*Dirty Boots; Distance Covered*
_Key Bible Text:_
*"Where no oxen are, the crib is clean: but much increase is by the strength of the ox."* Proverbs 14:4 (KJV)
_Bible Insight_
Thomas Edison is quoted to have said "I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work."
Life is exactly like that. Winners are just those who have failed severally but refused to stop. If you want no scars, no failures, no pains, no sweats, no frustrations, and no challenges, just don't try anything. Just don't take up anything worthwhile. Have no real goals. Have no real targets. Just wander around aimlessly.
But once you decide to pursue anything worthwhile, be ready to suffer roadblocks, challenges, pains, sweats etc.
The good thing is, inside that pain, lies some gain; inside the sweat, you find sweet achievements too.
If you want a constantly neat kitchen that never harbours any dirts at all, all day long, don't do any cooking at all. Don't even enter. But even then, you will have dusts and cobwebs to deal with after some days.
So you see, the rule of life is, the more the pains, the more the gains!

*Pride & Foolish Talking*
_Key Bible Text:_
*"In the mouth of the foolish is a rod of pride: but the lips of the wise shall preserve them."* Proverbs 14:3 (KJV)
_Bible Insight_
Nabal's foolish response to David's men, eventually led to his early grave.
If you won't help, you can as well politely refuse to help. Instead, when asked for a favor, Nabal retorted,
*"David? Who is he? I've never heard of him! The country is full of runaway slaves nowadays!
I'm not going to take my bread and water, and the animals I have butchered for my sheepshearers, and give them to people who come from I don't know where!"*
That was not a decline to help, that was an insult & a go-to-hell tell off.
He thought he was wise & having fun but he didn't know his foolish pride had sealed his destruction. His wife, Abigail tried to save him but it was too late. David forgave him but God had already judged him.

*THE WISE WOMAN THAT BUILDS*
_Key Bible Text:_
*"Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands."* Proverbs 14:1 (KJV)
_Bible Insight_
Abigail was the backbone of her husband's wealth. Her wisdom and diligence made her husband who he was, not withstanding his foolishness until David came into the picture.
A man looked at his wife's ex who was relatively not as well placed in life and said to his wife:
"If not for me, you won't be the wife of a president."
The wife smiled and looked at him and said,
"If not for me, you won't become a president."
Underestimate the power of a woman at your own peril. Marry a foolish wife, and your life will tell the story without words. Marry a wise wife, and your life will be the piece of evidence without stories.
As a woman, strive to be the backbone of your husband, the dependable neck to his head, and the winds beneath his wings.
As a man, don't ever compete with your wife, give her room to play her role in your life.
The greatest challenge is how to discover the wife that is wise that builds. But the first way to start is to be wise yourself.
_MEDITATION:_
