*DAILY DEW 17TH/FEBRUARY/2022* *The Secret of Effortless Praying* _Key Bible Text:_ *"Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer"* (Romans 12:12 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ Don't try to pray for four hours, 'fall in love' with God. Become His friend. In secondary school I read in one of Ben Carson's books how when he worked in a different place from his wife, they could speak on the phone for 6 straight hours. There were no mobile phones then. I said to myself six hours? I could not imagine that kind of jobless joblessness! Only a few years later, in the university; I would stay up till 4 or 5 am every night talking to friends, for consecutive nights. It was called free night call. To all the children here, that was before the days of whatsapp and data calls. I did those 6 hours like it was nothing and would get to class in the morning, tired. So become God's friend. And prayer will be like breathing. It is not enough to be His child...Yes, permit me to say it again...It is not enough to be His child. Become his friend too. (He is already yours) And anyone whose heart touches the Father's becomes a live prayer stream. No buffering. The signal of His 'heart beat' will be so strong, you would barely be able to contain or sustain it without laughing, weeping, rejoicing, groaning, and deep heavy glorious silence; that is, apart from words: in known or unknown tongues.
