*DAILY DEW 13/MAY/2022* *THE MOUNTAIN OF FAMILY* (The End) _Key Bible Text:_ *"As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate."* (Psalms 127:4-5 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ In concluding this series, a few more things to do that will make your current and future family wield positive influence, include:- 6. A sense of honour that permeates it. Honour is the result of An atmosphere of godly upbringing; and loving your spouse and children unconditionally. This honour is further spelled as follows:- A. Honour for God. How we love and serve him. B. Honour for our parents. Don't honor only your pastors, also honor your parents. Parents-in-law are also yours. God's blessings flow to us through our parents too. Dishonouring our parents has terrible consequences. C. Honour for your spouses. Submission is designed for one another. Accept your marital assets and liabilities and manage them, loving your spouse unconditionally. Men, remember that prayers can be hindered when we don't relate with our wives with understanding. Unfortunately, some highly spiritual people and educated people still get this wrong. Marriage is a triangle. The quality of your relationship with God determines the relationship with your wife. When you have issues, sort it out before you go to pray or church. Husbands must love their wives unconditionally. Don't love your church members and business or business partners and colleagues more than you love or honour your wife. The greatest gift a father can give his children, is loving their mother unconditionally and vice versa. How do you invest in the next generation?? How far we shoot these arrows (our children) determines how far they will go. All your children ought to be taught of the Lord. Take pain to teach and discipline them towards God. The danger of wayward generation is alarming and thankfully avoidable only if we begin NOW to do the needful. To care and teach our children is one key way we honour God. A teachable child needs guidance and a rebellious one needs discipline. *DAILY DEW 6/MAY/2022* *WISDOM PRINCIPLES FOR KINGDOM WEALTH CREATION* (I) _Key Bible Text:_ *"See, I have called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah: And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, To devise cunning works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass"* (Exodus 31:2-4 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ Kingdom wealth is part of God's redemption package for man. However, it must be emphatically stated that wealth making is not the primary reason we became saved. If your only reason for being born again, is to escape poverty, you have gotten it twisted. Jesus or salvation is not just an escape plan from financial struggle. So many unbelievers, though bound to hell except and unless they repent, can teach a lot of believers how to make decent wealth-- Not kingdom wealth, though! Kingdom wealth simply refers to wealth arising from following Bible Based principles and by believing Jesus as Lord and saviour! Many believers stumble at greatness and fumble at it. Where you are today is NOT by accident. Most of believers are stranded but ought not to be. Not all believers will become rich, but believers are not supposed to be poor. Self development is very important and impactful. This is largely the missing ingredient. Self leadership is very key. It is important to do self leading after you have discovered where you are heading. Self leadership is what makes you read habitually, unaided and with little or no external motivation or validation. Note these key things that kingdom wealth practitioners must bear in mind:- 1. Perpetuate vision and not personality. When vision is prioritized, personality can be developed to fit the vision. 2. Level of loyalty to the vision. Have a high level of loyalty to your kingdom wealth vision. Note that any vision or purpose received by God for your life is your custom made blueprint for kingdom wealth! Hence, resist the temptation of copying others, without seeking your God given vision! 3. Build a legacy and leave a legacy. Build for others, don't build for self! Build to last! *DAILY DEW 29/APRIL/2022* *BITTER PILLS FOR BETTER HEALTH* _Key Bible Text:_ *"You were in serious trouble, but you prayed to the LORD, and he rescued you. By the power of his own word, he healed you and saved you from destruction."* (Psalms 107:19-20 (CEV)) _Bible Insight:_ I have never liked taking medicine. It's bitter and it has an uninviting smell. For this reason, I had to learn a lot about divine health and divine healing so as to avoid taking drugs as much as possible. Growing up, my parents made me to take medication whenever it becomes necessary. Either through swallowing garri (eba) or just eating something sweet or delicious afterwards. Either ways, I had to deal with the fact that there are bitter pills that makes for a better health. Taking this in a more deeper point of view, the word of God is like a bitter pill that is necessary for our wholeness and wellness. A lot of believers are yet to come to terms with the place of the word of God in their lives. They are always filled with various excuses as to why they never take the word more seriously and personally. Truth is, unfortunately, a lot of believers are neither whole nor well. This is not just in spiritual terms. The poor standard or level of Christianity in vogue today is as a direct consequence of believers failing to understand that the word of God is like a bitter pill, is nevertheless necessary for our growth, soundness, wellness and wholesomeness. Hence, many are sick and live a rather poor reflection of what Jesus came to establish on earth. Take a second look at your relationship with the Word of God? How intimate is it? How often do you frequent the Word? Has secular views beclouded your need for the word? How often do you seek counsel with an open Bible and on bended knees? Has google replaced the place of the Word in your life? Can you see that there is something bitter about the Word? Is it distasteful? Does it sight bring sleep to your eyes? *DAILY DEW 15/APRIL/2022* *PUTTING EASTER INTO PERSPECTIVE* (I) _Key Bible Text:_ *"Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a spunge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth. When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost."* (John 19:29-30 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ What actually finished on the cross?! Why would Jesus make such a statement just before His last breath? What is the significance of Easter? I will like to put Easter in its proper perspective. "If you get something in perspective or into perspective, you judge its real importance by considering it in relation to everything else. If you get something out of perspective, you fail to judge its real importance in relation to everything else. Remember to keep things in perspective", says Google. One of the things Jesus settled (i.e finished) on the cross was the penalty for sin. *"For the wages of sin is death....."* Jesus died because He took upon himself the judgment for our sins. He took our place-- we deserved to death. But Jesus protested, saying, "It is Finished" to the death that would have rightfully laid its icy hands on us. Hallelujah! *"But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."* (Romans 6:23 (KJV)) Jesus indeed, rather than allowing us to face the death that is due us, gave us the gift of eternal life. This eternal life is deeper than life. This must also inform us that the death Jesus defeated wasn't just a mere death of stoppage of breath and inactivity of the body in perpetuity. This death is something more sinister & eternally dangerous. Thus, no wonder, Jesus had to replace it with "eternal life". God be forever praised in the highest. We, who are nothing but victims of death, have been redeemed and given the gift of eternal life instead. *DAILY DEW 08/APRIL/2022* *THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT PARENTING* (II) _Key Bible Text:_ *"Didn't God create you to become like one person with your wife? And why did he do this? It was so you would have children, and then lead them to become God's people. Don't ever be unfaithful to your wife."* (Malachi 2:15 (CEV)) _Bible Insight:_ When it comes to domestic chores, train your male and female children to be able to function comfortably in every kind of domestic matters. Don't relegate the girls to the kitchen alone. Ensure your boys are familiar with doing the dishes as well as cooking and laundry. Likewise, let the girls be able to wash the car, and any other chore typically relegated to boys. Our children should go through the Bible while they are with us from Genesis to Revelation. Don't educate your children in home chores and academic studies while you leave them naive in spiritual matters. Take time to train them to be spiritually strong. Be their first and most trusted bible teacher before their sunday school teacher. Give them the best Education you can afford. Home schooling or proper help with home work should also be encouraged. Be involved in their studies. Be there to ensure they are guided and not left exposed to unnecessary and unwholesome knowledge. Ensure they have enough bible knowledge to counter teachings that are anti-bible or anti-Christ. Expose your children to the word of God as well as to fellowship or church life. Let them attend bible studies, prayer meetings and evangelism with you. Teach your children money management at an early stage. Rather than pretend they don't know or not ready to know the value of money, teach them the value of money. Teach them to save their pockets money and gifts. Teach them that not every kobo that enters their hands must be used to buy something. Get a small savings box for them or open an account for them, or both. Teach them financial literacy. Your marriage should be the first 24hours practical marriage seminar session they should know and learn from.
