_Bible Insight:_

You'll not be a bad tree. You will bear good fruits. You will not be cut down. You will not be thrown into the fire. God will show you mercy and you will know and dwell in His salvation. When others fall, you will rise. When others walk, you will fly. Goodness and mercy will be your invisible body guards Where ever you go. You will not walk alone. You will walk with God.

God will be for you. You will not be against God either. You will not offend God. You will not harden your heart and ears when He is speaking. You will know His voice. You will not mistake his voice with your own or another's. You will know exactly what He wants you to do. And you will do it. You will not rest until you do it.

You will enjoy divine mercy and you will know divine peace. Storms and challenges will prove that you are born to win. Difficulties will confirm that your case is positively different. Impossible looking situations will call out to you, saying "I'm possible". You will not know what limitations looks like. You will walk tall and you will always win.

God has blessed you. May your life continue counting for His glory. It is well with you. Enjoy the best half of this year so far. I love you.

_Bible Insight:_

I was at the IKOYI prison Magistrate Court that morning. It turned out that my matter wasn't going on! I & an officer of the complainant checked with the registrar it turns out that the matter was slated for the following week for trial. I saw a document that would help me! So I collected it to run some copies! My bill was 180 naira. I had a thousand naira note with me -- the small denominations on me, I was afraid to release as I knew I would need them later. But I thought it was too early, and I was the first customer she would attend to! So I was about using my church mind to give her the only set of smaller denominations with me, when I had a check in my spirit that said: "But have you asked?".

Immediately, I kept back the "change" with me -- thank God she didn't notice as she had been busy attending to other customers! So I gave her the 1000 naira note with me, and she searched out my balance for me -- all from her bag! Then the scripture came to mind: "Ask, and you shall receive!", "You do not receive because you do not ask!"

Pls don't assume it can't be done: have you asked? Have you prayed? Have you shared the challenge with a friend!?

There are several things we go through life thinking "I know it can't be done!" In fact, some have set their minds perpetually on the negative!

Never shy away from asking! Talk to God about that challenge! And you may also need to share with a friend! Learn to open up! Don't suffer* in silence!

*Ask, and you will receive; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks will receive, and anyone who seeks will find, and the door will be opened to those who knock.* (Matthew 7:7-8 (GNB))

_Bible Insight:_

An indepth and practical knowledge of the WORD is the surest solution to the craze for success. In this world of limited resources and insatiable needs, only the knowledge of the WORD will deliver a truly successful success to its seekers. The world in their vain mind, professes to know, but while they profess to be wise, they have become foolish. Indeed, has God not made foolish the wisdom of this world? (Rom 1:22; 1Cor. 1:20)

Indeed, one must and should know that if the word spoken by angels and relayed by middlemen carried veracity and consequences, how much more the word delivered by God's own son? How foolish of one to think that we can solve the puzzle of this world without the creator of the puzzle itself? How foolish to think we could assay to do life on our own terms and without God's light and direction communicated through and in His own son?

True success is not found in following ideas, and things ascribed as valuable by men. True success is found by following just one person-- the son of God, the living word of God. If you don't know the WORD, you can never find good success. The puzzle of this world is designed to destroy men who think themselves as wise without the only wise God.

Until and unless you know and follow the WORD, you will never escape the destruction that will surely consume all men who make God's word an option rather than a way of life, a way of escape from the coming doom.

MEDITATION:
*Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.* (Hebrews 3:12-13 (KJV))

_Bible Insight:_

The writer of Hebrews successfully emphasized the importance of following God's word in these last days. He skillfully argued how that God had been dealing with men by middlemen such as prophets and priests but now has showed Himself to men by revealing Himself in the person of His own son. You can doubt middlemen but never ever doubt His own son!

To remind us the high standing of His son, he informs us that the Father had actually appointed the son as heir over all things. Not only that, without His son, this very world would never be in existence- all things was created through the Son. This is reemphasized in John, where the son was introduced as the WORD:

*_In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him; and without HIM was not any thing made that was made._* John 1:1-3 (KJV)

And just in case you are unsure if the Word was actually referring to the son, there is no need for uncertainty at all. John 1:14 (KJV) is apposite, *"And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth."*

Beloved, if you truly understand that God in these last days is speaking through His Son, who is the Word, who is the heir of all things and the source of all that's created, you had better place the WORD where it should really be in your life-- your number one access and key to success!

*Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.* (Hebrews 2:1 (KJV))

_Bible Insight:_

Scandals, murders, robberies, rapes, political assassinations, marital infidelity, corruption, bribery, and so many other man made problems and vices are all a result of disobedience to God's word. Man in his self professed wisdom, derides God's word and refuses to hearken to His will and ways.

Alas, the more individuals deliberately dance away from the truth of God's word, and rather walk in their selfish and instinctive ways, the more we self destruct and damage what God has given to men for their good.

While this dangerous trend is not going away till Jesus returns, every individual must decide to walk way from the path of destruction and seek the wisdom of God. The wisdom of God is not hidden from men but men prefer their human and foolish ways that have caused more harm than good.

Joshua 1 verse 8 calls us to the open secret of finding a good success. A sure plan to not fail, is having a plan to not ignore the word of God. A sure path to success in this world and the world to come, is making a personal decision to stick to the word of God. To know the word, to meditate on it, to read it daily and apply it unapologetically and consistently is God's idea of a good success.

*The foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.* (1 Corinthians 1:25 (KJV))

*YOUR FAITH PLEASES GOD*

_Bible Insight:_
There’s no doubt about it: Our faith pleases God. And the lack of it displeases God.

In the Bible portion we read today, Jesus marveled at the faith of the centurion. We also read that he marveled at the unbelief of people he encountered in his ministry – because of their unbelief he “could not a mighty work there.”

How does Jesus respond to your faith? Does He marvel at it? Or is He constrained from doing mighty work because of your unbelief?

When we don't exercise faith, we displease God. On the other hand, when we exercise faith, we please God. It's as simple as that.

Choosing a faith response gives God the opportunity to display His power. When you see His power in action, your faith is built up. And it gives God the chance to work in and through you to accomplish His purposes.

*REDISCOVERING THE WAY* (II)

_Bible Insight:_

I joined a local church in 2012, and in my usual way, I watched things for the first few weeks before deciding to settle in. Finally, I took the decision to join them and to serve; enrolled in the foundation class and began my journey there. What really thrilled me was their passion for evangelism. This was a local church where a major thing people consider before getting into courtship is passion for ministry. I loved it.

Later, I joined the choir department and I began to play drums alongside another brother. I have some little pro training from classes I took in the past, understand a few rudiments, and so my playing was good enough. I'm rusty now though. Pastoring has stolen that from me. Haha. Now, unknown to me, as I was just busy doing my thing, enjoying the sessions, playing my best, the other drummer was growing envious and jealous. I had no idea! A brother called my attention to it and asked me to be careful but I just didn't see it. But one day, this guy literally dragged with me and got angry and refused to get up from the drum when it was my turn to play. I left him and engaged in the singing sessions. So easy. Me that even while playing drums, you'd catch me singing. It was never about drumming.

After the meeting, I walked up to him to ask why he did that, and he gave some flimsy excuses. Well, it was already clear to me that he was jealous. So, I asked him to let us spend time together in prayer and study, because I know that would heal his mind deeply. I also offered to train him in my own little way because I was obviously playing better. In my exact words to him: 'I won't be here for long, but you will be here, so be sure I'm not trying to take your place'. He agreed but never was available and so the envying continued. He never learnt anything till I left!

Guess what? After my departure from there, another drummer joined the church and perpetually benched him because he was still the amateur player that he was. A competitive mindset is the reason why you'll find yourself envying those you are meant to learn from. There are people who have been placed in your life to help you become a better version of yourself, but you can choose to resent them, get intimidated, or simply yield to learn. Even in the business world, where competition is a thing, people study the models of their competitors! Even in the business world...

I've seen much envy and jealousy play out among believers. There are singers in church who just detest other singers because they seem to possess more skill. There are preachers who detest other preachers because they have a better grasp of scriptures. Some detest those who seem to know how to disciple men. Some even detest others for being prayerful! Someone might think, even in the house of God✨ Yes, Galatians 5:19-21 was written to the church - the works of the flesh can be seen among the saints if they do not renew their minds. It takes humility to learn from those who are better and more experienced.

*REDISCOVERING THE WAY*

*REDISCOVERING THE WAY*

_Key Bible Text:_
*"For it is by God's grace that you have been saved through faith. It is not the result of your own efforts, but God's gift, so that no one can boast about it. God has made us what we are, and in our union with Christ Jesus he has created us for a life of good deeds, which he has already prepared for us to do."*
(Ephesians 2:8-10 (GNB))

_Bible Insight:_

Don't put the cart before the horse (even though both are important). Your conduct in Christ should be driven by a revelation and consciousness of what He has done for you in redemption.

If your conduct is driven by anything else other than this, at best, you'll frustrate yourself. Worse, even if you manage to succeed at it, you'll have wasted your time because the presentation of our bodies to God must be inspired by a desire to respond to His mercy.

Romans 12:1 (NIV), states, *"Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, IN VIEW OF GOD'S MERCY, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship."*

God's mercy, in this context, refers to all Apostle Paul wrote in the chapters before (Romans 1-11) - how he emphasized that our righteousness (justification) in Christ came by faith; not works.

We don't do good works to keep scores with God. We do good works in response to God's goodness to us.

It's the same way God wants men to respond to His goodness (clearly demonstrated in salvation) by believing in the gospel.

Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, forbearance and patience, not realizing that God's kindness is intended to lead you to repentance? (Romans 2:4 (NIV))

You can read up more references about responding to God's goodness by living a holy life, I mean, a life pleasing to Him.

*Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.* (Titus 2:13-14 (KJV))

*YOU HOLD THE KEY- STIR IT UP*

*YOU HOLD THE KEY- STIR IT UP*

_Key Bible Text:_

_Bible Insight:_

I made a cup of tea with some honey added to it. When I tasted it, I couldn't realize or relish the taste of the things added to the tea. Then, I had to stir the tea for a while. Thereafter, the glory of the taste of the tea became apparent. In that moment, the above scripture pulled out from a corner of my spirit. The meaning of the scripture became crystal clear.

Until you stir up the gifts of God in your life, you will never taste the glory of the power of God. Until you stir up the grace that God had imputed in your life and calling, you will remain small and uneventful. Your life will be tasteless as far as your spiritual growth and greatness is concerned if you don't stir up the gifts of God in your life.

Stir up the gift of God in your life. The moment you were born again, God implanted certain gifts into your life with or without laying of hands. Some persons, have more gifting than others. However having the gift is not as important as stirring up the gift. A lot of believers achieve far below their God given capacity because they fail to stir up.

You stir up the gifts of God, by "shaking" yourself. To shake yourself is to apply yourself. You apply yourself to spiritual disciplines and practices as a matter of habit. When you don't habitually exercise your gifts, you will never maximize nor realize their purposes. Remember the servant with the one talent who buried it and never used it. He paid dearly for his negligence and laziness at the end.

_Bible Insight:_

One reason why it seems that majority of Christians on social media by virtue of what they believe, are unserious is that many many serious, stable and balanced believers are NOT on social media. They simply don't have the time or tendency or interest to facebook or tweet or gram etc regularly.

I know there are some of you who will read the above and think - Why don't they✨ That's what we are talking about!!! Believers need to take over territories!! Any believer who is not on social media is unserious!!! Then they have no right to complain about the wrong influence of the media on......"

You'd better not even go there. Some of you who say these things cannot remember the last time you read your Bible or had daily fellowship with God everyday for one week. You don't even know Philemon is a book in the Bible. You cannot remember the last time you heard God....but you are always on social media. You should keep quiet. Even you cannot influence anything the kingdom way. You are probably being influenced and you don't know it

These people I'm talking about may not be on Twitter but everyone is the office knows that they fear God. They have several people who have come to know God through them. Some of them have won hundreds of souls to Christ this year, both in the villages and in cities like Lagos. They are always in the place of intercession. Between the office and home, they are praying for one widow or one drug addict they are planning to visit at the weekend.

These are Jesus lovers who come online to look for prayer points. They read and receive burdens and not just have a good time. And off they go to groan, for individuals, for God's servants, for the church, for the nation. They simply have no time for tiktok. You may be far more online than them but their impact in Heaven and on earth will outweigh yours by far.

It was Elijah who thought he was the last godfearing man standing, and it was God who told him He had seven thousand others. These believers are many. Several of them are on social media, some active and some passive; but there are so many of them who are hardly, if ever on social media, at all - but who are full of grace and understanding and standing for God.

*MEDITATION:*
*Apart from exclusive groups, social media is the public. It is a public space. It is like walking on the streets. It is not even the church. Apart from crusades and evangelism campaigns, believers don't meet on the streets. For that you have to walk or drive in and enter the meeting place. Likewise, there is a lot of solid Christianity and faith outside of what you see generally on facebook and twitter.* *Just so you know.*

Fatherhood is not about bossing around. The man is the head, but he must also be the servant of all. True fathers fight for their family. They provide for, protect, and position their families for greater heights.

I strongly believe that fathers are underrated. We go through a lot for our families, but are rarely recognized or praised. Fathers are built differently from mothers, and thus may not be able to handle certain pressures which mothers handle. But our intrinsic features equip us to be strong upholders of the integrity of our homes. Fathers are priceless!

God has specially placed fathers in the home to instruct their families in the way of the Lord. This role must not be abandoned to the mothers.

And just as women are made to be helpers to their husbands, HUSBANDS ARE BUILT TO BE HELPERS TO THEIR WIVES. It's not a one-sided affair. This is the desire of our Father in heaven.

For personal development to take place, there is a need for you to spend quality time. Personal development is not something that would jump at you. You must take a conscious effort to do certain selected activities. Did I just hear you say that there is no time? Well, that is why we all have holidays and weekends.

Some years ago, we had an NYSC member who came for her Youth Service with WiGRadio, she decided that apart from work, you wanted to learn a new skill which was tailoring. That was the aspect of personal development she was looking at. By the time she was completing her youth service, she had not only become well skilled at sewing but she was also good enough to sew for me and for a few people at WiGRadio. Of course she got paid. When did she learn these things? On her CDS days.

Another lady came for one year industrial training with us at WiGRadio after that. She had also heard the story of Corper Edwina and had been interested in learning about sewing. Without discussing with anyone, she started attending a fashion training school during the weekends and on public holidays when we did not have work to do. The last time I checked her whatsapp status, I saw many wonderful clothes that Omowunmi had sewn.

When was the last time you learnt a new skill? You might say "but I am not interested in fashion designing", yes I know! Whatever area you want to develop yourself, all you need to do is to go online now. You can learn a lot of new things on YouTube. As a student, you can learn photography online and patiently wait until you get a camera. If you hear of a training that comes up during a public holiday, maximise it.

*"Stop using your weekends and holidays to just sleep as a student. There is more that you can do. Today is Sunday, what are your plans for today? Do you just want to sleep and have a nice time? You can do more. You can decide to use today to develop yourself and become a better individual."*

_Bible Insight:_

John Knox was a great intercessor in Scotland whose prayer was feared by Queen Victoria, the sovereign ruler of that day. Like Finney, Spurgeon and other men who shook the world for Jesus. People think this gift or that anointing made them great, but we see that it is this recurring decimal of 2 Timothy 2:19 that made them fit for the Master's use - they NEVER downplayed or joked with the issue of sin.

It wasn't only what they desired to receive from God through His grace, but what they desired to be taken away from them by God in His mercy. They wanted the Death of Christ to be their Death so that the Life of Christ could be their only living.

They knew and lived the righteousness of God in such a way that they wept and mourned over the sins of themselves, of the church and of the world. Having thus knelt at the Cross, when they stood to preach, it was not with the persuasive words of men but by the power of God.

I agree with Francis Schaeffer when he said "I have come to the conclusion that none of us in our generation feels as guilty (or rather, sorrowful) about sin as we should or as our forefathers did."

Brethren, this is the difference.
