility of Christ will saturate the entire frame. The glory of the Father will dim every other glow. His fire in your eyes will outshine the make-up on them. *DAILY DEW 2ND/FEBRUARY/2022* *We are what we behold.* _Key Bible Text:_ *"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.”* (2 Corinthians 3:18 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ Child of God, when you spend so much time following celebrities and fashionistas on IG and Fb; people who don't put God first - believe me, it has an effect on you. When you post your own pictures, you may do it as a Christian, and with a good heart; BUT, we are what we behold. It is true that our children won't do what we tell them, they will do what they see us do. There is a way I sit on the couch. It is a particular posture. No matter how I first sit, after a few minutes, I will adjust to that posture. One day I asked myself - why is there a covenant between this sitting posture and me? Then I realised my father sits like that on the couch. For many years growing up, I saw him sit like that. Gbam! It became part of me, subconsciously. Without thinking about it, I also now sit like that. *DAILY DEW 29TH/JANUARY/2022* *ForGIVE & Don't Hold Back* _Key Bible Text:_ *"Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.”* (Ephesians 4:31-32 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ The strongest changes and best influences you will experience are the ones that start with you. For instance, the grudge you feel comes from other people, but forgiveness comes from you. This is why you HOLD grudges and KEEP malice, but you GIVE forgiveness. Moreover, a grudge is an invoice of a debt. You want to PAY SOMEONE BACK for something they did But forgiving them is like holding the receipt of a gift. You have given someone what they don't deserve, at a cost to you. So malice makes you a DEBTOR, but forgiveness makes you a CREDITOR. Forgiveness is richer than malice.
