*DAILY DEW 15TH /SEPTEMBER/2021* *WORSHIP GOD FOR WHO HE IS* Key Bible text: *I will exalt you, my God and King, and praise your name forever and ever.* (Psalms 145:1 (NLT)) _Bible Insight:_ It’s easy to worship God when we have ample blessings in our lives, and when He says yes to our prayers. We can and we should worship Him for those things! But, first and foremost, we worship Him for who He is. Did you know that God is omnipresent, omniscient, and omnipotent? What do these big “omni” words actually mean? Well, omni is a Latin root that simply means “all.” Let’s dive in a little deeper to each of these attributes of God. *Omnipresent*. God is “all” present. He is everywhere, all the time, close to everyone and everything. He fills all of heaven and earth. Often as Christ followers, we might pray, “God, please be with me today.” While the petition of God’s presence shows our need for Him, this prayer is actually unnecessary. He is already here and there and elsewhere and all over the place, all the time. What our request should be instead is, “God, please make me aware of your presence.” *Omniscient*. God is “all” knowing. In regard to knowledge, there is no limit with God. He has it all, and He knows it all. Literally. There is not a second that goes by where God is not aware of everything. There is absolutely nothing that He should learn or have to think about. He is never caught off guard or surprised by anything, ever. He just knows. Mind blowing, isn’t it? And isn’t it comforting to know that God knows our needs before we even ask? *Omnipotent.* God is “all” powerful. All power belongs to God. He possesses it all. He can do anything and everything. He never gets winded, and He never grows weary. His strength is never zapped, and He never has to take a nap. We may see impossible things in front of us, but with God, all things are possible. It truly is phenomenal to even comprehend just a portion of who He is. That is where our worshiping Him for who He is should come easy. *When we don’t understand something, just worship* MEDITATION: *Of the three “omni” words mentioned above, which one fascinates you the most? *DAILY DEW 8TH/SEPTEMBER/2021* *BRIDLE YOUR TONGUE* _Key Bible Text:_ *Stay calm; mind your own business; do your own job. You've heard all this from us before, but a reminder never hurts.* (1Thessalonians.4.11 (MSB)) _Bible Insight:_ *"I am not afraid of anyone. I will say what I see. I like to say my mind so that I will not keep grudges. It is not good if I can't say what is on my mind, I will say it now. I don't want it to decay in my stomach"* These are what so many people grow with, and what they think is right so as to live freely, but I tell you this has caused so many harms in a family, community, nations and so on. This is simply because, human beings refuse to keep silent and control their thought and tongues about what they see or hear-- especially when they are angry or excited. It is good to say the truth at all times but wisdom is needed in the way you construct or express yourself and put down your words. Wisdom is needed not only in controlling and constructing what you say, but in determining the right timing to say what you have to say. And there is a saying that goes, "if a person talks too much he or she will eventually fall into trouble." Have you been in this category, is it that you must say all what you see or think or feel? Today am letting you know that it will eventually bring you no good but trouble. The bible makes it clear to us in the book of James.3.6 (KJV) that *"And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell. "* So, you need to control your tongue. You don't have to let out everything you see/feel/think you need to say. Peradventure, you are still in this mess, God can set you free. Only when you lay everything down at His feet through His son Jesus Christ then you will be free indeed. You know, this act can lead to eternal damnation and there is no repentance in the grave. Words spoken can either destroy or make/build you. Why don't you confess now to Jesus and repent from this dead work? It is only Jesus Christ you can tell everything, and get solution instantly depending on how much you trust Him. The book of James 1:19-20 says, *"My dear brothers and sisters, be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry. *DAILY DEW 1ST/SEPTEMBER/2021* *MELCHIZEDEK* (IV) _Key Bible Text:_ *There is another difference: there were many of those other priests, because they died and could not continue their work. But Jesus lives on forever, and his work as priest does not pass on to someone else.* (Heb 7:23,24 (GNB)) _Bible Insight:_ According to our studies in Hebrew chapter seven, the first difference with the Priesthood of Jesus, was that God backed it with a vow: *The Lord has made a solemn promise and will not take it back: 'You will be a priest forever.' * This made Jesus the guarantee of a better covenant. We don't need to wonder what made the new testament covenant better! The High Priest unlike in the old, does not ever die. He always lives to make intercession for us. The second difference is that because he does not die, he is never to be replaced or changed, unlike the old covenant. There is no possibility of another high priest emerging. It is always going to be Jesus. Hallelujah! And so Jesus is able, now and always, to save those who come to God through Him, because He lives forever to plead with God for them. Jesus, then, is the High Priest that meets our needs. He is holy; He has no fault or sin in him; He has been set apart from sinners and raised above the heavens. He is not like other high priests; He does not need to offer sacrifices every day for His own sins first and then for the sins of the people. *DAILY DEW 25TH/AUGUST/2021* *PROOF OF LOVE* _Key Bible Text:_ *This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life.* (John.3.16 (MSB)) _Bible Insight:_ Have you ever wondered why you love to do things first for yourself? You care so much for yourself which is good, but have you also asked yourself what does God's love look like? How can you prove the love that you said you have? God proved His love for the world by giving a costly sacrifice. He gave His all. His only precious gift to the world. And afterwards still waiting for the response of the world to the love He has shown. Is it not that your own love is that someone should love you before you show them love too? Is it not that you do your own things first not even minding what the other person is passing through? Your own is that you need to have every necessary thing before you can remember anyone that doesn't have any? Is that what you do? Love is more than passion. It leads to sacrifice that makes you do what pleases your maker (GOD) not yourself. Love overlooks mistakes and focuses on the uniqueness of others. Have you been seeing this way or what you always see is the ugly part of people that comes around you? You need to prove your love by first loving the maker of your life and let Him fill your heart with His own love that does not lead to lust. Remember this. You will want to always be in the presence of the person you love so much all the time. How long do you seek God if truly you love Him? It is only when you love God that you will not be in hurry in your secret place.
