And it shall be, when he lieth down, that thou shalt mark the place where he shall lie, and thou shalt go in, and uncover his feet, and lay thee down; and he will tell thee what thou shalt do."* (Ruth 3:3-4 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ Falling in love and getting married is a personal journey that is unique to each individual. However, here are some tips that may help you: 1. Be open to meeting new people: You can't fall in love if you don't put yourself out there. Take away the veil, be known in your local church, attend and join groups. Attend social events, join clubs or groups that interest you, and be willing to strike up a conversation with someone new. You won't meet people by hiding away and being a loner. Being a loner is not good for people seeking partners 2. Know what you want: Think about the qualities you are looking for in a partner. Write them down if it helps. This will help you recognize when you meet someone who meets your criteria. You should also accommodate what a person with your criteria would set as their criteria and rise up to exceed all of them. You can't be seeking a God fearing man, and you have no spiritual life worth noticing, you don't attend church as you should. God fearing men marry God fearing women that are fervent, committed and dedicated to God secretly and publicly. 3. Be yourself: Don't try to be someone you're not to impress someone else. You want someone to love you for who you are, not who you're pretending to be. {And if you must pretend to be something, if that thing is really worth it, why not be it for real?} 4. Communicate: Once you've met someone you're interested in, communicate openly and honestly with them. Share your thoughts, feelings, and goals for the future. 5. Take it slow: Don't rush into anything. Getting to know someone takes time, so take things slow and enjoy the journey. Start with building a good and great friendship. When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul; Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee"* (Proverbs 2:9-11 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ BUILDING the right CONVICTIONS will require each of these: The word: without the word, there was nothing made that was made. When you get into the word and the word gets into you, you will command your world alright. Until you get settled into the word and allow the word to get settled into you, you won't form the right convictions. Don't allow social media and social influencers to take the place of God's word in your life. You can never defeat or defy or overcome the world's system without bible based convictions Books: Get into the habit of reading quality books from quality and godly authors. Don't be comfortable as a believer in this last days if you are not a book reader. The times we spend on social media is proof that we can create time to read books if we set our minds to it. If you are not an intentional reader, you can't become a person of proper godly and strong convictions. Prayer: Prayer is the spiritual technology that keeps you locked down on your convictions. Prayer helps your convictions simmer into your conscious and subconscious minds so that when push comes to shove, you will by reflex act on your convictions and not contrary to your convictions. Right Company: If you don't surround yourself with the right company, you will be "dinah-ed" or forced into actions and scenarios that betray your convictions. Dinah would have been safe, if she had not got to see the land with the daughters of the Land. (Gen 34) Selectiveness (censorship): until your master the art of guarding your heart with all diligence, you will be guided by your heart into things that do not profit. Continuity: Be consistent. Hotness is not only felt but is received. A believer who is hot, on fire for God, is a contagious Christian. We are life giving agents. We carry the light of life and God expects us to "distribute" that light. Hence, even as men do not light up a candle and put it under a bucket, so will God not put light in His children and hide them or expect them to stay hidden. God wants us to spread his divine energy, his divine plans, his divine purposes and His divine pursuits. The contagious Christian has the following:- 1. A selfless life: you can't be a contagious Christian if all you do is think and care about yourself. You must learn to consider others too. 2. A Christ centered life: A Christ focused perspective to life, will always produce a contagious life. The Christ that died for others, will not produce believers that can't sacrifice for other's growth and progress. 3. A life on fire for God: Without fire, you can't even be fulfilled let alone help others find fulfilment. Fire is necessary for any life that will make impact. 4. A life that seeks to set others on fire for God: Fire spreads. Once you have fire, you give fire. When you love God, you help others around you see and taste the beauty of living for and loving God. 5. The problem is that many ignore it daily. It's an 'epidemic' in the body. Every believer has the Spirit but not every believer is filled or under the influence of the Spirit. Not every believer is walking in the Spirit. It takes the study of the word and prayers daily to be influenced by the Spirit! God's love found us at our worst, and it can sure keep us now. His love is steadfast and sure. He uses the instrument & instructions of His Word to keep us! If it works for one or two persons only, maybe it's a coincidence, but if it works for many, it's a proven method. God's word has a track record of changing lives. And we will shout about this forever. Study the Word. Pray. Sing Spiritual Songs. You can plug an earpiece and sing along too. This puts you in a state of being filled with the Spirit all day. Comparing him with your father or the husband of your sister or friend or even your 'crush preacher ' is bad and I see it as MANIPULATION that can frustrate a well-meaning good man. Nobody was born a GREAT CHEF, let your wife become better and allow her make her mistakes too. Comparing her to your Mum is actually BABYISH and you are only causing more harm than good to yourself. You can't be comparing people who genuinely love you to those who can flee from you at any given time of crisis just because of mistakes that are consistent with the human nature, made by them. Allow people grow and not for selfish reasons, let them be able to say to you after years that YOU HAVE EARNED MY TRUST AND YOU HAVE STAYED THROUGH THE YEARS. The person giving 'bouncing prophecies' today might just need to stay around you the 'accurate prophet' for 6 months and he might end up becoming 'accurate' like you too but because he gave prophecies that bounced in two of your meetings, you didn't even give him the benefit of the doubt that HE MIGHT JUST BE GROWING and NEEDS TUTORING. "The fourth man in the fire" is one of the titles I love to call God. Imagine if these three friends of Daniel had not risked being thrown into a burning furnace. Perhaps, never shall we discover this literal interpretation and manifestation of God and His promise to us. Pls take note that no where else in recorded scripture, did we read of an episode where God literally stood with his loyal subjects in the fire of a raging burning furnace. Many claim to believe in Jesus, but will never fancy that kind of life Jesus lived-- one of suffering for what he did not do, all because He was bound to please His heavenly Father. Stomach infrastructure Christianity is that type that lacks the spine and conviction to say "NO" to that which will not please God, for fear of falling out of favour with men or losing their earthly privileges, or earthly friendships/connections. The world is NOT meant to embrace that believer who shuns her worldliness and ungodliness. That charmeleon Christianity that tries to play it safe, with one leg in the Lord and the other in the world, is nothing but a town hall different from bala blue, that is to say, nonsense gibberish. *"If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you."* John 15:18 (KJV) My friend, if the world is not hating you, then you are not behaving like Jesus, whom the world hated.
