*DAILY DEW 19/NOVEMBER/2022* *STRIVING AGAINST DISUNITY & DIVISIONS IN THE BODY* (II) _Key Bible Text:_ *"And they sang a new song, saying: "You are worthy to take the scroll, And to open its seals; For You were slain, And have redeemed us to God by Your blood Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation."* (Revelation 5:9) _Bible Insight:_ Folks want to teach the deep things of Paul and new creation realities and so on. They want to be champions of faith and grace and custodians of the truth, but that truth has not affected them. Many love the teachings of Paul but do not understand the secrets of Paul. Paul was a man who had been a Pharisee. Pharisees were the Hebrew of Hebrews. They took the law of Moses very seriously and upheld it rigorously. They despised non-Jews and would have nothing to do with them. They were infidels. Even Samaritans who were part Jew and part Gentile were outcasts. Yet after Paul had an encounter with Jesus, he began to call Ephesians and Thessalonians, dear brethren. He began to live with them, talk with them, walk with them and share life with them. He wrote Colossians 3:11 In this new life, it doesn’t matter if you are a Jew or a Gentile, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbaric, uncivilized, slave, or free. Christ is all that matters, and he lives in all of us. The secrets of the life of Paul which many miss as they read his scriptural writings are what made his teaching so powerful and relevant to date. They are what qualified him to write two-thirds of the epistles. The man embodied new creation realities. He knew what the new man was, what grace was. He really encountered Jesus. From the days of Paul till now, many genuine men of God have fallen short of the glory of God because they do not have this understanding. Somehow, the grace of God has been unable to make all old things pass away and everything become new. They still hold on very strongly and deeply to tribal and racial matters. The Cross and Death of Christ has not reached there, and therefore the Spirit and the Resurrection cannot work there. God cannot use them as He wants to. As He used Paul. Only that which has been touched by the death of Christ may experience the life of Christ, for it is resurrection life. For, it is good when the lion and the lamb, the snake and the chick, the tiger and the rabbit stay together in harmony; but the greater miracle is when the Chinese and the Ghanaian, the Indian and the Brazilian, the Fulani and the Igbo, live and worship together as brothers and sisters. This is real Christianity. _MEDITATION:_ *I pray that the church becomes dead to what Jesus died for so that we may live as He lives. I pray that we be not conformed to this world but become transformed by the renewing of our minds so that we may prove in our generation what is that perfect will of God.
