*STRIVING AGAINST DISUNITY & DIVISIONS IN THE BODY*
_Key Bible Text:_
*"For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another."* (Romans 12:4-5 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
The degree of strong tribalism seen with Christians, especially among pastors, in the way they think and talk, is astonishing. It may stay hidden on Sundays when everyone is in church mode, but comes out when things get personal with them in life.
Pastors who are sound teachers of the word and full of the Spirit who have not allowed the blood of Jesus wash away this illness, are many.
Many of us know of the Azusa Street revival of 1906. God used a man called William Seymour. It was a revival of the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues and other manifestations of the gifts of the Spirit.
For several years, people of all races, black and white, men and women, high and low class gathered in the same building on Azusa Street in San Francisco, to experience the love and power of God. Everything men were doing, women were also doing. There was no discrimination. It was a mighty revival that spread throughout the world
Thing is, a few years before when Seymour heard of tongues and desired it. He traveled to a holiness Bible College in Kansas where Charles Parham, a white man, was teaching it. He had to sit outside because he was black. He left without receiving the baptism of the Spirit, but received it later.
When the revival broke out, Parham came down to California to visit and when he was allowed to speak, this man of God spoke against whites and blacks sitting together and worshipping God together. He said it was wrong! They had to tell him to go and not come back.
He was not the only one who thought like that. Most white preachers who were supposedly filled with the Holy Spirit could not overcome racism. This things were amazing to read. That at the height of spiritual atmospheres, strong carnality could thrive.
_MEDITATION:_
*Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another.* (Romans 12:9-10 (KJV))

*STRIVING AGAINST SIN*
_Key Bible Text:_
*"Think of what he went through; how he put up with so much hatred from sinners! So do not let yourselves become discouraged and give up. For in your struggle against sin you have not yet had to resist to the point of being killed."* (Hebrews 12:3-4 (GNB))
_Bible Insight:_
The life of the believer is not complete until He sees sin as an enemy of His soul. Sin is not alien to a believer/the new man but sin becomes a malfunctioning or virus infiltration to the new creation man! On the other hand, the unrepented sinner has sin as a default mode or status of operation.
Sin hurts the sinner, it also hurts the saint. Sin earned Angels punishment, it changed man's World from the Bliss of Eden to the Chaos of the present Cosmos. There's nothing sin cannot destroy!
Sin thrives because of it's deception. It presented itself as a tree that was Good to Eve, Meanwhile it was the Only source of her Death. Sin Has nothing Good to Offer.
It is True that Sin has been paid for through Jesus' works but Repentance from Sin is still a strong New Testament Emphasis. If you're planning to sin on the basis that Jesus already paid for sin, you've been Deceived by Doctrines of Demons.
No Christian will succeed at Convincing God that He continued in any sin because it was his weakness and some principalities held him down.
God knows that what He designed as the New Man in Christ is stronger than sin. Enough of Excuses!
_MEDITATION:_
*And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.* (Luke 24:46-47 (KJV))

*Kingdom Enforcement Agents*
_Key Bible Text:_
*"(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ"* (2 Corinthians 10:4-5 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
*God is raising up an end time army to forcefully and prayerfully impose the will of God on earth (Mt.11:12).* Are you a soldier in the army of the Lord? There is a call of God for laborers in the vineyard of the Lord. The Bible says:
Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.†(Mat 9:37-38 NKJV)
The mission of the Church which is the Body of Christ on earth is to win souls and make disciples of all nations, to baptize them and teach them all things Jesus has commanded us (Mt.28:18-20). If you are part of the global church then that should be your assignment as well. Now how well you are doing in this mission would be the standard God would use to reward you in heaven (2 Tim.4:8).
*There is a call of God sounding throughout the earth. It is a call for warriors, for soldiers for disciples to arise and take the battle to the enemy’s camp.*
Proclaim this among the nations: “Prepare for war! Wake up the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near, Let them come up. Beat your plowshares into swords and your pruning hooks into spears; Let the weak say, ‘I am strong.’ “(Joel 3:9-10 NKJV)
God is asking his children to wake up from slumber and to prepare for war. He wants His sleeping giant (the church) to wake up and take its place in destiny and fulfil prophecy. God wants His church to make known His multi-faceted wisdom to be made known to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places right now (Eph.3:10). You are part of the army of the Lord and part of the church. That is your destiny and it is time to rise up and fulfil your destiny in Christ.
_MEDITATION:_
*News flash:- No civilians in God's kingdom. If you are not a soldier of Christ, you are not actually of Christ. You are not a citizen of the Kingdom!* -- EDJ

*NOT for the AJEBUTTERS*
_Key Bible Text:_
*"But the FEARFUL, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."* (Revelation 21:8 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
There is strong scriptural evidence that heaven is not for the spineless, weak, feeble, unserious, soft, cowardly and indolent ones.
Stay with me. But I am not talking about brute force or human energy. What then are we talking about?!
Follow me. The word _Ajebutter_ also used as "ajebo, 'bota' or 'botti', simply refers to one who is born with a silver spoon. It can be loosely translated to mean "bourgeoisie". E.g. "That babe is an ajebutter"." This is associated with "softness" as against hardness. This brings us to the scripture which says *"Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ."* (2 Timothy 2:3 (KJV)) Hence, we are called to be associated with hardness not softness!!
Unless of course, you are no soldier of Christ. And before you claim to be a ~civilian of Christ,~ kindly note that Kingdom citizens are for kingdom warriors. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, and the weapons of our warfare are not carnal! *News flash:- No civilians in God's kingdom. If you are not a soldier of Christ, you are not actually of Christ. You are not a citizen of the Kingdom!*
On the other hand, the _Ah-je-kpa-ko_ is said to refer to *"A hustler (hustle), someone who rose from the street. Examples: That auntie na ajepako (That aunty is a hustler)"* Speaking of rising from the street, in the context of this message, we are made for the streets of righteousness. We are designed to walk on the highway of holiness.
In fact, we are called to walk through the narrow way to the narrow gate! Not the broadway! *"You can enter God's Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it."* (Matthew 7:13-14)
Beloved, reason with me. The Kingdom Life is not for the ajebutter, the soft and weak and cowardly. Jesus himself didn't walk such path. And here is his call to us:- *"And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us."* (Romans 8:17-18 (KJV))
The good news is that, we may have a rough ride here, but we are comforted and assured of a safe arrival at our final destination. We will not only suffer with him, we will also be glorified with him. And the best part is that, whatever we suffer will be far less than the reward and glory that awaits us. In other words, it is a great bargain. We have nothing to lose if we key in to our calling!
_MEDITATION:_
*"Heaven is not for the fainthearted! The kingdom life is not for the ajebutters but for the ajepakos (not in terms of being born poor alone). But in terms of having this kingdom mindset of a warrior, a survivor, a never giving up, saint of God! Hence we are told, BE STRONG IN THE LORD AND IN THE POWER OF HIS MIGHT!"*

*God Is Not Through With You Yet* (II)
_Key Bible Text:_
*"And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: That no flesh should glory in his presence. But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:"* (1 Corinthians 1:28-30 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
Solomon only amplified his father's weakness for ladies. He had a huge appetite for women. All shades. Plump. Slim. Arsenal. Manchester. He could not say no to any one that caught his eye. He never discriminated against any lady. All nationalities were present in his harem. He was a very horny king with 700 wives and 300 concubines. They flocked around him because he had money to throw around. Excessive debauchery. Yet, God appeared to him many times and gave him an open cheque.
New Testament?
John the Baptist was very powerful and many feared him. A trail blazer who was quite unusual. Eccentric. But towards the end of his life, he doubted many things he knew. Gave in to depression and self-pity. Yet, no man born of woman is greater than John the Baptist.
Peter was very presumptuous. A talkative who always spoke before he thinks. He was also impulsive. Behind the gra gra surface was a veneer of cowardice. A man who could not stand up to a maid later stood in front of thousands a few months later and led 3,000 to Christ in one day.
Paul was an accessory to murder. He was sold out to exterminating believers. He had gone to collect letters authorizing him to arrest any believer he came across when he had a life-changing encounter that led to him writing half of the New Testament.
The Bible did not gloss over their characters or whitewash them. Through their humanity, we also understand how frail we are and how we all go through similar trials and temptations. Through their victories, we are encouraged that we can also overcome our frailties and be victorious.
The Bible is a perfect book of imperfect characters- people just like us, warts and all. Their stories were written to reassure us that God's grace is sufficient for us and His power is made perfect in our weakness.
Don't give up! God is not through with you yet.
_MEDITATION:_
*"For we do not have a High Priest who is unable to sympathize and understand our weaknesses and temptations, but One who has been tempted [knowing exactly how it feels to be human] in every respect as we are, yet without [committing any] sin. Therefore let us [with privilege] approach the throne of grace [that is, the throne of God’s gracious favor] with confidence and without fear, so that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find [His amazing] grace to help in time of need [an appropriate blessing, coming just at the right moment]."* (Heb 4:15-16 Amplified))
