The Holy Spirit is consistent. Our emotions can fluctuate. 4. The Holy Spirit guides us according to God's will. Our emotions reflect our internal state (Rom 12:2). 5. The Holy Spirit is reliable. The Holy Spirit uses the personal pronoun in reference to Himself (Acts 13:2). 2. Jesus referred to the Holy Spirit as a person (Jn 16:7,8,13,14). 3. The Holy Spirit’s work is to carry on the ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ (Jn 14:16-17). 4. The Holy Spirit has the three elements of personality:� - Mind: “The mind of the Spirit” (Rom 8:27)� - Will: “The Spirit didn't permit them” (Acts 16:6-7)� - Emotions: “Do not grieve the Holy Spirit” (Eph 4:30) 5. The Holy Spirit performs actions that only a person can perform. He speaks, searches all things, teaches, cries, helps, gives gifts, etc. 6. The Holy Spirit has personal feelings ascribed to Him.
