*DAILY DEW 27/NOVEMBER/2022* *WHAT WOULD BE YOUR PRICE?* _Key Bible Text:_ *"Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine."* (2 Timothy 4:2 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ Neymar is one of the most well-known footballers in the world, and famously public about his Christian faith. After it was reported his club offered him $500,000 a month in return for keeping quiet about Jesus, the Evangelical Alliance’s Phil Knox, asks: “what would be your price?” It sounds like an icebreaker question at the start of your midweek small group: _Would you rather have half a million pounds a month or be able to talk about Jesus at work?_ The scenario seems pretty extreme but, incredibly enough, this question is based on a real-life example. It has been reported that Brazilian footballer Neymar has a clause in his contract whereby he receives almost €500,000 per month if he avoids “any political or religious propaganda that could damage the image and unity of the club”. The Paris Saint Germain (PSG) player is a Christian and has made several public expressions of faith, but it seems, contractually, he is obliged not to make any more. The motivations behind this clause are fascinating to explore, both on the part of the club and the player, and it raises some interesting questions for all followers of Jesus. A SOURCE OF ENCOURAGEMENT Perhaps Neymar thinks that public declarations don’t make much of an impact. I would love to let him know that they do. In a world where it can feel increasingly unpopular to follow Jesus, public figures expressing how much their faith impacts their life can be a source of great encouragement. I have been known to punch the air in agreement with the Queen on Christmas day as she preaches Christ to millions, and holler in agreement with Justin Bieber as he affirms, “I doubt I’d be alive if not for Jesus.” I revel in retweeting the regular scriptural insights of The A-Team’s Mr. T. When celebrities step out in faith declaration, it reminds Christians of their own place in the cloud of witnesses and strengthens plausibility structures for those searching for answers or exploring Christianity. _MEDITATION:_ *"For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. *DAILY DEW 16/NOVEMBER/2022* *Kingdom Enforcement Agents* _Key Bible Text:_ *"(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ"* (2 Corinthians 10:4-5 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ *God is raising up an end time army to forcefully and prayerfully impose the will of God on earth (Mt.11:12).* Are you a soldier in the army of the Lord? There is a call of God for laborers in the vineyard of the Lord. The Bible says: Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.” (Mat 9:37-38 NKJV) The mission of the Church which is the Body of Christ on earth is to win souls and make disciples of all nations, to baptize them and teach them all things Jesus has commanded us (Mt.28:18-20). If you are part of the global church then that should be your assignment as well. Now how well you are doing in this mission would be the standard God would use to reward you in heaven (2 Tim.4:8). *There is a call of God sounding throughout the earth. It is a call for warriors, for soldiers for disciples to arise and take the battle to the enemy’s camp.* Proclaim this among the nations: “Prepare for war! Wake up the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near, Let them come up. Beat your plowshares into swords and your pruning hooks into spears; Let the weak say, ‘I am strong.’ “(Joel 3:9-10 NKJV) God is asking his children to wake up from slumber and to prepare for war. He wants His sleeping giant (the church) to wake up and take its place in destiny and fulfil prophecy. God wants His church to make known His multi-faceted wisdom to be made known to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places right now (Eph.3:10). You are part of the army of the Lord and part of the church. That is your destiny and it is time to rise up and fulfil your destiny in Christ. _MEDITATION:_ *News flash:- No civilians in God's kingdom. If you are not a soldier of Christ, you are not actually of Christ. *DAILY DEW 14/MAY/2022* *DEVELOP LEADERS* _Key Bible Text:_ *"And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also."* (2 Tim. 2: 2 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ We prepare to peach but don't prepare to develop leaders. You can preach GOOD SERMONS but LEAD POORLY. You can be a group, unit or departmental leader, and still not really influence and impact the lives of those under you! You must raise people ...even God recruited you. Yes, it takes time. It took God some time to get you here , so why are you in a hurry really? Spend the time with them. Give to them exposures you were given or wished you were given when you were at their age, and become to them the leader you wished you had had. The better they grow, the higher contribution they make. Except God tells you (the Shepherd, or the more spiritual, or the more sensitive) to part way with a fellow (a sheep, or brother/sister, unit, department, or church), help develop them. Don't abandon them! You must have people in the flanks. Therefore, develop them ahead of time. Abraham knew this... *"Abram heard that Lot had been captured. So he called out HIS 318 TRAINED MEN...."* Gen.14:14 If after all these years, you're still doing it alone, it means you've been on your own all along.
